I love the tip about watching other matches. In my current save several of my players got to an international cup final with Ghana so I watched the match and was rewarded with the sight of my star striker scoring the winner. It had literally nothing to do with the gameplay but it greatly added to my enjoyment.
4-2-3 with a striker and 2 defensive wingers work for me usually, tend to score 1 more if u have a good physical forward and keeps most defensive structure
Much higher line, mid block, keep the backline as is except for WB/FB. Put those on defend. Make all dentral defenders into no nonsense CD. Pull wingers back and put them on support. Have your striker mark the opponent's DM if there is one, of not, the central defender who's better on the ball. Midfield only CM and DM on support, no other roles. Go easy on the press. Passing as direct and as fast as you can, mentality on cautious. You're gonna score 8 against Man City.
Great resource. One of my tips for preseason is to cycle the squad as such, 1st team 45, second team 45, then alternate the squads and then up their duration in a match. I feel it ramps up to near total sharpness by the time you get to the first preseason with 6 games. My youth team tip is twofold. 1. if you have the funding and facilities, sign good south american youth coaches in the fitness, technical and defending categories, they are very skilled and generally affordable. 2. get the training report on your youth teams, and praise the best performer only, but more importantly critisize the poor performers so you can get a feel early for their professionalism and let that dictate contract decisions.
I checked my RUclips recap yesterday and it said I’m in your top 3% of watchers. Think I deserve a reward for that 💅 But seriously, keep at it man. Your work is absolutely outstanding and a breath of fresh air!
4:13 I believe that if you delegate both youth/2nd team training, in the Youth Dev tab, you can change their tactics to the preferred tactics of their respective manager. Then, you can take control again, but the tactics stay to the preferred of their respective manager.
“And if you’re a real degenerate…” 😂 Depending on my manager nationality, I’ll attend the international youth team matches. The game picks up on your interest in those players as well.
You can make a video about personality on FM, I have some problems with that. Especially in terms of orietation and team dynamics. I have some doubts about how some personalities affect player attributes, reducing or increasing them.
Fun fact: I'm from Brazil and we don't have a pre-season, but (in some states) the regional league looks like a pre-season. Also, in the Northwest we have the "Northwest Cup", a championship that divides 16 teams into 2 groups that play another cup. The Brazilian calendar is wild. For example, if you go to the Libertadores pre-qualification, you are likely to play 3 days in a row.
I've gotten this comparison a couple of times and I can honestly say there'd be no one I'd rather be compared to then the best teacher himself. There are no mistakes, only happy accidents!
I assume this probably doesn't happen but I would love it if you gained knowledge on a players attributes if you watched their match. A sort of reward for next level immersion geekery... 😂

that's so cool!!! Sometimes you'll get a little inbox notification about your attendance too. But yea, it's such a fun way to get immersed in the save
One thing I really appreciate about your videos, you approach the game from the perspective of immersion and not just "game breaking tactics and tips"
thanks :) I've always loved the more immersive approach. It isn't the most effective in terms of wins but makes it really enjoyable
every time i hear "Hello everybody and welcome" i have to click this like button so hard i almost need a new mouse. Keep up the amazing work.
You guys watch on PC? 😅
if you didn't break your mouse smashing that like button, did you even watch me video???
been loving these videos! would greatly appreciate advice on sorting, shortlists and transfers too
thanks :) I hope to do a video on transfers/scouting/etc...
I would like a video on how to adjust tactic when you get a red card inside 5 mins in top of table clash 😢
May i introduce you, 5-4-0 narrow cautious formation. Just sub in your best physical player and pray

dang this is a great response... why didn't I mention how much to play them??? either way, this is good stuff

🎉 the greatest reward I can give is a "thank you" for the support!!!
Some great information in here, thanks!
no problem :)
You are the best
thank you :)
That is exactly how I set up my friendly schedule!
great minds think alike!

watching international youth team matches... welcome to the Degenerate Club haha
Been playing for years and didn't about that last bit with the dash on the youth team fixtures.
you even get a news article talking about your presence at the match too
5:45 finally some good advice, cheers.
np!
could you make a video showing us how you setup your fm skin as i think it looks great and was wandering how to make it like that
thanks :) I may do something on skins as a tag in an upcoming video; thanks for the suggestion!
@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker no problem

thank you for the comment :) and you are right, I should do something on personalities, thanks for the suggestion!
I did a save a while back with a team in Brazil and the schedule is wild!
A personal favourite of mine is when you attend a game and the inbox item says "no idea why they attended"
I always picture mass hysterics because I showed up to a random match
I just realised who you are. You are the Bob Ross of football manager
I've gotten this comparison a couple of times and I can honestly say there'd be no one I'd rather be compared to then the best teacher himself. There are no mistakes, only happy accidents!
@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker I think it's the hair, the voice, the general demeanor. Well done
For me, preseason = friendlies galore :)))
just more chances to throw water bottles at them
Can you make a video about how to turntables when in a bad run streak?
well I hope I don't have one of those with Montpellier haha but yea I'll see if I can do something with that!
❤❤❤
thank you my friend :)
Oof. I need a poacher in my RL schedule, so he can create some space, so I can attend those Youth Matches for some scouting
I wonder if you get banned from a match from the FA, if you could then go see a youth match??
My save is in Brazil, I don't have preseason
I did a save once in Brazil and the schedule is WILD
I assume this probably doesn't happen but I would love it if you gained knowledge on a players attributes if you watched their match. A sort of reward for next level immersion geekery... 😂
now THAT would be really cool. if you find out one of their secret attributes
I always watch the Champions League final and world cup final, cause I am a real degenerate
welcome to the Degenerate Club. we have nametags and appetizers
