The storm was NOT a surprise! It has LITERALLY been on the news for at LEAST a week AND hit other countries along the way So WHOEVER you are dont passify people by making shit up!! Dont tell us to give thanks to someone who had MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME TO PREPARE AND SAID THEY WERE PREPARED YESTERDAY BEFORE IT HIT That's the problem yall dont have enough backbone to hold these people accountable

A positive note: Thank God we didn't have to go through this with the last mayor. The power would have not been turned on until a family member was awarded the contract.

For the 50 years I’ve lived in Houston, every time theirs a major storm the city acts like it’s the first storm to ever hit us.
When your whole city is located in a humongous bayou, you kind of have to treat every hurricane like it's completely new and different from the last.
