    Why didn't you include R² when dividing the total masses on the second question method one?

    Hi, Thanks for the lesson! I have question, can I try the approach of F = mxa and all the acting forces are mg - Inertia of the pulley. So, mxg - Mr^2/2 = mxa, then solve for acceleration of the system and finally the angular acceleration?
    Thank you

    • @hwnd.5801
      @hwnd.5801 2 месяца назад

      He's dividing by total mass. CM*R² is the formula for the intertia. CM is the total mass of the pulley. The purpose of the constant C is to differentiate between the mass of a solid disk, hoop, or sphere pulley system (1/2 for disk, 1 for hoop, 2/5 for sphere).

    In the video at around 13:45, tension is expressed as T1 and T2.... but we had described tension in earlier dynamics problems as being the same in magnitude everywhere along a rope.... is that still true here? Im assuming yes, and then we are just assuming equal in magnitude and opposite in direction? Thank you for clarifying!

    • @jasonzechengpan4491
      @jasonzechengpan4491 11 месяцев назад +1

      because before we assume that the pulley is ideal which means it's massless and frictionless. In this case, the pulley has mass, so we cannot assume tension is the same throughout the rope

    • @niko_hand589
      @niko_hand589 Месяц назад

      The rope is connected to the pulley, so the force is the same on each side of the pulley, but not on one side compared to the other.

    Why does it happen to be CM in the second math while we were adding all the masses . Because we know what is mass for linear, is the moment of inertia for angular. Shouldn't it be 1/2MR²?

    Isn't this system one that's more dynamic? if the wheel has a radius of 2m, has an angular acceleration of 2.45 rad/s^2 and the string with tension is affixed to the rightmost point on the circle, then after that point rotates about 3.14 meters around the circumference (after about 2.5 seconds), wouldn't it be at the bottom? How would we be sure that the block would have that speed after 8 seconds if it could be traveling upwards against the force of gravity? Or is the string disconnected from the wheel immediately after pulling it down?

  • @KentBangoy

    Stock can drop from top to bottom and still be a 60 bagger. All this in 10y. investing is a very long journey where our temperament gets tested. have to have the capacity to suffer for long periods. have lived through the examples above, naming the stock today is pointless.
