- The Toyota Venza is BACK but this new intermediate crossover is nothing like the previous Venza. Now powered by only a Hybrid powertrain with standard AWD and the latest in convenience and safety technology.

Great review I purchased the 2021 Toyota venza limited in blueprint I'm March. And I absolutely love everything about it from the styling the technology to the comfortable seats to the stargaze moon roof and the gas mileage. I have no cons for it and am very satisfied with everything .
And the power lift gate as well
I love it! I wanna get one in XLE ❤
Of course it’s different than the first model. It’s actually Toyota Harrier (JDM version of Lexus RX). RX was originally Toyota Harrier. Not sure why Toyota just slapped Venza on it. For marketing purpose maybe? To top it up, it is still made in Japan.
Love the look of this
I picked up a Limited a few weeks ago. This car is perfect for me. If you want the utility of the old Venza, look elsewhere. If you want a Lexus for significantly less money, you should consider the Venza. The car is quiet and smooth and competent; it has more than enough power for passing and accelerating. The interior materials quality is great although I wish the armrest on the door was softer. The ergonomics are the weak point. The placement of the heated steering wheel and camera view buttons is completely hidden by the steering wheel. The heated/cooled seat controls are covered until you slide the centre armrest. The touch buttons are hard to see in the daytime, and I do miss a volume knob. The two tone interior shown here is the same as mine and I love it. Also, the new Celestial Black has more sparkle in the sun than any metallic black I’ve ever seen, it almost looks charcoal in direct sun. I have no regrets and I’m loving my first hybrid.
Great observations. Pretty well my exact thoughts.
I agree 100% about that and I feel the same about mine .
I drove a le and the tire roar was so loud, the radio couldn’t drown it out. I hope the xle sounds better
I own the original with 300k miles, and I am fan, this is good news
They need to do a software update to make a virtual home button.
Sorry, I would consider HIGHLANDER before this.......and I can see where the headrest would not be very good.....thank you for such a good review.
The highlander has more cargo space but I have the venza and I enjoy everything about it and it gets better gas mileage than the highlander
the 2021 Venza does basic off road and even decent grade hill climbs just fine. got to watch the clearence, but the all-wheel drive system has come a long way.
Only the LE doesn't have the annoying controls.
AWD put under VENZA it's very good
Actually the 12" infotainment is not standard on the XLE only on the Limited model. It is an option for the XLE. I think the sweet spot for this gorgeous SUV is the XLE w/the soft-tex upgrade package which gives you the heated & cooled seats, power passenger seat, heated & power steering wheel. That way you have the smaller 8" display with traditional tuning knobs and touch capacitive issue.
It is in Canada
Actually, handsfree power liftgate is standard on all Venza trim levels, even the base LE model.
Not in Canada😩
@@EverydayReviews2022 Oh OK thanks for explaining!
"The Most Premium Toyota"
Avalon: "Am I a joke to you?"
they'd contend I think, perhaps equal even.. as supposedly the original Lexus RX was based of this Toyota Venza/Harier overseas (outside of N.A)
Thanks for the review. The placement of the "Power" is a "NO" to me since the passenger may accidentally bump the power button when trying to reach for the USB port or cable. I am most interested in the review of the new 2021 Sienna but not just the high-end/expensive model but the 8-seater model that a minivan should be designed for - carrying as many people as possible.
The power button really is no probably for me because all my passengers now where it is and what it is and would not touch it .
I meant know
100% agree with your review. The interior is a complete mess.
The interior is not that bad.
Can you please mention the price each model in Canada for Base ,Primum and Limited,,,
The older Venza was definitely an unloved car.
Which Toyota car model gives best gas mileage or phev .
One big problem is the rear turn signals
I wonder if other drivers will see them
@Hugh MacIsaac Yes it's good that they added the mirror mounted turn signals. But still...
Thumbs up to... SavageGeese.
A very clean look without the roof rails and wheel cladding. Any info on tow hitch ? (mainly to carry bicycles)
They don’t recommend towing with it but I’m sure you can get a tow hitch installed for bikes.
My dad has the last generation and Toyota discontinued this line for few year. Inside feel a bit plastic feeling everywhere but it is pretty quite with Michelin tire and no major issue during the 8 years. I think that is the reason people choose Toyota. I kind of want my next car be quite on the highway and when passing bumper not much road feeling up and down , if you rate top three quite car you drive. What would those three be? Thanks I would say Q5 as one time the dealer give me as a loaner car but it might be a bit height for me when I get out, I am 5,9 175 cm. And it drink a lot of gas for sure, around 5 km per liter when I drive in the city, A4 around 8 km during rush hour in the city.
Head rests issues, power start button should be place in the trunk... lol. And what’s up with the rear signal lights on the bumper?
Will the Toyota Venza become available to buy in the UK?
Brian too much music but nice review
17:48 how did you get this shot? Did you drive around until you found an old Venza parked on the street?
Yup
Awesome car, but I've not seen in any reviews, does the sunroof open? How far does it open cause this is one of the most important feature for a family SUV for many people.
The roof is fixed and does not open. The Stargaze does have the electric frost though but that’s it. No open
These are deal breakers: No V6, CVT trans, low HP, back looks identical to Jaguar F-Pace. I think I'll keep my 2009 Venza V6 AWD.
We considered a Venza until we found out it has no knobs. Touch controls is dangerous while driving.
We bought another Rav 4 in the Prime
The LE has knobs.
Prime is great but so hard to get. How do you like it? I loved it!
I agree. The infotainment system, lack of knob and physical buttons, placement of some of the controls are all deal breakers for me
Get rid of the capacitive touch buttons and have a sunroof. Then this would be gold. There is no benefit to this over a Rav4.
I called the local Toyota at 9 am. They had one. I got there at 11.30 and it was already sold! It is hot! But how noisy is the 4 Cylinder engine during acceleration? THAT is my concern...
OK. Did test drive one. Engine roar during acceleration os not terrible but on the highway at 70 mph the window noise was kind of bad plus the car was swaying in the wind...duh
Only a little noisy under hard prolongs acceleration other than that the transmission and hybrid system does a good job of keeping the RPMs as low as possible as soon as possible. Does that make sense?
Wonder how much would it cost to replace that rear electric motor when fails. I would probably stick to regular RAV4. This thing looks like Honda HRV
Electric motors never fail. It only has one moving part. They have electric motors in factories that are over 100 years old and they are still working.
I don't think it looks like the Honda have I have one and it's styling is way better than the hrv by a landslide.
Why compare 2020 Venza with 2015? This is the evolution of Lexus RX into Toyota Harrier in Japan but brand named as Venza 2020 in the US. The Toyota Harrier 2013-2020 Model has similar style design and features.
It's actually a 2021 not a 2020
I was recommended this to everyone even before I've seen any review . I would buy this in a heart beat . But I Drive a Tesla . I'm in the future now
Why do modern vehicles like this have a bar across the middle of the roof preventing some 20% of viewing? my old 2008 Nissan Dualis has this roof for viewing and is great with no cross bar?
@Hugh MacIsaac That was my first thought but why has my 2008 dualis got more glass with no support?
I’m not sure. Not all modern roofs have these bars though. Some have massive pano roofs now without any bar. I’ll have to ask around.
Why Toyota is not able to give cushy door arm rest like Nissan rogue or even their low end models.Just a thin strip of leather like Honda.Only Nissan and Subaru are generous in this aspect and in same categoy
I have one and the arm rest is very cushy to me
Show us what you are saying. Head up display. Every things
Head up displays can be hard to show because of the frequency of the display makes it hard to see on camera. I do try and do it when possible. On this one I just showed it through the windshield. I only had a part of a day with the car.
New venza is way too small compare to the old ones. And obvously not a redesign.. toyota just use the badge ' venza' from the 'harrier'.. price and practicality,, people would rather buy a rav4 instead. Toyota stopped the production of the old model coz of the size.. it was squeezed between rav and highlander,, now they're doing the same thing.. hope it will stay in the market.
The odd placement of the start button and seat heating/cooling buttons seem like afterthoughts. And the lack of roof rails with the special glass roof is unfortunate. Toyota must not trust their customers to not damage the glass while loading cargo up top. Though when they say things like "grounded to the ground", I guess I can't blame them.
You really should have someone fact check the mis information you provide
Uh oh. What did I get wrong.
Would you care to expand? If it’s on trim levels, different options may vary depending on what market you’re in. These are Canadian spec’d cars and most often, the equipment is a little different than that of American cars.
The longggg front seems....well ugly!
Will it be possible in India. Otherwise this video is useless
only to you
This Venza is not at all good, no roof rails, no physical knobs or switches, and also smaller cargo compartment than any other SUV
I bought 2023 with roof roof rails and removed mine. I don't need them.
What the hell ? Toyota canabilizing their own products RAV4 and highlanders
For real. I paid 60k OTD for a fully loaded Highlander and I don't even get the Dimming Panoramic sunroof?? Like what the hell.
Your Highlander is much larger, carried more people and cargo and has a volume knob😜
That's an ugly looking infotainment system!
AWD put under VENZA it's very good
