    Great video! Question, was this shot a few months ago or is it easier to just keep the Christmas tree up all year round to save packing it up? 😂😊 love your work guys.

    So much to see in South America . There so many countries worthy of visits. You couldn't say it any better. The travel tips are spot on. Harriet and I have been to 8 countries and enjoyed
    every one of them. It's a continent that you have to spend a little time in to get to know it's people and culture. Our approach is to do one country at a time. You manage to capture great footage despite your challenges. Kudos Stace for hanging in there when you were experiencing altitude sickness. Any plans in the future to visit other countries in South America?
    Nalu looks so cute. She must be a lap dog. Always looking for affection. Hopefully one day we could catch up with you somewhere in the world. Sending you Hugs🫂 and Kisses💋 from Richmond, Va. Harriet, Jim and Yuki

    About the service. The difference between New Zealand service and similar in New Zealand they always ask you if you want more ( sometimes they ask too many times ) but in south America (I'm from Chile ) most of the time you will get the waitress if you need something because we do not like to be interrupted. this also applies if you go shopping for clothes people will leave you alone and if you need something you can call them. but I agree that if you will speak Spanish maybe you can get them sooner.

    • @DaneAndStacey
      @DaneAndStacey  5 дней назад

      Very good points! We kind of prefer to be left alone, but then feel rude for interrupting and asking wait staff for help

    Great video guys! was really interested to hear how you got on with poquito espanol...as a solo traveller I found this to be my biggest challenge, I wasnt as fluent as I woudlve liked by the time I went and I definitely think its essential, its definitely not like a lot of other parts of the world where you usually always have some English in the high tourism spots, you really need to know Spanish, the tour definitely would've helped and I had the same luck of meeting a bunch of Spanish speakers at my hostel and we travelled together as a group from then...but without them it woudlve been so challenging! Im planning to return and have a tutor currently,
    Definitely a part of the world for the experienced traveller, only thing that sucks being from our part of the world, languages aren't as big of a deal because we are so far from everything! its funny meeting Americans who all speak good Spanish in that part of the world

    Awesome video guys, we’ve been following your journey as we prepare for our own trip to Peru, Bolivia and Brazil next month! Having a kiwi experience we can relate to definitely helps
    We did have a question that you can hopefully help with - did you guys end up getting the Yellow fever vaccination? Finding it difficult to find a definitive answer on whether this is a requirement for Bolivia
    Thanks so much!

    • @DaneAndStacey
      @DaneAndStacey  9 месяцев назад

      Awesome! Thank you! yes we did get the vaccine, not that we were ever asked about it but if you are asked (immigration etc) that could be a problem. Plus, better to be prepared in terms of the risks.

Just in relation to this question, I’ve read you can get the yellow vaccine for free over there, did you guys do this or get your vaccines here in New Zealand 🤍 Also wondering if you remember all the vaccines you got for your South America trip, you guys are our travel gurus so would love your input ☺️

    Hey Dane and Stacey, it seems you’re coming home now after a trip to South America! My wife and I are planning to visit New Zealand this year and maybe stay for a month. We live in Paris but are planning to go for a nomadic life. I'm just starting to learn about this and feel completely lost, so any advice or tips are welcome. Thanks for your generosity and inspiration ❤

    • @DaneAndStacey
      @DaneAndStacey  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! The nomadic life is amazing, so many positives and a lot of challenges too. Honestly the best we can recommend is to grab a copy of our How To Travel Full-Time book, as much as we hate to turn this into a 'sale' but it's 300+ pages of discussing ways to make money, adjusting to the life, the challenges and more.

    Great video, thanks guys. Have been intending to travel South America for a number of years but injuries and issues prevented me. Finally leaving in October and hoping to get out there for at least 4 months. Given that I am planning to be out there for quite some time, would you recommend just going with a large backpack? Or is it worth dragging a case around?

    • @DaneAndStacey

    Looks like it was an amzing trip....so much variety between the different countries which is always an added bonus. Well, so now is the time to start researching your Kimberley Cruise trip....haha. The perfect season for cruising is coming up soon....an amazing and barely touched part of the planet. None of the popular travel vloggers have been so far.....so, someone has to be first. Between Broome and Darwin is the popular cruises......prepared to be blown away by the ancient land. Thank me later !!!

    This was nicely covered. I'd still like to know the transportation in detail BC I don't want to take the G adventure through and through but take their day trips with Viator or get your guide. Did you say you took G adventure package? Thanks!!

    • @DaneAndStacey
      @DaneAndStacey  5 дней назад +1

    • @Wildheartbeats
      @Wildheartbeats 5 дней назад +1

      @DaneAndStacey Thank you for responding. It's not late for a response:) Yeah I cannot disaster stress goes away. I'll ponder over them. I think they charge heavy ... For obvious reasons... Only because a lot more can be covered with the same budget.

    • @DaneAndStacey
      @DaneAndStacey  5 дней назад

      You definitely can see more for the same budget, but not having issues with transport, a guide at every location, everything booked for you, language barrier eased and loads of great local recommendations everywhere you go

    • @Wildheartbeats
      @Wildheartbeats 5 дней назад

      @@DaneAndStacey Goodness my last comment was so broken amidst my work schedule. It made half sense. Lol. And yes, I'd not argue over the convenience having a tour and expertise in such remote, possibly a little unsafe location. Easy to move in groups and I'd not be shy of paying for comfort and safety ever. The other - on your own- but taking day trips thingy also seemed doable but it definitely comes with it's time consumption, having to worry and plan about everything and anything going wrong specifically in SA. Thanks again! :)
