      You can never be too sure. I would make sure to multiply both sides by 3 after getting 600 just to make sure I get 1800=1800.

    Shouldn't the answer to the problem at 12:54 be 1965.8 Nm? F3= (500cos(50))(5m) because we need the adjacent component to the angle theta. If I'm wrong can someone explain why we can use sin?

    Wow, in our lesson, our prof just used r for the moment arm then multiply it by sine theta. This vid makes it so much easier by making the moment arm (r) equal to the length from the axis of rotation multiplied by sine theta.

    4:01 The angle between two vectors is the one when the two vectors are meeting tail to tail and its direction is counterclockwise; in such scenario the angle has to be (180-theta) which in fact is equal to sin theta.

    You answer should be 1965 N.m for the net torque of the second problem you did. You did not consider the angle when you calculated the torque for F3. If you break up the forces for Force 3 you would see that it's cosine instead of sine theta
