Wow, that's incredible! What an amazing place to grow up. I grew up in snowy, northern United States so it's hard for me to imagine haha. Thanks for your comment!
Amazon Forest seems like an awesome place to expolre. Group of macaws looked amazing. Thanks for the tip on altitude sickness. City looks great. Stunning views. Wow! Happy hiking. You made it! Keep up with the great work 👏 😊 Lima tour seemed fun❤
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Exploring Peru was truly a magical experience. I'm not sure I can choose a favorite part myself haha. Have a great day! 😊
Hi, thanks for watching! We personally brought a can of "OFF! Deep Woods" in the 2.5oz travel size which worked very well for us (amzn.to/3I6qjA1). I would also recommend wearing long pants and long sleeves even though it is hot and humid. You can get sweat wicking, breathable fabrics, but try to keep your skin covered as much as possible from mosquitos. I hope this helps!
Hi! If you are able to, I would highly suggest staying in Tambopata for 3 nights since this will give you 2 full days to explore the rainforest. Then you would have enough time to do all of the highlights - trekking through the jungle, river cruise, and visiting the macaw clay lick. With only 1 full day you probably would not get to do all of these things and would need to choose between them. I hope this helps!
Hi Andrew, We were visiting Peru from May 27 to June 11, 2023. So we were in the Amazon at the end of May and did the Inca Trail at the beginning of June. I hope this helps, thanks for watching!
Hello, I enjoyed watching the video. I applied for a subscription. I'm planning an Amazon tour in February 2026, so how far is the Mako Mockingbird limit? I'm asking because I'm wondering how long a telephoto lens should be to take a good picture.
Hi, thank you so much! We really appreciate it. That's so exciting that you're going on an Amazon tour! I'm not sure, but we had a 70-300mm lens on our full-frame Sony A73 and quickly found that we wished we had a longer lens for more reach. I really wish I brought a teleconverter to extend the lens, but in a perfect world would have something like a 600mm lens if budget allowed. I hope this helps!
I see. I also have a 100-400m lens and a 1.4x teleconverter. A 600mm lens would be better. The price of equipment and the weight of the bag are burdensome, but if you want a high-definition picture, a 600mm lens is the answer. Thank you for your information.@@AdventureswithPinny
I have one more question. Is there only one place you've been to in the Mako Parrot Colony? Or I wonder if there are several more Mako Parrot Colonies in the Amazon@@AdventureswithPinny
@@최승빈-k2t From the Tambopata Research Center we visited the Colorado Clay Lick I believe, but I know the Chuncho clay lick is also nearby. Unfortunately, we only visited the one spot since we had a short stay in the Amazon. Thankfully we got lucky and had a great viewing of parrots! There are more clay licks in the Tambopata area as well as the Manu and Yasuni National Parks. But the largest is the Chuncho clay lick so I imagine this would draw the most parrot colonies.
@@AdventureswithPinnyThank you for the information. You should be lucky anywhere. That's right. I look forward to a good day, too. Thank you again for your reply. Have a nice day.
May i know what time of the year did you visit the Amazon forest? was this guided tour provided by your accomodation (ie.TAMBOPATA RESEARCH CENTER)? Thanks
Hi, great questions! We visited the Amazon during the very end of May. The guided tours were provided by our ecolodge (Tambopata Research Center) as an all-inclusive experience, which is why it is a bit pricey but we felt it was totally worth the price for the wonderful experience that we had. Let me know if you have any other questions, thanks for watching!
Hi, good question! To be honest it was not a cheap trip. 😅 This trip cost us about $4000 USD per person. The main costs for us were definitely the flights - from the US to Lima cost about $1000pp then $300pp for the inter-country flights. The all-inclusive in the Amazon was ~$1400pp total for 3 nights. The Inca Trail was $800pp. The rest was our hotels in Cusco and Lima. You could definitely do this trip much cheaper by 1. watching for flight deals (we did not choose cheap flights because it had to fit around our work schedule) and 2. choosing cheaper hotels. Especially for the Amazon if you are willing to be outside the National Reserve there are many great options of hotels for a much cheaper cost. It has been a dream trip of mine for many years so we made it a priority to save for it. I hope that this helps. Thank you for watching!
I was just gonna say I've looked into this for about a year depending what trip you take it can be 2200 to 4000 and in my opinion if your gonna do it do it right go with 4000 and get a good guide I'm taking 6,000 in total when I go and keep in mind it's once in a life time trip but let's say you meet ppl there witch means you could probably do it way cheaper the next time cause you might not have to go with a guide and personaly if you really wanna do it go with paul rosolie guide service there 4,000 out the door

the typical American naiv tourism trip. this is how real travelers do it: take 4 weeks, go to huaraz, travel slow and by bus without leaving out 100 highlights...
