I am a mother. My son are adult men now. Every time I got out of the car when I was raising them, one is 36, the other one 29. I never left them in the car. They always had to come out of the car with me if I were by myself. There was no question about that. what the hell is wrong with parents. Or people for leaving children, and pets in the car. If you don’t wanna take them in with you, don’t take them with you. It’s that simple.
I’m just totally baffled as to how can you leave your child in the car or anywhere period. This is just stupid to me. I would get my child out soon as I remove my seat belt. I’m constantly looking in the backseat to make sure my now Grandbaby is still buckled in her car seat. I talk to her while I’m driving to let her know I’m attentive to her. Breaks my heart . The Poor 4 year old baby suffered.
I’m not buying any story of “I forgot” We can keep saying how awful this is, but talking about it changes nothing. This bs will keep happening until the lame laws change.

i went to school with a guy that lives in sugarland who left his kid in a car while attending a conference or something back in 2012 and tragically the baby died....it's happening way too much. i personally don't know if i could live with it if it happened to me even though i don't have kids.
What a horrible and senseless way for this young child to lose her life. Parents have to be more careful dealing with small children in their care so deaths like these don't continue to happen. Condolences to the family. May she RIP ! 🙏🌹

Make no mistake this was not an accident this was complete incompetence of the parents and murder if I've ever seen it I have three kids ages 8 4 and 3 I can assure you without a doubt there is no absolute way I would ever forget my 4-year-old no matter what situation I would not forget that they are in the car while I am shopping

four is a little old To not be able to let itself out too. This is bizarre, the parents didn’t notice and the child wasn’t knowledgeable about how to exit the vehicle? I know they have child locks but it shouldn’t include the drivers seat .These parents need to go to jail. So easily preventable. Even educating the child on how to get out of the child seat and the car if that happens, unless the kid was special needs they should be old enough to exit the vehicle on their own in an emergency.
