Blocking internet access by setting the DNS to loopback only works on exclusively ipv4 networks. Any quick way to do it on an ipv6 network?

I think this also happened to me, rather than using the loopback method, I just manually disabled my internet access from the xbox by just forgetting my main Wi-Fi and pressing go offline. Hopefully this will not cause any issues to exploting.

An easier option is to share your cell phone network and connect to the Xbox, this way it will not be possible to have an IPv6 connection, only IPv4
Doing some testing with the PoC it seems you do NOT need a pico or rubber ducky, what you can do is put the file on a usb drive, so a app like Notepad T' and copy the code from the usb drive then paste it into the game script using the provided "Paste Code" button. It worked.

Yep, it always seems to be one dev who's been working on some type of exploit for years. They say things like, this won't be able to be used for backups/etc. Then they release what they've been working on and you suddenly have 100+ of the smartest minds working on it and boom, miracles happen within a few weeks/months.
@@davidsummers6700 if all the smartest minds where in on this then yk we still wouldnt see anything above backups, wouldnt be able to go online, wont be able to mod next gen games, wont even be able to freely change os version, microsoft locked down the xbox one and above after the 360 was jailbroken so easily, theres way more security in the firmware and bios

I wouldn't want people who can modify a game to play online with it, just look at the state of COD and GTA on the PS3/360, modders have made the games still available to be played online as completely unplayable since they're aim-botting everyone and spawning in a thousand vehicles a second until peoples game crash just for sh*ts and giggles. 2. If you want to mod next gen games, it's called a PC, not an Xbox. 3. Freely change OS version? Why would you even want to do that? 4. Give it time, be patient. This is just the beginning for the Xbox One/Series consoles.

For everyone who asks why not just buy dev mode for $20 dev mode isn’t the same as a system take over the possibility of a system takeover leads to believe that eventually the other os could be exploited so if you have an Xbox you don’t use do this if not don’t worry about it

I wouldn’t be disappointed just yet. Exploiting the kernel is a huge deal and this is the start of great things - backups could take time so I would do this to a console like the Xbox One that’s been sitting in the closet for years but wouldn’t do it to a Series X/S condole being used as who knows when backups can be possible. I’d be very happy if emulators and some home brew apps can run without paying for the Developer Mode which can be patched out by Microsoft at any time. Older Xbox One games are so cheap now so just buy them used people.

Thing is, game backups might not be possible atm but this is a foot in the door and somebody else could leverage the possibility of running backup copies.

if this is like dev mode we could obtain uwp apps/games or even mod them. however this is uwp apps/games, meaning this is limited to apps and a very small selection of games. something like gta v or cod is not a uwp apps/games

It will definitely require external hardware if it would be possible at all, the thing about the rgh days u had to pay a lot of money for an rgh Xbox or have the know how to do it urself which definitely limited the amount of hackers there were.
Idk I had to pay for a key vault or whatever to stay online and it lasted an hour and costed like a 100 bucks

We've already had homebrew on this thing from the start, hence why it was never broken. Didn't think anybody was looking because there's no motive. For offline, we already have PS4, PS5. Switch, vita, etc..I dont know of any good offline games for Xbox (at least that aren't also on PS4). Would have to get an extra console for this, whatever it is.

Learning from nintendo hacks of the past, the concept here is there is a way to break out of the sandbox for full system access.

I don't understand the benefit if the upcoming exploit won't let you play backups of your games. What are the other uses of an exploit like this?

No one truly knows where this exploit will go, even the dev currently working on the exploit. The point in getting the Game Script App and keeping your Xbox on 4478 is that if something comes up from this exploit, you can enjoy that possible eventuality. If you choose to update past 4478, then you don't get to even have the choice. For all we know in 2 years this exploit could be combined with another exploit and bam, game back-ups work and you can dump single-player games into lets say in a hypothetical xpkg format. Wouldn't it be a bit unfortunate that instead of being patient, you decided playing a game of Fortnite or Black Ops 6 online one day was worth more than an exploited Xbox One or Xbox Series console that can play back-ups?
Seems like a proof of concept type of thing, with no real benefits for now.

Piracy would be pretty hard even if the guy managed to make an explot to achieve "VM Escape" and take control of the Hyper-V OS, Microsoft has other safety features at hardware level which put piracy so far away, at the end, if you want piracy, get a PC 🤷🏻♂️

sounds like DEV MODE i all ready have that and any one can get one i think you have to pay for it now 20 bucks.. dev account but i had made one years ago when they was free they turned it off for none use i had to contact support and have them reactivate the settings on the account

The 11.00 jailbreak should work on all models of PS4 since it's an OS exploit not a hardware exploit. The issue with the PPPWN is it isn't like the 9.0 where you can plug and forget in a lot of cases, sometimes you need to repeatedly try before you get the overflow to load the later stage payload.
This is something MW has repeatedly pointed out in the videos on how to do the jailbreak and in the videos when it was announced with the proof of concept.
I suspect you are either doing something wrong like not using a PPPoE connection or you aren't or haven't set the retry bounds correctly. I would check the project pages to see if there are updated clients or get something like a Pi4 to load it. There are very specific ways that you must trigger that exploit directly unlike the web exploit.

so sounds like we have full unrestricted Homebrew rather than anything limited to early HEN on PSP in the early days. but still sandboxed by the actual hardware, prob not worth in my case to dust off my Xbox One S, where i have modified systems elsewhere (PS4 slim/PS3's, Switch n a Steamdeck.)

I removed myself from the insider via the hub app and deleted the data. Reset console and am still on 4908 firmware, cannot update to get on correct firmware
You might have to do a complete fresh install of your os.
Insider program is the worst as you can over write the os that’s already installed.

1. Exploit will work on xbox series and xbox one consoles
2. Exploit won’t allow piracy but would allow cheating
3. Its best to use this exploit on a console you don’t mind being banned, but factory reset and use a clean microsoft account
4. Exploit should have a use in July

Ps3 jailbreak and xbox 360 rgh were cool but i dont see the point I have dev mode i can play PS1 full speed up to 4k PSP full speed even some ps2 games full speed and Nintendo Gamecube. The only thing i could see this for is to turn it into a windows desktop and even then the hardware is to old to run modern games on high settings.
Rather use the money for game pass sub. Devmode should be free imo & this is the only way to do it.

Nö it is more than dev mode. Dev mode just gives you control over the app. This gives control over the UWP OS. The next step is breaking the barrier 🚧 to Game OS on the Hyper V.. Ma in benefits at the moment is less memory restriction 2gb+ and dx12

Kernel level access. It opens up the file system to read and write. Look up "what is kernel level access"
It allows you to do dev-mode things without being in dev mode. No plans in the future for playing game backups or anything like that for now.

@@ReveriePass You will be able to make backups if I understand correctly. I think Mr.Mario's last video mentioned a backup tool that is available to use. I don't think you'll be able to play them on Microsoft hardware though.

If you remember Xbox One was said to be impossible to jailbreak. I never believed in that and it's a silly statement really to say something is not moddable. It's just silly, impossible. Everything can be hacked and when it comes to Xbox the question is why nobody did anything earlier? Also why Xbox 360 never got softmod.
