I bought Alpha Industries M65 Jacket, since i like the vintage look i washed it regularly in the washing machine and let it dry in the heat of the sun. Now it looks vintage and faded.....

People like to say that this was the jacket used in Vietnam but the reality is, this jacket was way too hot for that climate and you rarely, if ever, see photos of soldiers wearing filed jackets in country.

I have a 2 tone one just like the jacket on the right. With a liner, it's a great winter coat. Don't listen to the "cotton kills" arguments.
"Cotton Kills" if it isn't waterproofed regularly and it's allowed to absorb moisture. These jackets were waterproof or at least highly water resistant as issued to U.S. Service People and there were specific laundering instructions for keeping them that way.
Indeed, the shell of later version is made by color blind professionals!

OG 107 ORIGINAL MEANT 100%COTTON, NOT POLY COTTON, THESE ARE JUST THAT STYLE OF JACKET. PEOPLE GET SUCKED IN ALPHA INDUSTRIES HAVE JACKETS MADE IN CHINA ( BUT TO THEIR SPECS OF COARSE!)
Those are really nice jackets I own a used one from Vietnam they are really good quality jackets

love those jackets. in almost every b grade movie and TV show in the 1970's and 80's depicting a washed up vietnam vet in civvy street, and he's got one on!
I know.
If you wear a faded M65 around in public and you actually LOOK and act like a person who should have a faded M65 on, people give you wide clearance. LOL.
And no phony military insignias or patches on them for people who weren't actually in the military. You don't need them to wear an M65 around with some authority.
