Lenovo Legion Go S is the best handheld gaming PC in 2025 so far before Lenovo Legion Go 2: It's GO TIME! 😆
msi claw 8 ai plus and onex f1 pro legion go s Is garbage 55w battery
It’s the only one in 2025 bruh 😂
@@Diquetraysay some people really don't care much about the battery.. 90% of the time I'm chilling on the couch plugged in anyways
Yup, it's so much better than Steam Deck OLED
@Mr3-j4m that's interesting to hear, Steam Deck OLED is amazing, but Legion Go S is amazing too
Cliff notes of the stream in regard to the Legion Go 2
1. They plan to streamline driver update process. Now that the display is native landscape, it doesn't require a special driver so they'd like to just have the drivers come directly from AMD.
2. It seems that there will be multiple skus for the Legion Go 2. Seems like you'll be able to choose different specs because Ben, Product manager, said the lower spec Go 2 will be equivalent to the high spec Go S
3. He confirmed HDR
4. He said something about the detachable controllers potentially having USB-C for charging. The prototype has it but may not be on the final device.
5. Rail design for the controllers are exactly the same on the Legion Go 2 as they are on the Go 1. Go 2 controllers will be sold separately if you want it for your Go 1.
6. Will ship with 2242 but you can use a full 2280 SSD
7. Fingerprint/Biometric login will be added
8. Native landscape VRR with 97% DCI color gamete
9. Fans inside are bigger and more efficient.
10. They're aware of the support concerns and it's a priority. Geo-political things kind of limit them but he couldn't expand.
11. They took a lot of community feedback and it helped them improve upon the Legion Go
Thanks for the breakdown!

I want the 2 and the steam os version
@@Xavier-D88fucking GOAT!
Please, please premiere Lenovo Legion Go 2 already
I can't wait any longer
As someone who owns a Legion Go, I love it for what I play on it. Out of the whole conversation, I was hoping to hear something about the battery. Along with everything stated, that would make a huge improvement overall. I hope that can be presented in a later video.
@@rocklight86 the battery in the Go 2 is way bigger
Huge props for you guys to go through these questions, I really hope your new devices are successful. Looking forward to it :)
Lenovo Legion Go 2 looks TIGHT!
Thank you Lenovo for the current legion go graphics update that came out today. You guys over at Lenovo are great 😊
I love my Legion Go! Couch so, that I have 2! Can’t wait for the Legion Go 2!
I was wondering the same thing maybe 2 is good for playing different kond of games cause i got a lot, it is worth it to have 2?
@ my teens have the 2nd one
Thanks for the info - be curious to see how things shape up with the LeGo 2

LEGION (of) BEN
Hurry up with the Go 2 please. Im throwing my money at the screen right now trying to make it come faster! 😂
Keep in mind it’s downgraded from 1600p to 1200p
Does anyone even play at 1600p though? I've heard it's rough performance wise when you crank it up to full res, they are adding OLED and VRR on the LLG2, undoubtedly will perform much much better then the LLG1
@LegacyRap7777 i play all the games at 1600p
You will notice the difference if you change to legion go 2
@@hiruzensarutobi7786 And that's a good point !
@@hiruzensarutobi7786 thats a benefit.
Ben is a well spoken guy, and right to the point
I told myself I'd hold off on a PC handheld for a while, but that Legion Go 2 with that OLED display is REALLY tempting
I hope the Go 2 sticks have more tension. The Go 1 felt very loose.
I own a Legion Go and the Legion Go 2 will be a day one buy for me.
One question that's been answered incorrectly multiple times in your screencasts is you can add games from Epic, GoG and other stores to SteamOS. You add them from desktop mode and they will appear in the gaming interface alongside your Steam games.
Thank you for the heads up! Apologies if that was from me
@@BenjaminGreenYT No problem Ben. SteamOS is not locked down in any way whatsoever, that's part of the appeal. Installing SteamOS games is easier, but adding non-Steam games is about as hard as adding them would be in Windows. Install launcher (recommend Heroic or Lutris), sign into your accounts (both support multiple stores), click install. Both launchers will automatically add the installed game to Steam's game mode for you if you wish.
Na its 100% harder. @Invid72 using heroic makes it a bit easier but you also need to select a proton version half the time also. Even if its only 2 or 3 more steps, tht means it is more work.
How well will these newer games run on the go 2? Big fan of the OG Go.
Also when is the release date?
Wow so OLED and VRR been confirmed - game changer
11:30 Really glad we're getting a Z2Go(cut down 6800HS) Z1X, and Z2X options
It is important to note that the Z1X being offered is great middle ground between the Z2 Go and Z2X, the Z2 Go is basically a 6800HS but with 4 cores disabled The Z1X is faster in every way going from 6nm down to 4nm, Zen3+ to Zen4, RDNA2 to RDNA3.
The Z2 Go is going to be a great APU as long as the price of the device reflects this 3 year old chip. I have used the 6800HS in a $500 mini PC with native SteamOS and 32GB of RAM as a mini steam machine for my little 1080p kitchen TV and it has been great. That same box with the Z1X(7840HS) was selling for $799 at the same time, (they had a 16GB version for $729 but 16GB is really not enough for modern games on an APU IMO)
I'm going to wait on the Legion Go 2
same
Ben is a legend
When can expect the Go 2 to be release?
Legion go 1 and 2 needs a key board attachment or a case
Will there be a trade-in scheme for the Go 2 if you’ve got a Go 1?
yeah they'll probably offer you 5 bucks cash or 10 bucks off your go 2.
How about trade offers from Lenovo for owners of the LeGo Gen1 who want to upgrade?
I'm sure you'd get a lot more just selling the current version, Best Buy has that option, but for the highest model legion Go and an Xbox series X, they only offer $180 trade in
Man I wish I had caught this video live. With Lenovo and Valve partnering, they should make a detachable steam controller that connects to the legion go 2 natively. The Valve trackpads work so well.
When does it realeaze and price???
I never got one to test and review. what's up with that??????
WOW
So much to unpack!!
Absolutely love the Legion Go 2 more and more by the day!
I really hope there's substantial battery life improvements these things are handhelds not portable desktops
Will there be a more simple style of controllers for GO 2, like in the GO s, less buttons and adjustable triggers, just a thought 😅
Are you (Lenovo) ever planning on enabling the Legion Go (& 2) controllers to connect to a PC and act as a regular controller? I do love these, and would like to use it as a regular controller.
When is it released? lenovo legion go2
Those two additional macro face buttons will be so nice for emulation for say switching screens in citra, toggleling fullscreen and so much more
Will you offer new trade in options for Legion go 1 models?
also will the z2 extream use 890m graphics??
They should just upgraded everything instead of making it a cheaper alternative. If the Steam os version was white and had 80w battery with oled screen and z2 extreme, it would be a no brainer even if the price went up by 300-400. Sucks having to wait for the LLG2 for 6-11 more months and knowing it will still be running windows.
Can't wait for the Go s with SteamOS. I'm sure it'll be great. ^_^
As a Go 1 owner please move both of the USB C connectors to the top of the Go 2. The bottom one is impossible to use when placed on a desk or in a dock so you effectively have only one. Please. Also, I understand you plan to ship the Go 2 with Windows, but please select a fingerprint reader with Linux drivers also as many of us will not be using Windows on the Go 2.
Edit: to be clear, you don't have to provide Linux drivers, that's handled by the Linux kernel itself. All you need to do is choose fingerprint reader hardware that's Linux friendly.
Please also release a right controller that doesn’t have FPS mode! I never used it on the go 1 and would prefer to have a right controller with the same back vertical button config as the left controller.
9:40 You'll want 65w but if you run in a lower power mode it would be doable with 45w, i keep my Legion Go 1CPU in a low power state using custom windows power plan (all i did was disable turbo by setting maximum CPU frequency to 95% really going to miss this control when microsoft removes it) and then let the GPU run free in "performance" mode in the legion go power plans, and this allows me for the most part to stay charged using my 40w steam deck charger. Nearly all games are still GPU bound, but the ability to switch windows power plans within the legion go overlay means its easy to switch to a power plan that still has turbo for the rare game that is CPU bound.
the most important question ... does it support 2280 nvme instead of rare expinsive 2242 NVME ??!!! and the new samsung Microsd express cards ??
when will you release the drivers for the Z2 Go?? legion space needs an update its buggy it doesnt detect my games
Will be nice to know what m.2 drives will be compatible with acceptable wattage ratings when you have that information available
Would have loved to have the OLED option for the go s. It came dangerously close to a device that potentially checked all boxes
I have such a hard time believing that a 2242 is cheaper than a 2280 even at scale, it's a niche form factor that doesn't do anywhere near the same volume globally. I've never seen a 2242 in anything except a handheld.
Hope legion go 2 is good. Helldivers on decent graphics with 60 fps would be dope before appying lossless scaling
I think Legion Go S will be the sweet spot but I wanted Z2E version. Now I understand why it's not possible without socket change so thank you :)
About 1st LeGo fan you know that it's not so bad as it looks from the box? I've got LeGo and Ally and in fact LeGo has better cooling solution. If you change the fan curve you can have 20W super silent device at 75-80C :) It's also nice to hear that Z1E will be the option on LeGoS with SteamOS. I'm currently having fun with Bazzite on Ally so I it's really nice to hear. We'll see how Z2Go will perform at say 15W vs Z1E considering also battery consumption vs performance in games :) I'm just super happy that Lenovo is making 1st in the world handheld with SteamOS :)
How many hours of gameplay will the 74wh/hr last?
I expect it’ll be roughly comparable to the Ally X and Claw 8. The Z2 chips are supposed to be much more energy efficient when compared to the Z1 chips.
The first one was about an hour and a half with 49 wh. But assuming the new chip can get better performance at lower wattage, id say about 2-2.5 hours
Why not use strix halo on the go 2? The current chips are way too weak.
I have the same question.......
Did this video talk about if the legion go 2 has either 880m or 890m?
They said there are multiple skus for the go2 some of which will infact use the 890m
Do any of the upcoming Legion Go's support SD Express Cards? That would be a HUGE upgrade to storage space and speeds.

14:51 If the legion go s steam version could maybe come in white
Do you think it would be released in may like the violet purple?
Wait, the Ben's aren't the same person?
will they provide driver updates or just broken ever 6 months?
I'm glad to hear about driver update improvements, i really did regret buying a Z1 over a 7840HS because of how far behind the drivers were at some times, most of the time older drivers were absolutely fine just sometimes behind on features like FSR AFMF, but sometimes games didnt want to run properly on older drivers.
Not entirely the manufacturers fault, AMD chose to make the Z1 family of drivers different enough that you cant just use the AMD driver installer without breaking things like scaling refresh rate controls, landscape/portrait controls, vsync, and even resolution control in several games are just greyed out with AMD drivers over the device manufacturer's drivers
I'm torn between OLED 1200p and the old LCD 1600p, I LOVE OLED, but i like the ability to run games at 4:1 perfect scaling at 800p:1600p when the devce is not powerful enough to do more than 800p, yes the Z2X is more powerful, and 1200p is easier to run than 1600p, however is the Z2X going to be 2x as powerful as the Z1X because thats how much more power you need to go from 800p to 1200p (closer to 2.3x)
Please come out soon in Denmark
Ben sounds like an AI voice
We used a bit of processing to improve the audio since it was rough in the original, but it is indeed him speaking!
Question: This may sound dumb but can a SSD with a heatsink fit or should I just add a SSD w/o heatsink? I'm planning on getting the Windows Go S version.

Legion go 2 isn’t coming in April it’s coming some time in 2nd half of the year!
Is it going to natively support AMD eGPU without the need of side-loaded driver?
Must be 3k for yousing youtube not just gaming
will the legion go 2 have a steam os version?
Thank you for reaching out to Lenovo Customer Support! As of now, there are no official announcements regarding a Steam OS version for the Legion Go 2. We recommend keeping an eye on our official channels, such as the Lenovo website or social media, for any updates on product releases or new software versions. Błagam zróbcie już premierę Lenovo legion go 2
Nie mogę już dłużej czekać
The Z2 Go is a custom Lenovo chip in the same way that my fully stock 2021 Camry is a new custom car…. I call it Old Silver and slapped in an air freshener, pretty customized! Lenovo just got a 3 year old chip on a discount from AMD and slapped a new name on it, instant custom chip.
Nothing wrong with using the 6800U, AMD prob had spare capacity for non leading edge chips but the custom silicone bit is 99% marketing pablum. At best they tweaked/optimized the tdp a bit
i've been trying to save up for a legion go for months cant wait to get one (maybe do a give away plz 😭😭
God Bless 🙏
Just give me a price man I know you guys probably can't give a price but at least give me a ballpark price?

We probably won't know for at least 3 months or so. Even if Lenovo gets their manufacturing costs and all sorted out, the big unknown for these and everyone importing in the US will be any potential duties that the new adm. Is threatening to impose. I am hoping the GO2 wil be around the same as the GO1🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞. I rock mine almost every day since i got it when it first released.
I reckon around $1000 atleast since it's a step up from Rog ally x and that's priced quite high.
@@chugo145more like 2 Go 1 mate. Thats why they added the S
$800-$1000 is most likely
I have the legion go 1, I am not going for legion go 2 just yet
32gb of ram and OLED screen are the reasons I'll be upgrading to the Go 2.
Just got mine a few months ago but I think the improved battery, more ram, OLED, improved controllers, all make an upgrade worth it for me.
@jonathanaguilar710 oh I forgot about the improved battery. That too lol! I actually have a 250wh anker battery i carry around so the battery isn't that big a deal for me but I'll gladly take a larger battery too
My biggest concern is the legion go S mini trackpad is going to be absolutely garbage and unusable.
Q&A for 2025 Legion laptops next??
Working on it!
Legion go 2, please have an 80+ watt battery
I thought Legion Go 2 with Z2 Extreme already launched ? Or not yet ?
Not yet
@@jadenbishop2297Any release date?
A trade in program would be nice
It’s seems it will 1300 dollars high end it
As much as i enjoy the legion go 1. I am wary of Lonovo after their raido silence in support for software for legion go 1 owners on software support.
if you read this please make the bezzels less big its realy big make it alot smaller or nano bezels and when will you release the z2 extreme we need date man we want dont make it expensive
on top and down is the bezzels to big
I have my Legion GO 2 configured with 4 cores + SMT and have my power profile set to auto and the performance is acceptable and I get around 2 hours of batt life (in RDR 2). I think the Go S is going to be killer for perf / batt life.
Expensive much
Lenovo must solve software problems drivers works so bad also legion space
Drivers will always be a problem with pc
Why aren't you selling legion go S with OLEDNand Z2 extreme? Regular Z1extrem is 10% more powerful than regular Z2.
Also why aren't you releasing the Legion go 2 first. Why do you sell two options? If you see your competitors. Asus, etc no one wanted the regular Z1 handheld. Give us Z2 extreme legion go S with OLED.
I don't use the detachable controllers. No one does it's a gimmick. Companies if you actually listen to your consumers you will sell a ton of these handheld. Gaming industry as a whole does the exact opposite of what their customers actually want. Then you wonder why a product doesn't sell.
thank you for this
Quick question. Is there anuway possible to pull up rhe keyboard on a controller? I play warframe....a LOT and it would be pretty cool to not have to disconnect the controllers and then connect them just to pull up a keyboard
