    Love your reviews and the simple honesty. I have the Bose, JBL and Apple pro 2s. All have their place and time and all are very good. If I had to chose just one, it would be the Bose because of the bass.

    I got mine a week ago and i returned it. Really good sound quality. Better than the bose and sony in my opinion. The downfalls for me were 3 things. Chucky case, i couldnt really keep it in my pocket. Super uncomfortable. 2 is getting the buds out of the case is kind of tricky. You have to come in at the right angle otherwise you cant get them out. Three and worst of all is the microphone. People could not understand me at all on the other end.

I think the next pair for me to try is the sonys.

    I'm a Galaxy Buds3 Pro owner and I was wondering if you could compare it to the Tour Pro 3. The biggest letdown on the Tour's is that you can not use proper volume control. It just doesn't make sense anymore, in 2024. That's why I went for the Buds3 Pro (combined with S23). Great sound, great comfort and excellent ANC. The EQ on the Buds3 Pro is very powerful as well. 👌🏼

    I ended up choosing between the Sony xm5 and the Bose QC II. I rejected the Bose (and bought the Sony xm5) due to connectivity issues, a crashing, unstable app, and an unsupported cutting-edge codec also multi-point was not implemented in such sophistivated way as sony did. I wonder if Kevin’s beard affected their mic performance? It’s hard to find out there could be such a noticeable variation between two units. But like y’all said, it could just be a bad mic on those black ones. I hate to think that though. These are expensive and makes me feel like I have to scrutinize each earbud’s features to make sure everything works right. Not a good feeling. I’d love to know if you guys tried swapping the colors between y’all to see if the black ones are still bad with Rohan.
    This was an excellent review though and I liked the format. I would’ve liked a little more details on the audio performance of the Tour Pro 3. But I’m comfortable enough with looking at FR graphs which you guys provided. A big step ahead of most other channels. I’m less sensitive to the highest frequencies so I’m always curious how much the EQ can boost or cut. Since JBL’s EQ is one of the best ones, I’m very interested about this. It’s a shame I rarely see measurements that help demonstrate the EQ range. I realize it’s a bit of work though. I can see for many people, the default tuning is already excellent and they may only want to make subtle changes.

But do ya know if those black Tour Pro 3 performed the same with no beard? I was thinking if you guys use a different phone/ OS from each other, then that’s good too. Could notice if there’s any odd behavior or bugs to blame for that call quality at the same time.

    I feel like when Bose released the Ultras every reviewer got too fixated on what it did not do, like the no wireless charging part and neglected what it can do, and does very well, like the ANC, transparency, kickass controls (very few buds can do swipe to change volume even today) and the comfort. Custom Tune was also downplayed massively, it's something that requires no user input, and it does this automatically everytime the earbuds are put in. It's way better than the manual sound personalization that other brands offer.

    • @DHRME
      @DHRME  16 дней назад

    Loved the video guys. A quick question, I wonder if you would consider generally adding a brief section for people who use 3rd party ear tips. Specifically when it comes to fitting them in the case. Even a demonstration highlighting the depth of space available without the buds in the case. Im not suggesting attempting to try multiple 3rd party ear tips with each review.
    Personally I find myself using the XM4s due to both the bass and the size of the space in with the buds. I can use large foam eartips for better noise cancellation and comfort. This is something I have been trying to replicate in another pair of buds but have not found any with the sufficient space.
    The XM5 case does have some additional space but not as much as the XM4s. It leads to the tips pushing the buds out of the charging ports. Enough to making the charging inconsistent i.e. One bud at 100% and the other at 10% .
    Storing the eartips in a seperate container is the fix, but it’s an added storage device and tedium. It also tends to wear out the foam tips faster since they become less malleable and loose fitting with handling. Taking them on and off the buds with each use knocks about 20% of the foam tip’s lifespan for me.
    Ive tried the silicones but much prefer foam.
    Thanks guys. I love your channel.

As for mesh filters - they come with adhesive, you stick them to the edge of the nozzle to avoid getting insides dirty, just get something between 4.5-4.7mm in diameter. They sometimes come off if you keep readjusting or swapping eartips but it's still better than nothing. Rest is personal preference depending on ear shape and sound signature you are looking for. At least sony didn't use those horrible hard foam tips that the xm3 came with.......but those came with nice long easy to seal silicone tips. xm5 tips still suck though.....and thevfact YOU NEED tips with a wax guard.....or to mod your own tips.

      To each their own but that's kinda hyperbolic, lots of great buds out there that are on par or better. Good for the price but they don't match the ones reviewed here or the B&W Pi8.

    Bose amplification sucks. Volume increase causes decrease in bass. Sony is balanced and jbl is v shaped
