What a great experience! As today July 5th 2023, the restaurant Central won the award as the best RESTAURANT OF THE WORLD. First time for a Latin-American restaurant to become #1 🎉 so you were very lucky to have this experience, since the are not taking reservations until 2025.
I think visiting FIRST the local markets knowing the elemental ingredients that exists in Peruvian cuisine was most right decision before go to dinner to CENTRAL because it gives a closer perspective of the innovation and probabilities of different dishes from those ingredients. Great video ! Greetings ! 😊
This is amazing. I was born in Peru, but raised abroad... and your whole experience gave me anxiety. Lol!! You're way more adventurous than me. But this is further motivation for me to go to Peru.
Anxiety? Haha oh nooo that wasn't my intentions. My social anxiety definitely comes out when I try to hype myself up to go meet people at the hostel bar alone, but everything worked out well and as you can see, I had an amazing time solo in Peru! I hope you do go to Peru sometime :)
You have done a really nice video here. Enjoyable and immersive tour that captures the beauty of Lima. Appreciate your work…have subscribed to the channel. ❤️❤️❤️
Great video! Thank you. My wife and I are going to Lima, Cusco and Arequipa end of July. We are very excited and nervous at the same time...we kinda concerned about our safety going to Peru because the stuff we read online. A lot less anxiety after watching your video 😊
Completely understandable! All 3 locations, speaking with locals and other travelers, have all said it’s been safe & no issues. There are some other areas/towns that are still a bit unstable but definitely not those 3. The locals are trying to get tourism back too so it’s felt really safe. Hope you have a great time and Lmk if you have other questions! I’m almost done editing Cusco vlog so that’ll be posted on Saturday!
Absolutely- felt super safe! Cusco vlog will be out on Saturday but I’m posting daily vlogs in the meantime (on shorts, ig, and tt). Hope those vids help too!
Hi! We're visiting Peru end of Aug and we saw your walking foodie tour and it looked so good!!! Can you help us with how you booked it? Or post a link if it was online tour? Thank you!!
Try stopping the video at 2:26 and scanning the QR code! My guide's name is Rubi and her Whatsapp is: +51 944 704 111. I booked through my hostel so not sure about booking online but you can ask her directly! Hope this helps!!
I cannot wait to try this restaurant very soon! Also, traveling to Peru, if you don’t have a lot of money and time to travel to Peru, would staying only Lima and traveling only there without Machu Pachu, would be a good experience without going to Machu Pachu?
I'm going to Lima in August and I wanted to book a reservation for Central and they are already all booked up for July and August and half of September. Lol! Better luck next time I guess. 🤣
Hi there! I loved your video, would you mind telling me what did you use for transportation in Lima? Uber/taxi, I’m traveling solo and I’ve heard the taxis are dangerous.
Hi Been following your stories and planning my first solo trip to peru, nervous abt being a solo female traveller in peru, I am thinking lima, cusco, the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu and huacachina, any safety tips/advice or tour company recommendations?
Thank you so much, that means a lot! I have since uploaded more videos on the Salkantay Trek to Machu Pichu and also my time in Cusco - highly recommend you check those out because they're filled with lots of useful tips and info!!
There's no link to the tour I went on because it was hosted by my hostel. You could join the hostels tour by signing up there hostelworld.tp.st/CpNisNAw or check out other ones like this Lima Peruvian Food Tour: gyg.me/2BPzeruh

That is crazy. 70 percent of this bideo spent on food?? Where is Lima? The beaches, transportation , architecture? Different areas of the city? We eat to live not live to eat. But food takes the most of time of this video. Shameful.
@@felisaxo I only watched the Peru ones. I'm not saying don't voice a CON, but maybe edit them to the end of the vid so it isn't up and down in the "future travel dream" watching. I'd still like to hear what's a pain, but maybe not when looking at something amazing. Anyway, the content is very useful. Tks
Hope you enjoy my solo travel in Peru series! Lmk if you have any questions and let's be friends on IG~ @felisaxo

Wow that's amazing!! Definitely lucked out!! Such an amazing achievement for Central!
We were able to book dinner reservations 2 months in advance so I don’t think that’s right lol

Absolutely!! Peru is so diverse and it is so fascinating to learn about the cuisine and landscapes.

I just finished Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. Absolutely amazing. Have a great time!

Thanks for your video. Curious to see how it's going in Cusco. It looks like there are a lot of travelers and seems safe enough to travel.

wow! I am going to Peru in Oct! I wanted to do Huacachina, did you go? What is the name of your hostel?
I did not but plan to next time I’m in Peru! I stayed at Kokopelli in both Lima and Cusco!

I booked in person at my hostel: Kokopelli Barranco

yes it was a splurge!
What is the name of the market? Where in Lima is it? We are visiting Peru next week!
Inka Market! I also posted daily vlogs in shorts (and IG and TT) if helpful. Have so much fun!! Peru has been amazing!

@@felisaxo Thanks for the heads up. I'll do that.
Hi there! I loved your video, would you mind telling me what did you use for transportation in Lima? Uber/taxi, I’m traveling solo and I’ve heard the taxis are dangerous.
Thank you!! Yes, there's uber and I asked hostel to book a car transport for me.

Hi, what month did you travel to Cusco?
I was there in May!
What medication you took for the altitude of cusco
acetazolamida altitude sickness pills, can buy at any pharmacy there
Hiii wondering if if the last minute flight to Cusco cost you more or less then booking ahead of time?
Definitely more expensive, I recommend booking in advance to save money!
What is the website link for the foodie walking tour? How do I join the tour

Kokopelli!
Great, thank you!
What's the name of the place you had accommodation? ♡
Kokopelli Lima Hostel!! hostelworld.tp.st/CpNisNAw
Hostel in Lima seems expensive for Peru? Appears you paid $75 us a night? Thought it would have been much less
I got a private room so that’s right. There are definitely cheaper options and dorm rooms are much cheaper!
What the name of the hostel ?
Just edited the description to include the hostel, Kokopelli Lima Hostel: hostelworld.tp.st/CpNisNAw
Must be nice to just decide to go to a different country and buy everything once there...
i don't recommend it!
that restaurant didn't seem worth it at all
You move camera so fast. It's annoying.
Oops sorry! Try slowing the video down to 0.75x lol
Lol your facial expressions does not look like you enjoyed the food overall.
LOL really?? Hahahah this comment made me laugh. I was dining alone and filming a lot so felt a bit self conscious!
Things are not that expensive there.. i think they were chargingbyou way too much because you wrre a tourist which sucks .!
Probably!! I also booked everything super last minute (lol not doing that again) so I knew I was paying more

I live to eat 🤔 a lot of culture can be learned through experiencing the country’s food

So. So much complaining.
