My favorite 'cheat code' for college: Schedule ALL your classes for Tuesdays and Thursdays. The only 'catch' is to pay close attention to *where* the classes are being held - lock down the must-have courses (usually related to your major) first, then it's fairly easy to find gen-ed courses to 'connect' the others. (If you're lucky, you can sometimes get ALL your courses in the same building.) This is fairly easy to do with a 12/13 hr course load, and doable with a 15-18 hr course load - 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM for lectures, with evening labs on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. This pays off multiple ways: 1 ) This leaves Wednesdays completely clear as homework/study days. This works particularly well as most TR courses have all tests/quizzes on Thursdays: ~ The Tuesday lectures are still fresh in your mind when doing your homework on Wednesdays ~ Your Wednesday homework is still fresh in your mind when taking tests/quizzes on Thursdays 2 ) If you live a ways from campus, this also means you're only commuting two days per week (saving money on transportation, particularly vs classes spread over five days). This is doubly effective as living either on or near the campus tends to be expensive - you can save a bundle just by living a bit further away from the campus. 3 ) If you decide to work while in college, you have Friday through Monday completely clear - the four days most entry-level employers have the highest demand for. Depending on the type of job, some employers even pay a premium for people who can work weekends. (And jobs are everywhere, so you can likely walk to work even if you commute to classes.)

@@tukangparkir297 Let's say you're one of 5000 sophomores, and probably one of only 100 sophomores in a particular major. Of the major-related courses that fit your degree plan, one's 9:30-10:50 TR and another's 3:30-4:50 TR with a 5:00 R lab - since they're all for the same major, odds are good they're all in the same building. (Call it Building 405.) You also need a life science and see a biology course two buildings over (5-min walk; call it Building 502) 11:00-12:20 TR with a 5:00 T lab. You're feeling confident with these courses, so you decide to take two gen-eds as well - and since there's 5000 sophomores needing these course, there are a LOT of offerings all over campus. A bit of research and you land an 8:00-9:20 TR History class in Building 303 (5-min walk from 405, 10-min walk from 502) and a 12:30-1:50 TR English class in Building 710 (8-min walk from 502 and distant from all others). If you drive, it's easy to get a parking pass for a lot near Building 405 (since that's your major), so your day starts and ends near where you're parked. With this approach, your classes are done by 12-1, earlier if you’re lucky. Then you have afternoon-evening to work. And evening-night for free time.
Exactly what I do. Go to sleep at 11:45 wake up at 7-8 and be in class at 9am. Then I’m done by 12, go to work at 1:30. Finish work at 4:30 then I study/ do hw/ hangout etc.
@@tracy_cakkes When i went i had to wake up at 6, get a bus on 6:45 that was 20 minutes bike ride... be at campus around 8:30... study.. get back around 18:30.. have dinner.. do some homework.. then also do some work from 19:30 till about 23:30 (2 times per week and full day on saturday). Hang out a bit untill about 1 am.. then the alarm went again about 6.. i was dead most of the time.. on sundays i slept in every week.. didnt have much fun.. no time. I was so happy when i finally graduated that it was done. It was 5 hours of traveling every day (probably even 6).. If i had to do it again id just move closer.
Man as if I could choose if they were afternoon…
dawg this is literally my life story… idk how he got everything so perfectly
I pretty much have no choice but to sign up for 8 am classes so that I get full units/load every semester so that I graduate on time. It's not that much of a hassle since my house is just near the uni I go to
why is the first thing i noticed is that you stepped on a crack
Mate im beyond a night owl at this ponit. Those 7:00 pm classes be looking tasty
afternoon classes are a nightmare
if you are a senior going into college, just know that this is unironically really good advice.
it seems obvious now, but it won’t be so obvious when it’s said and done
Jit broke his mother's back no wonder she's upset.
Last semester I had classes from 7am to 6pm 😂, you just gotta keep it consistent, waking up early is hard but it's possible.
I needed this in January bro. Learned the hard way never take morning classes.
HE STEPPED ON A CRACK!
He just stepped on a crack...
7 pm sounds like the coolest hour to start school
Early classes can clutch up lol i could not possibly will myself to go to school in the afternoon
Can’t sign up for afternoon classes when your university only offers a class needed for your major at 8am 😭
Bro broke is moms back right when he went to college
My university didnt have an option to do afternoon or morning classes, you started in the moring and ended at afternoon. Set times for each class
8 am is a miracle for me. As a high schooler, school starts at 7:30, so we gotta be there until then.
Sign up for an online university like Liberty. It’s way cheaper, you get access to counselors that will always pick up the phone and help you with everything from picking your major to putting the right classes on your schedule. Then you just do the work from a computer on your own time. No mandatory lectures, just do the work. 2-3 classes every 8 weeks. I never would have finished my degree without accredited online university.
I had no choice but to have half my classes as morning classes
These tips are so helpful :)
On the first day of college, my cousin bought a firetruck costume that made noise and ran around campus
Skool is 4 chumps -Spongebob Squarepants.
This first mistake was that he stepped on the crack 😒
Sometimes the 8am class is your only option if all the spots for the later classes are full.
I would recommend classes that you can guarantee make so that it fits your schedule and you won’t lose sleep 💤
I wish I could sign up for noon classes but all of the STEM classes at my college are only offered in the morning for some reason.
I had classes from 8 am to 5 pm everyday for 6 years 💀
It's good to be up in the morning. What makes a bigger difference than class timing is who's teaching it
My ocd kicking in when he stepped on the crack in the first part
