This is one of the best tutorials I've seen for drawing faces because you made it simpler and easier to understand than most. Most tuts I see just expect you to already know all the terminology. Thanks for this. :)

+‫زياد الجميل‬‎ basically the arch you are drawing is supposed to be the same... angle i would say than every part of your circle. ( <--- this arch should be repeated an infinity times in your circle. To help you do that you can draw a square first, separate it in 4 equal small squares. The center of your cross is the center of your circle then do 4 arches on each corner of your big square. Make sure the arches are all the same lenght... yeah thats pretty much it.
or you can just take a COMPASS

If you're using pencil, make sure to use your shoulder not wrist. Draw many circles by moving your arm in a circular motion. One o the circles will be good enough! :)

Since there are individual differences in body proportions, this must work out pretty well too, although the proportions shown here do vary from the standard proportions taught in most art schools & art books. So well done!

This is really helpful. I really don't think I'm artistically 'gifted' but I really want to be able to have the ability to draw, at least, a realistic looking human face, and this helped a ton. I've struggled with finding good videos that show me the proportions and not just themselves drawing it and this was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you, please continue to make videos!

To say that I enjoyed watching your video on the face is not enough. I believe one has to be able to relate to the instructor's teaching method and skills to not only carry out the instruction but to enjoy the work involved. I want to learn to draw, and I want to learn to draw well. Thank you for making this video. I am practicing everything you demonstrated and hope to improve my drawing over time.

To be an artist, you have to basically learn your own style, either it's taken down from someone else's and turned it to yours, or wether you spent 3 weeks working on a face, it comes naturally, I recommend you find a cheap person to learn with, because these videos usually just make you stall.....no offense to the person who made the video, that was great! It helped me a little bit, and your a great artist.

    Hi, 87tors!
I see that you have created a LOT of fascinating drawing tutorials, and as a beginner, I'm a bit overwhelmed. I was wondering if you could help me out by answering this question: As an absolute beginner at drawing who wants to learn drawing realistic human figures (only sketching; not coloring), what are a few principles/skills/techniques (optimally 5-15) I need to practice over and over again to do that?
For example, I already know that 1) anatomical drawing, 2) shading, 3) perspective, 4) proportions are important. What are some other essentials?
I'm looking forward to hear from you!
    Frode, a friend from Norway
