Now my 1st child is almost 18 and I'm almost 50. I WISH everyday I had gone back to TKD or at least kept training at home and keeping up my skills. Now skills I could do without any effort is a struggle. All that muscle memory is gone. You are still very young and I can tell you have a lot of potential and natural ability. Please don't expect to be like your Shoalin master who started at age 10. You will never catch up and if you do, it won't happen overnight. But you can start where you are and still build considerable skill. Your master is very strict and stern. I can tell he expects a grown man to have the the natural abilities, flexibility, stamina of a young boy. Keep at it until it all starts to come together. I am back at martial arts after all this time. I missed it so much and now I have major limitations but I'm not going to let it stop me and I hope not to quit anytime soon. Good luck

@@asmatullah5856 I think nowadays the dojo we see now are more a fraudulent version than years ago. I've seen them scam little innocent kids thinking the bizarre techniques they do and then they get bullied at the next day and with bruises when they come back for the next lesson. I know you did this to Go Beyond, but thanks for documenting this moment in your journey. It was cool, funny, and interesting. I learned somethings, but congrats man! Watching the next Vid.
I don't train as a monk, but I have been training in Shaolin kung fu since the age of 4. However, the pandemic shut down my studio and personal classes have gotten too expensive for my family to afford. It hurts so much to think of how much I am losing, but I plan to continue training alone. It does look tough at first, but with time and effort, it truly becomes a meaningful part of your life.
@@paemonyes8299 oh yeah, of course! Shaolin is just one style out of tons of Kung Fu styles. Classes can range from super casual training to investment of your entire life. I have a few friends who have gone to decade-long retreats. Their stories of lessons from their teacher seem like they came out of ancient novels. It really is magical in a way.
Shaolin Kung fu itself has styles too. I bet you have heard of them from a fun kids movie: Kung Fu Panda. Unfortunately, Panda isn’t a style haha. But tiger, snake, crane, monkey, and mantis are real styles. I have been trained in mantis for five years. My favorite style to watch is probably monkey for its energy, but all styles have super cool forms!!
@@sashimi1519 oh wow I know all these styles I mean I don't know but I've heard about all these styles in the movie of Chotta Bheem Master of Shaolin 😁
You are not losing anything... you are just not gaining more. That said.. its not about how much you learn and know. What matters far more.. is how much you have fully Mastered. For example... if you were to punch someone... and the laughed at you, because your power was weak.. vs .. if you could easily KO any fighter, from a fraction worth of your maximum potentials. Ive had three different teachers from the same art. Every time I would get so far into training... they would move out of state. Every time that I started a new school... the teachers would ALWAYS make me start from the very beginning.. even though I knew a lot more.. because they wanted to make sure that I didnt miss any of the potential differences. In the years between these different schools, I was practicing everything that I had learned... fully mastering each and every thing, on my own. For a while, I really was upset about having to keep starting from the bottom.. but in the end.. it turned out for the better. Why? Because I had trained in the Root foundations for so long... that I fully mastered it all. Unlike many others whom learned more... but... were very poor in all of it. I was able to take my solid foundation, and make work 1000x better. It also then became easier to add new things on top of this solid base. Its like if you tried to build your house on swamp-land. Eventually, its unstable ground would cause it to sink, and eventually, self destruct. So.. whatever you do that you have weaknesses within... focus on them, and work hard on fully mastering these things... one by one. There is no reason to be Idle. And there is no need to learn more.. when you still have not fully mastered what you already have.
There is stretching, there is strength training and there is combat training. He taught you strength training. In under (4) hours, I can train you to beat up Black belts from most styles. I am a Kung Fu San Soo Master and it is the true fighting style of Shaolin. Bring a friend.
It is great that you pushed through the pain and passed. The most difficult thing for me is discipline and every time i quit i feel less stronger. The master said that i will be stronger if i push through my pain. I will start again today. I am not sure about my self but i will try my best. Thank you for making me start again. I hope i will reach my goal Thank yoh again :)

If the whole world became a shaolin warrior, we would have been living in a dragon ball universe
Uhhh nope cause dragon ball is on whole another league and basically not all people in Dragon ball universe know kung fu if that happens we will more likely to be in baki universe 😀
@@sambhavbakshi3554 yeh sure but it's probably more like the naruto universe
Lol imagine all of us training to fight each other then we gotta run into people like gohan goku trunks vegeta
Well they won't survive in India because Kung Fu is just a part/faction of Indian Martial arts Kalaripayattu (mother of all martial arts) and it is not even like 20% hard and tough in comparison to Kalaripayattu .

Hey Hafu, it’s great seeing ur subscribers count gain so much this year. I still rmb watching your college crawl videos and the videos that u went to tsinghua last year.
Your never give up attitude is really inspiring. It reminded me when I started learning karate bt eventually had to give up for studies. I wish to continue learning this art in my college days :-) Let's see.....
Hafu: "I'm finally going to prove to myself that I'm not a coward."
Also Hafu: proceeds to attempt to high kick and lands hard on his back 😂😂
This was so much fun to watch. Well done, Shaolin Kung Fu Master in the making, Hafu 🙏🏽
Call me Kungfu Hafu
@@hafu 😎😂
@@hafuCan I learn it too?
Hi and respects. Great training. I was so happy for you as well at the ending. As for me I trained Kung Fu for almost three years but that was back in 2001, the experience was great.
Wishing you all the best on your martial arts journey.
His voice is so gentle and polite.
*Great example of why we should never give up!!!* 🤩👌
This remind me of the time I attend my first Karate class and then I quit
What belt were you?
Weak
“pathetic”
Why you left
@@asmatullah5856 I think nowadays the dojo we see now are more a fraudulent version than years ago. I've seen them scam little innocent kids thinking the bizarre techniques they do and then they get bullied at the next day and with bruises when they come back for the next lesson. I am self taught and I train muay thai so to stay in shape and improve my health further. Belts dont mean anything but how much experience in a martial art you train.
this looked so good to the point where it looked like a shirt film incredible
Anime protagonists be like: omg i trained Hard for 3 seconds, now i defeated the demon Lord ez
I know you did this to Go Beyond, but thanks for documenting this moment in your journey. It was cool, funny, and interesting. I learned somethings, but congrats man! Watching the next Vid.
Congrats🙏your fighting spirt will get you far🥋
This was sooo inspiring that I can feel it . It even inspire me to go beyond my limits
You got this Dona!
@@hafu 😃✌️yup, all thanks to you
I don't train as a monk, but I have been training in Shaolin kung fu since the age of 4. However, the pandemic shut down my studio and personal classes have gotten too expensive for my family to afford. It hurts so much to think of how much I am losing, but I plan to continue training alone.
It does look tough at first, but with time and effort, it truly becomes a meaningful part of your life.
owh, I did not know you can practice shaolin kungfu without being a monk first…. I thought it was a special class (which it is)
@@paemonyes8299 oh yeah, of course!
I really love it,looks like my child dream of Kung Fu Training and masters plzz post this. 🔥🔥
Thank you for sharing!
Very inspiring, Hafu! I would love to learn more about this type of training or similar.
Yeah I’ll upload more videos next week!

ranton: swiggity swooty, I'm coming for that booty
😂
I'm very excited to see further training sessions :) and yes! Congratulations on learning something new 😃
Thanks mahn. Your words helped me solve an issue.
Dude, I was so proud of you at the end!! Nicely done. New sub💞
You were pretty good tbh I’m training for 8 years straight and for your information we do all that training and more for every day in the week at 7am
I can feel the pain 😭
I can already feel the pain in that monk when he kept failing
Pain: *exists*
Shaolin masters: I missed the part where that's my problem
This is literally so Zen😂
There is stretching, there is strength training and there is combat training. He taught you strength training. In under (4) hours, I can train you to beat up Black belts from most styles. I am a Kung Fu San Soo Master and it is the true fighting style of Shaolin. Bring a friend.
I like how I can understand the shaolin master because it sounds way cooler
This is their basic training. Quality training is 10000000 times difficult than this .
It is great that you pushed through the pain and passed. The most difficult thing for me is discipline and every time i quit i feel less stronger. The master said that i will be stronger if i push through my pain. I will start again today. I am not sure about my self but i will try my best. Thank you for making me start again. I hope i will reach my goal
Thank yoh again :)
So how'd it go?

I’m surprised this is not an obnoxious challenge video
Fun fact Kungfu was taught to chinese by pallava prince from south india called bodhidharma, the world's first martial arts originated in india
Known as kalaripayattu
But india failed to preserve it represent it promote it , next thing is yoga & ayurveda
Very fun fact
@Steve based steve
@Steve i dont think so, eg- india's mars(mangalyan) mission got succeeded in first attempt, india's vaccine drive is going good too
As an indian I can say that it is failing in many perspectives.everyone wants to escape from here that's reality
@Steve yes thats true
Hell yeah!!! I was rooting for you
This is what tough love really means . The monk is kind and helpful .
