    What rasgueado is your favorite to use?? This one is one of the most basic and popularly used ones, but there are many other combinations. (Also, I apologize for the lack of a second camera in this(my first tutorial). Please check out the rest of my playlist for better camera views ruclips.net/user/playlist?list...

      Hi Hamad! I’m sorry to hear about your problem. I have heard about this happening to a few people I’ve known and even a famous flamenco guitsrist Gerardo Nuñez, I believe. I know a little about it, but am not qualified to give any good suggestions or opinions. I’m sorry I can’t help with that. 🙁 I would do some good research to figure figure out the best way to recuperate. Best of wishes to you!

    Thanks a lot for tutorial.
    I m very new to flemenco style i m practicing rasgueado with all fingers .my flick is not so strong with pinky n ring finger ,how to bring this

    • @DavidChiriboga
      @DavidChiriboga  2 года назад

      Sure, you’re very welcome! That’s very typical for the ring and pinky to be the weakest and most clumsy at first. Honesty it take time to have the muscles and independence develop in all the fingers. But one thing you can do now is, before you practice the rasgueados, practice each finger individually. So do the pinky for example about 10 times, and then move to the next finger, and maybe repeat another set. This will help. Just make sure each strike is as clean as possible and sounds like one sound, don’t slur it down the strings. Good luck!

    could you elaborate at the two different schools of rasgueado more? Which one do you prefer?

    • @DavidChiriboga
      @DavidChiriboga  3 года назад +1

      Sure... So one method is having the fingers start off slightly behind or resting upon your the side of your thumb. So they slide off of your thumb, for a little extra sling or “flick” motion.
      The second method is having the fingers start from a more natural curled position towards with palm of your hand with nothing holding them back. It’s more of a free motion, no flick.
      I made another updated video with two camera angles, check it out as it might help a bit more to see this. I have the link in the video or description.
      I think it’s beneficial to be able to play both ways, depending on the context of what your playing. But there’s many great players that mainly prefer one of them. Experiment with them.

    • @DavidChiriboga
      @DavidChiriboga  3 года назад +1

      Lastly I usually prefer the behind the thumb method for a punchier sound. But it’s not always possible to use it in certain situations. So I do use both depending on context.
