Great to hear, but what Enlisted needs most IMO are improvements to its graphics/special effects/animations. I think this Gaijin's player/Ai squad system is a much more sustainable model compared to a purely player based one, and if they would improve realism by bring the graphics/special effects/animations up to HLL levels, the game would be excellent.
@@nubtube7313 IMO graphics are quite literally the least important issue regarding Enlisted. It is no Battlefield 1 but the game still looks good and can even look great on the highest setting. Much more important would be to implement gameplay changes like adding a suppression system. And even more important to immersion would be changing the voice lines that currently, without exception, sound like 13 year olds on a dicord server (seriously, as a German the German voice lines make me physically cringe).
I actually really enjoyed this game but the squad AI was just too awful, people just resorted to making their squad wait in a safe place as reserves for when they die
Actually that is just a tactic enlisted encourages players to do. Pressing x on your keyboard tells your ai to wait where ever your looking at. If you want to he competitive I'm the game you gotta also do that tactic. I usually stick my squad behind me and just use the player controlled soldier to probe my way up the battlefield. Your asking to get squad mowed down by an mg if you don't do that.
I'm loving Enlisted. Haven't had as much fun with a game in over 10 years. It has such a great intensity and pace due to the squad system. All the matches feel like a real battle, the maps are linear, trench-attack-style rather than run&gun enemies that spawn behind you. It has the best vehicle integration of any game due to WT models. And it runs extremely well on low-end PCs. Just wish the community did a better job at creating hype for it, because it's pretty good.

I play this game just about every day. As a WW2 enthusiasts, I love this. All other ww2 shooters, take a note. This game has its flaws. But it stays athuthentic to the people whom actually served. Bless them ALL.

I started playing it last month and i really like it. I think it has the best urban warfare feeling out of all ww2 games i've played. The feeling of slowly progressing building to building in Berlin or Stalingrad is priceless. The gunplay is very satisfying. Progress is really fun at first when you can quickly upgrade your units but it slows down after a while, similar to warthunder or world of tanks, the higher tier you are trying to unlock the more you have to grind. But overall its a very enjoyable experience in my opinion. I really reccomend checking it out.

I honestly like that it is slow, cause you fell how it getting stronger and your soldiers become more personal, plus you can grind on events golden ticket for weapons or unique weapons for them. I played since start, for fun when i had mood + grinded events. The only thing i bought is battle pass on last week it was my first money spend, cause i did all battlepass and got all money back for next one instantly.
@@luisromo5251 luke seeng your soldiers grow from no one with even no pistol, just a rifle and medpack to a veteran strong soldier with his own name and good guns with gadgets, becoming step by step into rambo))) i think progression system is really good it rewards you just for playing, with every match you become a little stronger then you was, so the game can be played longer. For example in battlefield you gain a gun you like and stick to it and that is all, you just play with that and there is no actual progression, maybe skins but it doesnot feel like you progress in long term
Exactly takes growing a squat with slow reloading only 3 men with bolt actions to 8 men with 3 of ‘em assault weapons fast reloads and much more perks such a fun game for me I only play on my days off only game that keeps my interests
I'm a veteran enlisted player and I have to honestly say I really like it. I agree that there are issues that need to be fixed ASAP (matchmaking, progression system, etc.). That being said, I guess from my point of view it's a pay to fast game, not pay to win. But I guess with the new update and the new merge, those will be problems of the past... I hope so. I love this game only game that’s keeps my interest i like the slow progression makes you feel proud of the weapons you obtain and squads destroying the lower classes
For the most part, the things you can spend money on are just ways to progress faster; arguably some of the premium squads are a lot better than what you can unlock for free by playing, at least if you are still early level, but it's mostly just XP bonuses and skins. Where the game truly is pay-to-win is the squad slots: by default, all players can only bring 3 infantry squads and 1 vehicles squad into battle, premium players can purchase squad slots and bring up to 10 squads into battle, 7 infantry or 4 vehicle max. This means F2P players must deal with opportunity cost and aren't as versatile in battle while paying players always have the squad or vehicle they need to respond to any situation.
I would argue that the paywall content is actually like 10% -20% while the rest can be unlocked for free, you still have to play various campaigns and factions as each one of them get their respective progression system, but it will be changed later on this year with a similar progression tech system like War Thunder. As for the gameplay, i did enjoy playing the Axis Berlin campaign as they get powerful weapons, armor and planes like the FG42, MG34, Flammerwerfer 35 and Panther, Tiger II etc. I'm still at level 25 and i can't wait to unlock the MP43s and the assaulter squad and scoped StG 44 as sniper squad which are also very good. This game is fun to enjoy as long it doesn't make your second job to grind and unlock everything. EDIT: with the merge update coming very soon, this comment may be considered outdated since the teching order of weapons, planes and armor wouldn't beordered by campaigns but by factions altogether.

They should also make new Campaigns for Italian. also wish they have 1944 battle of bugle in the Game. May be bring 1941 Battle of France into the game. 1944 Polish uprising need to be in the game, too Enlisted is the best WW1 First person game so far

I can say with certainty.. I just downloaded and started playing today.. on a whim.. I think I saw a video where it was recommended. And I'm hooked! And there was zero waiting .. unless I played all AI, which I don't think is a thing, it's good to go! What a fun game! And pretty realistic. Now.. I just need to learn how to play, albeit my 2nd match I got 3rd in kills and we won both rounds! So, so far so good I'd say! 😂
As an experienced entlisted player, the only "p2w" is when you buy extra slots, but 1 extra slot is enough for most scenario's. If you give a unexperienced player a stg44 he will perform somewhat better, but in the hand of an experienced player it is a deadly maschine. The thing is, an bolt action rifle is faster killing your opponent than an stg44 but you have less of an chance.its part of the training procces. Also there is a voice chat, but only if you play with friends and only with them. A team of 4 is possible there. Also matchmaking is random, for now, so

The matchmaking is absolutely broken. I was playing BR 1, Panzer IIs, getting matched against BR 3+, getting one shot by the tier 3 anti-tank rockets, which aren't even available to the lower BRs, or fighting flamethrower units (unlocked in mid BR 3) at BR 1. I don't know how they messed up matchmaking so badly. And the faction that I used to main, Italy, is completely gone now.
The matchmaking system is indeed something that needs improvement. But I got a feel when recording a new Enlisted video recently, after the merge update and a few other updates, that the matchmaking system has become slightly better, since it now tries to match people with similar gear/squads?
I haven’t played the game in a good minute, but been wanting to come back. What’s stopping me mostly the matchmaking. When I’m using the default Soviet tank I just get one shotted and I can’t do any damage to the others? Maybe that’s just me not understanding things, but the infantry gameplay is fun. Maybe just need to watch some guides. Also the UI and everything can be quite overwhelming.

I can see why new player will think the game is pay to win, the first thing one my friends said when I introduced him to the game was “wow, this game is really pay to win.” I have taken down entire 40 dollar premium squads with just a starter bolt action rifle plenty of times before. Me and my friends have never spent a penny on the game we consistently get top three on the leaderboard.
Yes, I believe it's a combination what some people actually think but also what they might have heard other people say or write about Enlisted, when it comes to being pay to win or not. It's a pretty interesting discussion, though :)
True, there's definitely room for improvement, and the modern technology has come pretty far when it comes to a bit more "intuitive" AI in videogames. And AI on the highest settings (veteran) for example in Cod games can definitely make you sweat. But they can also have a mix of skill and playstyle (meaning the AI).
True. The AI is dogshit. You can put them on Anti air or anti tank turrets and they will never hit anything. You can set them along a hill for an ambush and they won’t see further than 50 ft in front of them. And they wont hit anything more than 20 ft
Just started playing for the first time. In my one week games I have noticed: - Squad mates are just targets the enemy can kill one by one giving you no time to react when you die and "move" to the next squad member. Also I think they are just making it pretty clear for the enemy to spot my hiding place. - Machine guns are way to weak compared to rifles. Targeting an enemy more than 10 meters away is just impossible to hit more than once, giving the opportunity to the target to shot you back with his rifle. - Airplanes are terrible to fly with mouse and keyboard. They should have used war thunder's flying model that is way better. - Spoting enemies at the ground is way too difficult while flying if no one marks targets on the ground to help you. - earning ingame money to buy better weapons is TOO slow. At least for a new player. - Some players can kill me while I am hiding behind a wall near a window or door for some reason. - watching a replay I noticed an enemy passing by my character and while I started to turn and try to hit him with my bayonet he just faced back to me, without even turning normally, one second facing away the next second facing my back and killed my character... - I've seen enemy players one shot me from 100+ meters away with a rifle (not snipers) while my character is barely uncovered. How the heck can they see me? - tutorials are barely covering the game mechanics. Most things I have learned just by playing or watching videos. Overall it's a fun game with no big waiting times to get in the action. I wish there was no time limits in the battles or maybe double the time.

As a ex pro player when they where some tournaments, idk anymore, i play "casual" the p2w shit its the excuse for the noobs, the dudes who started and have no experience on how the weapons works, you can play with you the start weapons and you still are a beast, since the releasing they buffed majorly the bolt actions, i had a friend that hates the autos in the game and only plays with the stock bolt action, and he has some times that beats me on the table. The ideea is p2w in enlisted is a dream, the grind is what the ppl talk about, for an example i barely have full campaign on Stalingrad on both sides, and i have 300 hours so yeah. Hopefully helped you the answer from a pro perspective

Didn't know that there was some tournaments in Enlisted, but nice to hear that :) Yeah, I also do well in this game just playing with what I got from from the start in Enlisted, just by playing the game. Due to my experience when it comes to playing and also "reviewing" some free to play shooters, there's very often different opinions regarding these games monetization systems. Some are obviously more pay to win than others. However, I also believe that a percentage of people sometimes make a comment that a game is p2w since they aren't doing well in the game, and it might therefore feel better to blame it on something else than their individual lack of skill and experience :)
the only thing id say was p2w was the kurz, which you pretty much had to grind the entire bp or pay for to get... which has now been removed; oh yea and the fuckin as 44 squad... which performs marginally better than the mkb and fedorov

I’ve played Enlisted since it’s release and I can say that this game is addictive, same as war thunder in that it is very Grindy and if want to stay free to play like me, you must rush to get assaulters, assaulters will rack up your kill count tremendously with SMGs and such, the game CAN be pay to win, but a lot of people who play the game are either professional moms basement dwellers who spend their life savings on this game, casual free to play za za enjoying gamers, or little kids who got a hold of moms credit card who have more premiums than IQ count.
If you check the high number of "desertors" each combat in the German side... you can imagine the players are not happy about what is going on in the game.

What I find interesting is Germany gets screwed over by a map composition all the time, almost every map. They have some of the most broken gear but can't use most of it due to choke points almost deliberately going against their favor. You cannot set up a good set of defensive guns because of it, I recently bought the German heavy gunner pack and no matter what I do I can't find a good place to set up my guns. Either the enemy is already rushed there or the capture point randomly spawns on the other side of where it usually is. Making that defensive position you just set up useless.
You are indeed pointing out an old problem within Enlisted. Meaning that some maps, favours certain factions/countries. Or at least a having a disadvantage of for example being the attacking team. Or the opposite around sometimes, for that sake. I hope that the new update (New Era) when it comes to the matchmaking system, has made it possible for better balance between teams and players. That can't affect the map design or balance between countries, of course, but hopefully more balanced battles overall. I'm talking about it in another Enlisted video I just posted on my channel :)
The concept of you controlling a squad instead of a single soldier is really smart game design. It allows weapons like bolt action rifles to insta kill, as they realistically should, without feeling frustrating to fight against. If you get instakilled with a rifle, just duck into cover with the rest of your squad. It's also really fun to mow down so many soldiers each round. Even the worst players will have at least 20 kills at the end of the match. My issue with enlisted is how much paying real world money changes the game. It gets you better loadouts and frustratingly - lots of mines. You pay money and give each soldier in your squad a land mine - you go into an objective and spend several minutes placing down like 9 land mines with each of your soldiers. It's boring to place all those mines, it's annoying to run into them as the enemy, but it's effective. When the meta isn't fun for either side, something needs to change.
Downloaded this game a few hours ago. So far, I love it. It's been pretty fun so far. Can't believe the game people that made WarThunder made enlisted.
I think there can be a lot of balancing issues between the axis and allied teams and you can tell simply by playing not to mention balancing skilled players and newbies you can be a player who has most of the squads you need to get the game done while other players lack those squads cause they're just starting out, also many enemy tanks can just sit outside of zones you can't get to and have to rely on friendly tanks that will die 5 seconds into spawing or planes new players haven't unlocked yet
I quit the game when they nerfed the AA guns. The match started to be dominated by enemy planes and my team would barely be able to survive for a few mins

I've been playing Enlisted on-and-off for perhaps a year now. When I first started (and was a noob) I found it fun but difficult. As time has gone on I've learned the ropes and I am enjoying it. I feel like there has been some change to the matchmaking but not massively. After all, it works in Devs favour to have whales dominate noobs. The grind is hard but nowhere near as bad as War Thunder. The Season Pass pays for itself, and a Premium Account is worth it if you want to grind a particular faction. Atm the game is probably in its best place I've ever experienced. Even matches, I feel powerful enough to hold my own. Only rarely get wrecked by whales. It's good.
You describe your experiences well, when it comes to playing Enlisted for some time now! I hope they'll continue to make good updates and new content :)
I am on my 105 day of palying. I play on ps5 before ps4 and bought few premium things because of how interesting they are (on promotion tough)so lewis and big mag mg13, Marocan squad, M3 field modification and mp18. They aren't OP mg squads are good but small, Marocan are just fun and last 2 feel like fun but worse than normal squads in a way. Technicaly i heard there is a voice chat but nobody knows how to use it. Engineers are class that wins the game because of raly points. Enlisted from times to times makes events where you can get unique squads that can feel either OP or bad also event's can give you Unique weapons or swords. I believe last event with squad reward had insane British paratrooper squad with VGO aka 100 bullet magazine with high as hell fire rate and recoil so that's a fun squad. Enlisted recently became my main fps game so i would say i like it, what i find interesting is that teams with human players can be more brain dead than mostly bot lobbies

Dude ever since the latest update I keep losing badly cuz of the high level players. I'm still relatively new to the game, I've been playing since mid October of 2023. I did okay when the maps were only the Pacific ones but now they threw in the Europe ones in the fray and I'm losing pretty hard now so I'm just gonna take a break from the damn game lol. I could only lose so many times before it gets frustrating especially after giving it my all 😅😅

@@40splishsplash merge update will get rid of the campaign system. Instead of having the playerbase split across 6 campaigns, it will be lumped into a “tier” system with all maps included. So high level equipment will be matchmaking against other high level equipment. It’s a lot of info that I left out, but that’s the cliff notes version. You should really look at what is coming. Going to completely change the matchmaking system up. No more BOT campaigns, but more player vs player matches. Been playing since CBT. Have over 2500 games played and the game is great.
This game can be inherently fun and great but the main issue that it has which will hopefully be resolved with the merge update for the campaigns is just that the campaigns. Most focused on just one campaign which will feel like it’s lopsided which it is to an extent because they are either allies or axis. A good example of this is Normandy where the campaign is allied dominated for players, then you switch to Berlin it’s axis dominated. So it feels like it’s bad matchups but in reality it’s just more players focus one side and it just results in steam rolls with very little good back and forth
There is one thing I say about enlisted: If the enemies I fought had the same skill as my teammates? I would already be BR 5 in all nations and all of the trees in less than 4 days. I would EASILY pull 150-200 kill games even with just bolt action rifles.
@@Risen_Star No worries! I have as said similar experiences, I remember especially one match on the Tunisia map, where my team mates was beahing like AI:s, and I was more or less the only one pushing the objectives, sweating my a** off :D
I'd really like the see the Monte Cassino campaign added to this game at some point. The push for Rome is such an interesting, underrepresented part of World War Two; and there were so many different units from so many different countries involved. You had Poles, Brits, Americans, Canadians, New Zealanders, Aussies, Brazilians, French, Indians, South Africans, Italians, Germans, and many more! The fighting in this region often mirrored that of the First World War, with muddy conditions bogging down troop and vehicle movements, both sides setting up fortified lines of defense, and battles that could last for months at a time just to gain one single mountain - even a lot of the Italian landscape was adorned by poppy flowers after the ferocious artillery had raked it. You could make an entire game dedicated to it, honestly.

an fps shooter that is free and doesn't cost 60 money. also my windows 10 has at least 29 gb free space out of 118 but the game does not and can not run smoothly on it and trying to play a match will probably freeze my computer, is there anyway i can fix that??
The match making is more of an issue than the pay to win argument. You can certainly be dominant with those weapons, but they won’t win the battle alone.
@40splishsplash I really want to get into the game, but when I shoot a guy 3 times with a 30.06 rifle and he just domes me, it just kinda takes the fun out of it. I don't belive it's a problem on my end because I have really good internet so I'm hoping they fix it

@vermark8719 it's because sometimes players from different continents will sometimes come into your server browser and they have really high ping. I have complained about this no end of times but gaijin don't do anything to sort it. I'm Europe based and it always happens to me when Asian players are in the game. My best advice is next time it happens to you, block the player that's lagging and you'll never play with them again.
I've played this game for a while and it needs to reduce the grind and implement matchmaking. Slowing the game down too and actually take a stab at being realistic. It plays like it has ADHD. I've played War Thunder since 2013 and it was honestly hilarious seeing them get dragged over the coals with the steam review bomb for the grindfest they tried to implement. That should be a lesson to the people at enlisted too
My biggest issue is that Easy AntiCheat lags my whole computer after playing any game that uses it, including Enlisted. It doesn't freeze during gameplay, only after closing the game I have weird stutters just browsing/scrolling windows settings for example. I have to restart the PC to stop the lag/freezes
I m currently playing enlisted in the normandy campaign i whould not say its pay to win but in normandy you can get some minor advantages with the paratroopers because the can land anywhere you want on the map but its still a great game

And I also agree when it comes to having some minor advantages or disadvantages when playing certain maps, depending on if you're attacking or defending. I just started playing and have really noticed the imbalances in the teams. I’m always on a team with people around my level and going up against teams with multiple guys who have general ranks. Makes winning almost impossible and ruins what could be fun.
Yes, this has been an issue (matchmaking balance), for quite some time. It is supposed to become better now, something I talk about in my latest Enlisted video, due to the big merge update they did at the end of 2023.
The large scale deathmatch is by far the best feature considering all other games that are large scale deathmatches are not ftp. I wished it was more hyped than what it is currently. I also love the more realistic movement and gunplay of the game because unlike alot of fps shooters (mainly you cod/warzone) there is no slides or bunny hoping or run and gun making this game alot more fun cause there are not alot of sweaty players. Matchmaking system is needed to be implemented in this game to make it perfect, that is the only downside.

Nice to hear that! I just downloaded Enlisted again yesterday, and I like so far what they've done to the game recently. I believe the biggest change was in November last year.

this is the most believable ww2 fps game ive played yet. now the m1 garand was the primary weapon for the americans in ww2. although in normandy, in game, you start out with a bolt action (im sure you unlock it later) but thats just not how it went. it was thompsons, m1s, BARs and there were some snipers with springfields. this bothers me but its fine. one thing i hate about these free to play games is the insane amount of grinding you must do in order to get anything thats good. you dont even have a class with an lmg. ive gone into buildings and camped and have had a guy cone around the corner with an mg42 and spray me down on numerous occasions. how do i combat that? you camp.
Thanks for a good and interesting comment! You describe it well. I've also missed out on a class with a lmg when I started to play. That alongside with a pistol (secondary). I believe I still haven't unlocked a hand gun, lol.
The squad gamemode is a mix of players and AI. The Lone Fighters gamemode with real players only, was "abandoned" by the Devs since not enough people were playing it, if I remember it correctly, meaning no official servers anymore. However, I do believe I saw a few custom servers when it comes to Lone Fighters (players only), so it seems as if it is still possible thanks to a few players hosting.
Try Normandy or Moscow. If console switch to console only Normandy. Tons of players. Console players are the majority of the concurrent playerbase. You will meet pc players that like to say they are all braindead, but the good players are found in console only lobbies. I play both PS5 and PC and can 100% confirm this

It's a good lower-budget, slightly more realistic (especially for vehicles) alternative to Battlefield. But yeah, you shouldn't go in with a super-competitive mindset because it's the kind of game where you grind or pay to be on par with older players in terms of soldiers and weapons. Sounds like the upcoming BR system may reduce that gap. Also worth noting the paid Battle Pass currently pays for itself (in Gold) if you play through it, which is pretty generous.
I think it's nice that you're mentioning the mindset. This is a casual shooter foremost, so it does help with your overall experience of the game if you keep that in mind when paying Enlisted :) Thanks for mentioning the Battle Pass, seems like a good "deal".
In general, Enlisted is pretty goo in terms of P2W vs. F2P. My only major gripe is the paratrooper squads, which (as far as I know) aren't really something you can get as a F2P player.
I switched to Enlisted since Heroes & Generals closed its servers. I played till then only H&G. Enlisted does NOT need lots of player count due to it's squad type style. You are playing just one squad member as an real player and the other squad members are AI players. Once your squad member is dead you automatically switch to one of your alive squad members till the squad is all dead. Then one of your other squads enters as a whole squad the battle field and this process continuous. Like that per squad of lets say 5 members Enlisted need just 1 single real player. So they field like that 5 soldiers but need only 1 real player for the entire squad. Like that if there are 15 real players on each side each side fields then about 15 real players x 5 (4 AI + 1 real players) soldiers at the time for an total of 75 soldiers on each side. So instead of needing 75 real soldiers or players on each side they need only 15. That makes the battles allways populated full and you never know really which of the squad is now really the real human player. This is an awesome way to populate a game with just the minimum amount of real logged in players. Awesome way of handling the problem of unpopulated games which is increasingly an growing problem on new games. I only play Enlisted. I have 2 tower PC's on which Enlisted is installed. One has the Ryzen 5700G combined with the RX 6600 and 24 GB DDR4 single channel 3000 MT/s RAM and the other system, which is my first DIY build, has the Ryzen 5900X with the RX 6750 XT and 64 GB DDR4 dual channel 3200 MT/s RAM. Enlisted runs as well with the GT 1030 but then on Absolute Minimum settings at about 50 fps. Yes I tried it since I had the GT 1030 before I got the RX 6750 XT in the Ryzen 5900X system. With the RX 6600 I get: On High settings undervolted around 167 fps. With the RX 6750 XT I get: On High settings undervolted around 270 fps. Since my Monitor is 60 Hz and 1080p I sync the fps mostly to the monitor so I play at 60 fps. Keep in mind Enlisted uses between 5 and 7 GB of VRAM. It varies a lot. On Absolute Minimum it uses 3.5 GB of VRAM. So VRAM is ever more important on the GPU.

I understand why companies like Darkflow add paid extra's to their games, but unfortunately, it can be the difference between annoying and downright awful as a player on the receiving end. Enlisted is a fantastic game that I play at least several times per week for multiple hours and I think I am certainly well above average, often ending in the no.1 spot or at least top 4. I did pay about 35 euro's once for a bunch of in-game gold coins which allowed me to get the premium Battle Pass, that gives you additional grinding bonusses (for 90 days I believe) and some extra coins for a quicker upgrade here and there. But each campaign has quite a few 'premium squads' that can be bought for anywhere between 15-55 euro's and they can be extremely overpowered. There are quite a few players who play the game a LOT and then also have multiple premium squads and all their other squads maxed-out, meaning you won't be able to hurt them much unless you have at least maxed out your own army tree to about level 32-ish. Which can take weeks, minimum, more likely months. In Berlin for example, they are often on the Soviet side and they have maxed out IS-2 tanks that are near inpenetrable and one-shot everything. They have full-auto, fully upgraded weapons on every soldier, all perks for stamina, health and everything else. Kill them and be prepared to be smacked to kingdom come within 1 minute, when they have spawned yet another premium squad they paid 40 bucks for. Rinse and repeat. Thing is, Enlisted works with badges at the end of a game, which gives you XP bonuses. If your team wins, your XP increases by 50%, making losing a game very painful if you are grinding, because it takes a lot longer every time you lose. If you then face these multi-P2W playerbases which gives you little to no chance against, it's very frustrating. And if you complain, people are like "bruh, it's just a game". Yes, but I am grinding so winning or losing actually makes a difference. At least try. Spot vehicles, build rallies, play objectives. Work together. Now, these premium players usually come in waves, later in the week near the weekends and usually around dinner time and after. They are often Chinese, Russian or similar (look at their names in either Chinese or Cyrillic) and have the premium nametags. I try to avoid these stomping matches whenever I can, I much prefer to play against other 'freemium' players like myself. Still, one of the best tactical WW2 shooters out there.

Especially since I haven't bothered to spend any money in the game at all, but at the same being aware that there are ways to unlock things faster by doing so (paying), and also that some of them, like the premium squads, can become quite powerful. It does hurt the game quite some, since you then aren't on the same level or playground, if that makes sense. I guess this is where the debate comes in when it comes to if Enlisted if pay to win or not. But even so (as you say), I'm still having a good time, most of the times, that I'm joining in to play Enlisted.
@@40splishsplash You are welcome, and yeah, it makes sense and I think it's semi-P2W because paying does give you an edge, but not necessarily a game breaking one. Premium soldiers can still be one-shot by bolt action rifles for example. But it does give those players a much easier time fighting and winning when playing the objective. Lazy or uninterested players (who don't communicate and/or play the objective) are far worse and you get those in every game, especially shooters. There is a new matchmaker launched in one of the upcoming Enlisted updates, if it's not already there. It will match you with as much players with similar statistics as yourself. I'm not sure if the number of premium squads in your army has any influence on it, but it should.
@@adanroslan3525 Never sure, no, I can also get 100+ kills and I do so regularly. But you are right, these players sometimes are so incredibly accurate and fast, even with short range SMG's they instant-headshot people at ranges where my rifles barely hit. But I've also played (in other shooters) against people who simply have nothing in life besides that game and are so good at it, they are easily mistaken for cheaters. But these Chinese (and Russian/DPR/Luhansk) names do seem to be more than just 'too good at the game'.
I really enjoy it. As a fairly new player I dont have trouble getting kills with default weapons or anything. My main issue as a console player is that no matter what I have my settings as, the shooting feels pretty clunky. But its definitely worth adjusting your settings because you can at least make it feel a good bit better than the default. Due to the high damage the guns do it kind of evens it out though
@@MaximeChemaly you should be able to do that. I do believe you add a player as a friend through the "Contacts" menu, select them in the list and click "Invite to group" or click the "Add player" icon to create your squad. A squad can have up to 4 members. Hope that works for you.

Well, I think is game is quite balance in monetization . Paid players can boost up the progress faster to get more weapon, but it doesn't mean stronger weapon is broken. There is no hilarious boost like 200% HP or x1,5 damage or +30% ammo cap. You are paid player? You will get more (or exclusive) weapons, squads and level up faster. That's all.
yea this is pretty fair, most premium squads have guns that perform about the same as normal guns or even worse sometimes. the gold order weapons are either memey, basically the same - with exceptions in the kurz and condors i think

Enlisted without squad AI and only real players would be awesome! I love the weapon handling and maps... overall a pretty good underrated title for me, but the bots make the feeling pretty less.

Still play the game. i just avoid certain campaign factions due to huge imbalance of playeramount. Moskow, Normandy, sometimes berlin and Pacific are clear to go
5:05 NOTE; the game will struggle on mid grade PC and fail completely on lower end PC. this myth that you don't need a good setup to play is just flat out wrong. when everyone is shelling and flamethrowers are blazing, a PC without a dedicated graphics care is just going to tank. then you die, not just once but over and over and over again. not fun.

I agree. Unfortunately there was a time not to many years ago, when quite many publishers and studios did just that...Fortunately it is less common nowadays.
Only thing I hate about this game is how slow you progress. It's so cripplingly slow that it doesn't feel rewarding when you eventually do unlock new weapons and equipment and it is done on purpose to coerce you into spending money. It also always feels bad when your squad gets wiped out in close quarters because the other guy spent 30+ dollars on a squad with machine guns and you just have a bunch of rusty bolt actions from WW1. It gets better the more you play but it is such as absolute time sink to get any meaningful equipment. I tried to get my friend into it but he deleted the game because all the cool stuff was essentially locked out until you spend way too much money or precious hours of your life grinding so he went back to HLL and BFV. Instead of paying 30 bucks to buy a fully kitted out squad you can go buy hell let loose for the same price on steam which is ridiculous price gouging but these kind of sim games are very popular amongst whales who've probably got a nice retirement fund to splash on whatever game Gaijin puts out

And it therefore becomes annoying as you describe it, when meeting guys that has spent quite some money getting that machine gun squad. I wish that they would have made that part different, but that's how it is in the game. But it also means that some people will shy away and go back playing some other WW2 titles instead.
I enjoy the game a lot as well. Plane dogfights are very interesting, and tank combat is of course just as great because of gaijin's damage model. Grinding takes quite some time.

I think you might be referring to "Lone Squad? That was taken away, since not enough people were playing it. There is a big update around the corner (merge update), and hopefully that also allows more players in the game instead of AI players.
I love the game, play it almost all days. However it gets frustrating when Matchmaking puts me in a team full of bots and the enemy team has 2 Marshals a 4 generals. Just ruins the fun and experience

Great to hear, but what Enlisted needs most IMO are improvements to its graphics/special effects/animations. I think this Gaijin's player/Ai squad system is a much more sustainable model compared to a purely player based one, and if they would improve realism by bring the graphics/special effects/animations up to HLL levels, the game would be excellent.
@@nubtube7313 IMO graphics are quite literally the least important issue regarding Enlisted. It is no Battlefield 1 but the game still looks good and can even look great on the highest setting.
Much more important would be to implement gameplay changes like adding a suppression system. And even more important to immersion would be changing the voice lines that currently, without exception, sound like 13 year olds on a dicord server (seriously, as a German the German voice lines make me physically cringe).

Yes, that was or is still a problem. I encountered that "strategy" in a recent match, making it very hard to capture the objective.
Actually that is just a tactic enlisted encourages players to do. Pressing x on your keyboard tells your ai to wait where ever your looking at. If you want to he competitive I'm the game you gotta also do that tactic. I usually stick my squad behind me and just use the player controlled soldier to probe my way up the battlefield. Your asking to get squad mowed down by an mg if you don't do that.

I'm loving Enlisted. Haven't had as much fun with a game in over 10 years. It has such a great intensity and pace due to the squad system. All the matches feel like a real battle, the maps are linear, trench-attack-style rather than run&gun enemies that spawn behind you. It has the best vehicle integration of any game due to WT models. And it runs extremely well on low-end PCs. Just wish the community did a better job at creating hype for it, because it's pretty good.

I started playing it last month and i really like it. I think it has the best urban warfare feeling out of all ww2 games i've played. The feeling of slowly progressing building to building in Berlin or Stalingrad is priceless. The gunplay is very satisfying. Progress is really fun at first when you can quickly upgrade your units but it slows down after a while, similar to warthunder or world of tanks, the higher tier you are trying to unlock the more you have to grind. But overall its a very enjoyable experience in my opinion. I really reccomend checking it out.

For example in battlefield you gain a gun you like and stick to it and that is all, you just play with that and there is no actual progression, maybe skins but it doesnot feel like you progress in long term
Exactly takes growing a squat with slow reloading only 3 men with bolt actions to 8 men with 3 of ‘em assault weapons fast reloads and much more perks such a fun game for me I only play on my days off only game that keeps my interests

I'm a veteran enlisted player and I have to honestly say I really like it. I agree that there are issues that need to be fixed ASAP (matchmaking, progression system, etc.). That being said, I guess from my point of view it's a pay to fast game, not pay to win.
But I guess with the new update and the new merge, those will be problems of the past... I hope so.

For the most part, the things you can spend money on are just ways to progress faster; arguably some of the premium squads are a lot better than what you can unlock for free by playing, at least if you are still early level, but it's mostly just XP bonuses and skins. Where the game truly is pay-to-win is the squad slots: by default, all players can only bring 3 infantry squads and 1 vehicles squad into battle, premium players can purchase squad slots and bring up to 10 squads into battle, 7 infantry or 4 vehicle max. This means F2P players must deal with opportunity cost and aren't as versatile in battle while paying players always have the squad or vehicle they need to respond to any situation.
Thanks for sharing that info, I see some other comments pointing towards the same thing when it comes to p2w elements in Enlisted.
I would argue that the paywall content is actually like 10% -20% while the rest can be unlocked for free, you still have to play various campaigns and factions as each one of them get their respective progression system, but it will be changed later on this year with a similar progression tech system like War Thunder. As for the gameplay, i did enjoy playing the Axis Berlin campaign as they get powerful weapons, armor and planes like the FG42, MG34, Flammerwerfer 35 and Panther, Tiger II etc. I'm still at level 25 and i can't wait to unlock the MP43s and the assaulter squad and scoped StG 44 as sniper squad which are also very good. This game is fun to enjoy as long it doesn't make your second job to grind and unlock everything.
EDIT: with the merge update coming very soon, this comment may be considered outdated since the teching order of weapons, planes and armor wouldn't beordered by campaigns but by factions altogether.

I can say with certainty.. I just downloaded and started playing today.. on a whim.. I think I saw a video where it was recommended. And I'm hooked! And there was zero waiting .. unless I played all AI, which I don't think is a thing, it's good to go! What a fun game! And pretty realistic. Now.. I just need to learn how to play, albeit my 2nd match I got 3rd in kills and we won both rounds! So, so far so good I'd say! 😂

As an experienced entlisted player, the only "p2w" is when you buy extra slots, but 1 extra slot is enough for most scenario's. If you give a unexperienced player a stg44 he will perform somewhat better, but in the hand of an experienced player it is a deadly maschine. The thing is, an bolt action rifle is faster killing your opponent than an stg44 but you have less of an chance.its part of the training procces. Also there is a voice chat, but only if you play with friends and only with them. A team of 4 is possible there. Also matchmaking is random, for now, so

The matchmaking is absolutely broken. I was playing BR 1, Panzer IIs, getting matched against BR 3+, getting one shot by the tier 3 anti-tank rockets, which aren't even available to the lower BRs, or fighting flamethrower units (unlocked in mid BR 3) at BR 1. I don't know how they messed up matchmaking so badly. And the faction that I used to main, Italy, is completely gone now.
The matchmaking system is indeed something that needs improvement. But I got a feel when recording a new Enlisted video recently, after the merge update and a few other updates, that the matchmaking system has become slightly better, since it now tries to match people with similar gear/squads?
I haven’t played the game in a good minute, but been wanting to come back. What’s stopping me mostly the matchmaking. When I’m using the default Soviet tank I just get one shotted and I can’t do any damage to the others? Maybe that’s just me not understanding things, but the infantry gameplay is fun. Maybe just need to watch some guides. Also the UI and everything can be quite overwhelming.

I can see why new player will think the game is pay to win, the first thing one my friends said when I introduced him to the game was “wow, this game is really pay to win.” I have taken down entire 40 dollar premium squads with just a starter bolt action rifle plenty of times before. Me and my friends have never spent a penny on the game we consistently get top three on the leaderboard.

Remember the AI on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 and 2 on Veteran difficulty. I want those in Enlisted. Not every AI is a threat
True, there's definitely room for improvement, and the modern technology has come pretty far when it comes to a bit more "intuitive" AI in videogames. And AI on the highest settings (veteran) for example in Cod games can definitely make you sweat. But they can also have a mix of skill and playstyle (meaning the AI).
True. The AI is dogshit. You can put them on Anti air or anti tank turrets and they will never hit anything. You can set them along a hill for an ambush and they won’t see further than 50 ft in front of them. And they wont hit anything more than 20 ft

Just started playing for the first time.
In my one week games I have noticed:
- Squad mates are just targets the enemy can kill one by one giving you no time to react when you die and "move" to the next squad member. Also I think they are just making it pretty clear for the enemy to spot my hiding place.
- Machine guns are way to weak compared to rifles.
Targeting an enemy more than 10 meters away is just impossible to hit more than once, giving the opportunity to the target to shot you back with his rifle.
- Airplanes are terrible to fly with mouse and keyboard. They should have used war thunder's flying model that is way better.
- Spoting enemies at the ground is way too difficult while flying if no one marks targets on the ground to help you.
- earning ingame money to buy better weapons is TOO slow. At least for a new player.
- Some players can kill me while I am hiding behind a wall near a window or door for some reason.
- watching a replay I noticed an enemy passing by my character and while I started to turn and try to hit him with my bayonet he just faced back to me, without even turning normally, one second facing away the next second facing my back and killed my character...
- I've seen enemy players one shot me from 100+ meters away with a rifle (not snipers) while my character is barely uncovered. How the heck can they see me?
- tutorials are barely covering the game mechanics. Most things I have learned just by playing or watching videos.
Overall it's a fun game with no big waiting times to get in the action.
I wish there was no time limits in the battles or maybe double the time.

As a ex pro player when they where some tournaments, idk anymore, i play "casual" the p2w shit its the excuse for the noobs, the dudes who started and have no experience on how the weapons works, you can play with you the start weapons and you still are a beast, since the releasing they buffed majorly the bolt actions, i had a friend that hates the autos in the game and only plays with the stock bolt action, and he has some times that beats me on the table. The ideea is p2w in enlisted is a dream, the grind is what the ppl talk about, for an example i barely have full campaign on Stalingrad on both sides, and i have 300 hours so yeah. Hopefully helped you the answer from a pro perspective

Didn't know that there was some tournaments in Enlisted, but nice to hear that :) Yeah, I also do well in this game just playing with what I got from from the start in Enlisted, just by playing the game. Due to my experience when it comes to playing and also "reviewing" some free to play shooters, there's very often different opinions regarding these games monetization systems. Some are obviously more pay to win than others. However, I also believe that a percentage of people sometimes make a comment that a game is p2w since they aren't doing well in the game, and it might therefore feel better to blame it on something else than their individual lack of skill and experience :)
the only thing id say was p2w was the kurz, which you pretty much had to grind the entire bp or pay for to get... which has now been removed; oh yea and the fuckin as 44 squad... which performs marginally better than the mkb and fedorov

I’ve played Enlisted since it’s release and I can say that this game is addictive, same as war thunder in that it is very Grindy and if want to stay free to play like me, you must rush to get assaulters, assaulters will rack up your kill count tremendously with SMGs and such, the game CAN be pay to win, but a lot of people who play the game are either professional moms basement dwellers who spend their life savings on this game, casual free to play za za enjoying gamers, or little kids who got a hold of moms credit card who have more premiums than IQ count.

What I find interesting is Germany gets screwed over by a map composition all the time, almost every map. They have some of the most broken gear but can't use most of it due to choke points almost deliberately going against their favor. You cannot set up a good set of defensive guns because of it, I recently bought the German heavy gunner pack and no matter what I do I can't find a good place to set up my guns. Either the enemy is already rushed there or the capture point randomly spawns on the other side of where it usually is. Making that defensive position you just set up useless.
You are indeed pointing out an old problem within Enlisted. Meaning that some maps, favours certain factions/countries. Or at least a having a disadvantage of for example being the attacking team. Or the opposite around sometimes, for that sake. I hope that the new update (New Era) when it comes to the matchmaking system, has made it possible for better balance between teams and players. That can't affect the map design or balance between countries, of course, but hopefully more balanced battles overall. I'm talking about it in another Enlisted video I just posted on my channel :)
The concept of you controlling a squad instead of a single soldier is really smart game design. It allows weapons like bolt action rifles to insta kill, as they realistically should, without feeling frustrating to fight against. If you get instakilled with a rifle, just duck into cover with the rest of your squad. It's also really fun to mow down so many soldiers each round. Even the worst players will have at least 20 kills at the end of the match.
My issue with enlisted is how much paying real world money changes the game. It gets you better loadouts and frustratingly - lots of mines. You pay money and give each soldier in your squad a land mine - you go into an objective and spend several minutes placing down like 9 land mines with each of your soldiers. It's boring to place all those mines, it's annoying to run into them as the enemy, but it's effective. When the meta isn't fun for either side, something needs to change.

I think there can be a lot of balancing issues between the axis and allied teams and you can tell simply by playing not to mention balancing skilled players and newbies you can be a player who has most of the squads you need to get the game done while other players lack those squads cause they're just starting out, also many enemy tanks can just sit outside of zones you can't get to and have to rely on friendly tanks that will die 5 seconds into spawing or planes new players haven't unlocked yet

I've been playing Enlisted on-and-off for perhaps a year now. When I first started (and was a noob) I found it fun but difficult. As time has gone on I've learned the ropes and I am enjoying it. I feel like there has been some change to the matchmaking but not massively. After all, it works in Devs favour to have whales dominate noobs. The grind is hard but nowhere near as bad as War Thunder. The Season Pass pays for itself, and a Premium Account is worth it if you want to grind a particular faction. Atm the game is probably in its best place I've ever experienced. Even matches, I feel powerful enough to hold my own. Only rarely get wrecked by whales. It's good.
You describe your experiences well, when it comes to playing Enlisted for some time now! I hope they'll continue to make good updates and new content :)
I am on my 105 day of palying. I play on ps5 before ps4 and bought few premium things because of how interesting they are (on promotion tough)so lewis and big mag mg13, Marocan squad, M3 field modification and mp18. They aren't OP mg squads are good but small, Marocan are just fun and last 2 feel like fun but worse than normal squads in a way.
Technicaly i heard there is a voice chat but nobody knows how to use it.
Engineers are class that wins the game because of raly points.
Enlisted from times to times makes events where you can get unique squads that can feel either OP or bad also event's can give you Unique weapons or swords. I believe last event with squad reward had insane British paratrooper squad with VGO aka 100 bullet magazine with high as hell fire rate and recoil so that's a fun squad.
Enlisted recently became my main fps game so i would say i like it, what i find interesting is that teams with human players can be more brain dead than mostly bot lobbies

Dude ever since the latest update I keep losing badly cuz of the high level players. I'm still relatively new to the game, I've been playing since mid October of 2023. I did okay when the maps were only the Pacific ones but now they threw in the Europe ones in the fray and I'm losing pretty hard now so I'm just gonna take a break from the damn game lol. I could only lose so many times before it gets frustrating especially after giving it my all 😅😅

@@40splishsplash merge update will get rid of the campaign system. Instead of having the playerbase split across 6 campaigns, it will be lumped into a “tier” system with all maps included. So high level equipment will be matchmaking against other high level equipment. It’s a lot of info that I left out, but that’s the cliff notes version. You should really look at what is coming. Going to completely change the matchmaking system up. No more BOT campaigns, but more player vs player matches.

This game can be inherently fun and great but the main issue that it has which will hopefully be resolved with the merge update for the campaigns is just that the campaigns. Most focused on just one campaign which will feel like it’s lopsided which it is to an extent because they are either allies or axis. A good example of this is Normandy where the campaign is allied dominated for players, then you switch to Berlin it’s axis dominated. So it feels like it’s bad matchups but in reality it’s just more players focus one side and it just results in steam rolls with very little good back and forth
Good sayings, and hopefully this will be addressed when the merge update comes into place. I really hope so :)
There is one thing I say about enlisted: If the enemies I fought had the same skill as my teammates? I would already be BR 5 in all nations and all of the trees in less than 4 days. I would EASILY pull 150-200 kill games even with just bolt action rifles.

I'd really like the see the Monte Cassino campaign added to this game at some point. The push for Rome is such an interesting, underrepresented part of World War Two; and there were so many different units from so many different countries involved. You had Poles, Brits, Americans, Canadians, New Zealanders, Aussies, Brazilians, French, Indians, South Africans, Italians, Germans, and many more! The fighting in this region often mirrored that of the First World War, with muddy conditions bogging down troop and vehicle movements, both sides setting up fortified lines of defense, and battles that could last for months at a time just to gain one single mountain - even a lot of the Italian landscape was adorned by poppy flowers after the ferocious artillery had raked it.
You could make an entire game dedicated to it, honestly.

The match making is more of an issue than the pay to win argument. You can certainly be dominant with those weapons, but they won’t win the battle alone.

@vermark8719 it's because sometimes players from different continents will sometimes come into your server browser and they have really high ping. I have complained about this no end of times but gaijin don't do anything to sort it. I'm Europe based and it always happens to me when Asian players are in the game. My best advice is next time it happens to you, block the player that's lagging and you'll never play with them again.
I wish the bots could learn from your own movements, and replicate your play style, giving them more utility

I've played this game for a while and it needs to reduce the grind and implement matchmaking. Slowing the game down too and actually take a stab at being realistic. It plays like it has ADHD.
I've played War Thunder since 2013 and it was honestly hilarious seeing them get dragged over the coals with the steam review bomb for the grindfest they tried to implement. That should be a lesson to the people at enlisted too

My biggest issue is that Easy AntiCheat lags my whole computer after playing any game that uses it, including Enlisted. It doesn't freeze during gameplay, only after closing the game I have weird stutters just browsing/scrolling windows settings for example. I have to restart the PC to stop the lag/freezes

I m currently playing enlisted in the normandy campaign i whould not say its pay to win but in normandy you can get some minor advantages with the paratroopers because the can land anywhere you want on the map but its still a great game

I just started playing and have really noticed the imbalances in the teams. I’m always on a team with people around my level and going up against teams with multiple guys who have general ranks. Makes winning almost impossible and ruins what could be fun.
Yes, this has been an issue (matchmaking balance), for quite some time. It is supposed to become better now, something I talk about in my latest Enlisted video, due to the big merge update they did at the end of 2023.
The large scale deathmatch is by far the best feature considering all other games that are large scale deathmatches are not ftp. I wished it was more hyped than what it is currently. I also love the more realistic movement and gunplay of the game because unlike alot of fps shooters (mainly you cod/warzone) there is no slides or bunny hoping or run and gun making this game alot more fun cause there are not alot of sweaty players. Matchmaking system is needed to be implemented in this game to make it perfect, that is the only downside.

this is the most believable ww2 fps game ive played yet. now the m1 garand was the primary weapon for the americans in ww2. although in normandy, in game, you start out with a bolt action (im sure you unlock it later) but thats just not how it went. it was thompsons, m1s, BARs and there were some snipers with springfields. this bothers me but its fine.
one thing i hate about these free to play games is the insane amount of grinding you must do in order to get anything thats good. you dont even have a class with an lmg. ive gone into buildings and camped and have had a guy cone around the corner with an mg42 and spray me down on numerous occasions. how do i combat that? you camp.

Is this game still locked to squad only mode? and filled with mostly bots? I played a bit on launch, but got boring fighting mostly bots
The squad gamemode is a mix of players and AI. The Lone Fighters gamemode with real players only, was "abandoned" by the Devs since not enough people were playing it, if I remember it correctly, meaning no official servers anymore. However, I do believe I saw a few custom servers when it comes to Lone Fighters (players only), so it seems as if it is still possible thanks to a few players hosting.

Try Normandy or Moscow. If console switch to console only Normandy. Tons of players. Console players are the majority of the concurrent playerbase. You will meet pc players that like to say they are all braindead, but the good players are found in console only lobbies. I play both PS5 and PC and can 100% confirm this

It's a good lower-budget, slightly more realistic (especially for vehicles) alternative to Battlefield. But yeah, you shouldn't go in with a super-competitive mindset because it's the kind of game where you grind or pay to be on par with older players in terms of soldiers and weapons. Sounds like the upcoming BR system may reduce that gap. Also worth noting the paid Battle Pass currently pays for itself (in Gold) if you play through it, which is pretty generous.
I think it's nice that you're mentioning the mindset. This is a casual shooter foremost, so it does help with your overall experience of the game if you keep that in mind when paying Enlisted :) Thanks for mentioning the Battle Pass, seems like a good "deal".
In general, Enlisted is pretty goo in terms of P2W vs. F2P. My only major gripe is the paratrooper squads, which (as far as I know) aren't really something you can get as a F2P player.

I switched to Enlisted since Heroes & Generals closed its servers. I played till then only H&G.
Enlisted does NOT need lots of player count due to it's squad type style. You are playing just one squad member as an real player and the other squad members are AI players. Once your squad member is dead you automatically switch to one of your alive squad members till the squad is all dead. Then one of your other squads enters as a whole squad the battle field and this process continuous. Like that per squad of lets say 5 members Enlisted need just 1 single real player. So they field like that 5 soldiers but need only 1 real player for the entire squad. Like that if there are 15 real players on each side each side fields then about 15 real players x 5 (4 AI + 1 real players) soldiers at the time for an total of 75 soldiers on each side. So instead of needing 75 real soldiers or players on each side they need only 15. That makes the battles allways populated full and you never know really which of the squad is now really the real human player. This is an awesome way to populate a game with just the minimum amount of real logged in players. Awesome way of handling the problem of unpopulated games which is increasingly an growing problem on new games.
I only play Enlisted.
I have 2 tower PC's on which Enlisted is installed. One has the Ryzen 5700G combined with the RX 6600 and 24 GB DDR4 single channel 3000 MT/s RAM and the other system, which is my first DIY build, has the Ryzen 5900X with the RX 6750 XT and 64 GB DDR4 dual channel 3200 MT/s RAM.
Enlisted runs as well with the GT 1030 but then on Absolute Minimum settings at about 50 fps. Yes I tried it since I had the GT 1030 before I got the RX 6750 XT in the Ryzen 5900X system.
With the RX 6600 I get: On High settings undervolted around 167 fps.
With the RX 6750 XT I get: On High settings undervolted around 270 fps.
Since my Monitor is 60 Hz and 1080p I sync the fps mostly to the monitor so I play at 60 fps.
Keep in mind Enlisted uses between 5 and 7 GB of VRAM. It varies a lot.
On Absolute Minimum it uses 3.5 GB of VRAM. So VRAM is ever more important on the GPU.

Once I got to 10 days of total playtime I completed the American side of Normandy and had a 60% win rate without spending a cent in the game.

I understand why companies like Darkflow add paid extra's to their games, but unfortunately, it can be the difference between annoying and downright awful as a player on the receiving end. Enlisted is a fantastic game that I play at least several times per week for multiple hours and I think I am certainly well above average, often ending in the no.1 spot or at least top 4. I did pay about 35 euro's once for a bunch of in-game gold coins which allowed me to get the premium Battle Pass, that gives you additional grinding bonusses (for 90 days I believe) and some extra coins for a quicker upgrade here and there. But each campaign has quite a few 'premium squads' that can be bought for anywhere between 15-55 euro's and they can be extremely overpowered. There are quite a few players who play the game a LOT and then also have multiple premium squads and all their other squads maxed-out, meaning you won't be able to hurt them much unless you have at least maxed out your own army tree to about level 32-ish. Which can take weeks, minimum, more likely months. In Berlin for example, they are often on the Soviet side and they have maxed out IS-2 tanks that are near inpenetrable and one-shot everything. They have full-auto, fully upgraded weapons on every soldier, all perks for stamina, health and everything else. Kill them and be prepared to be smacked to kingdom come within 1 minute, when they have spawned yet another premium squad they paid 40 bucks for. Rinse and repeat.
Thing is, Enlisted works with badges at the end of a game, which gives you XP bonuses. If your team wins, your XP increases by 50%, making losing a game very painful if you are grinding, because it takes a lot longer every time you lose. If you then face these multi-P2W playerbases which gives you little to no chance against, it's very frustrating. And if you complain, people are like "bruh, it's just a game". Yes, but I am grinding so winning or losing actually makes a difference. At least try. Spot vehicles, build rallies, play objectives. Work together.
Now, these premium players usually come in waves, later in the week near the weekends and usually around dinner time and after. They are often Chinese, Russian or similar (look at their names in either Chinese or Cyrillic) and have the premium nametags. I try to avoid these stomping matches whenever I can, I much prefer to play against other 'freemium' players like myself.
Still, one of the best tactical WW2 shooters out there.

Especially since I haven't bothered to spend any money in the game at all, but at the same being aware that there are ways to unlock things faster by doing so (paying), and also that some of them, like the premium squads, can become quite powerful. It does hurt the game quite some, since you then aren't on the same level or playground, if that makes sense. I guess this is where the debate comes in when it comes to if Enlisted if pay to win or not. But even so (as you say), I'm still having a good time, most of the times, that I'm joining in to play Enlisted.
@@40splishsplash You are welcome, and yeah, it makes sense and I think it's semi-P2W because paying does give you an edge, but not necessarily a game breaking one. Premium soldiers can still be one-shot by bolt action rifles for example. But it does give those players a much easier time fighting and winning when playing the objective.
Lazy or uninterested players (who don't communicate and/or play the objective) are far worse and you get those in every game, especially shooters.
There is a new matchmaker launched in one of the upcoming Enlisted updates, if it's not already there. It will match you with as much players with similar statistics as yourself. I'm not sure if the number of premium squads in your army has any influence on it, but it should.
You sure these chinese players don't cheat? Cus sometimes their aiming are always on point.. 100+ kills everytime on leaderboards
@@adanroslan3525 Never sure, no, I can also get 100+ kills and I do so regularly. But you are right, these players sometimes are so incredibly accurate and fast, even with short range SMG's they instant-headshot people at ranges where my rifles barely hit.
But I've also played (in other shooters) against people who simply have nothing in life besides that game and are so good at it, they are easily mistaken for cheaters. But these Chinese (and Russian/DPR/Luhansk) names do seem to be more than just 'too good at the game'.

I really enjoy it. As a fairly new player I dont have trouble getting kills with default weapons or anything. My main issue as a console player is that no matter what I have my settings as, the shooting feels pretty clunky. But its definitely worth adjusting your settings because you can at least make it feel a good bit better than the default. Due to the high damage the guns do it kind of evens it out though

@@MaximeChemaly you should be able to do that. I do believe you add a player as a friend through the "Contacts" menu, select them in the list and click "Invite to group" or click the "Add player" icon to create your squad. A squad can have up to 4 members. Hope that works for you.

@@MaximeChemaly That I don't know, since I only play on PC. My best advice is just to download the game and give it a try. I made a new video recently about Enlisted since the game has gotten quite some updates, also trying to improve balance within the matchmaking system. So hopefully things a re for the better :)

Well, I think is game is quite balance in monetization . Paid players can boost up the progress faster to get more weapon, but it doesn't mean stronger weapon is broken. There is no hilarious boost like 200% HP or x1,5 damage or +30% ammo cap. You are paid player? You will get more (or exclusive) weapons, squads and level up faster. That's all.
yea this is pretty fair, most premium squads have guns that perform about the same as normal guns or even worse sometimes. the gold order weapons are either memey, basically the same - with exceptions in the kurz and condors i think

Nice to hear that! Yes, it is possible to do well without spending money in the game. Same for me, never paid for anything. That doesn't mean that you won't be able to get an advantage if you do pay, but I believe it's important to say that it is possible to enjoy Enlisted without "paying for the progress" in the game :)
Enlisted without squad AI and only real players would be awesome! I love the weapon handling and maps... overall a pretty good underrated title for me, but the bots make the feeling pretty less.
Yes, I hope they're able to make that happen, meaning real player squads :D

Still play the game. i just avoid certain campaign factions due to huge imbalance of playeramount. Moskow, Normandy, sometimes berlin and Pacific are clear to go

5:05 NOTE; the game will struggle on mid grade PC and fail completely on lower end PC. this myth that you don't need a good setup to play is just flat out wrong. when everyone is shelling and flamethrowers are blazing, a PC without a dedicated graphics care is just going to tank. then you die, not just once but over and over and over again. not fun.
Thanks for your comment! Yes, the game is a bot more demanding than people might think. I nowadays have a mid grade PC (need to upgrade), but I do need to make a few tweaks to make the game run properly. I can see the difficulties if you actually are trying to play it on a low end pc.

My very first match in enlisted i got 149 kills and 125 assists. After that the game decided that was too much

I agree. Unfortunately there was a time not to many years ago, when quite many publishers and studios did just that...Fortunately it is less common nowadays.
The new "merge" was a disaster move, after 1.5 yrs of playing i uninstalled.
Sorry to hear that. I'm awaiting a bit what will happen with the game in the start of 2024.
Only thing I hate about this game is how slow you progress. It's so cripplingly slow that it doesn't feel rewarding when you eventually do unlock new weapons and equipment and it is done on purpose to coerce you into spending money.
It also always feels bad when your squad gets wiped out in close quarters because the other guy spent 30+ dollars on a squad with machine guns and you just have a bunch of rusty bolt actions from WW1. It gets better the more you play but it is such as absolute time sink to get any meaningful equipment.
I tried to get my friend into it but he deleted the game because all the cool stuff was essentially locked out until you spend way too much money or precious hours of your life grinding so he went back to HLL and BFV. Instead of paying 30 bucks to buy a fully kitted out squad you can go buy hell let loose for the same price on steam which is ridiculous price gouging but these kind of sim games are very popular amongst whales who've probably got a nice retirement fund to splash on whatever game Gaijin puts out
Thanks for your comment and your experiences when it comes to Enlisted. Yes, I also believe that the progress when only playing in order to unlock stuff, is to slow. And it therefore becomes annoying as you describe it, when meeting guys that has spent quite some money getting that machine gun squad. I wish that they would have made that part different, but that's how it is in the game. But it also means that some people will shy away and go back playing some other WW2 titles instead.

I enjoy the game a lot as well. Plane dogfights are very interesting, and tank combat is of course just as great because of gaijin's damage model. Grinding takes quite some time.

I think you might be referring to "Lone Squad? That was taken away, since not enough people were playing it. There is a big update around the corner (merge update), and hopefully that also allows more players in the game instead of AI players.
I love the game, play it almost all days. However it gets frustrating when Matchmaking puts me in a team full of bots and the enemy team has 2 Marshals a 4 generals. Just ruins the fun and experience
