10:28 - I saw the flash of an arc behind the left-hand breaker when you turned it off. It must be refreshing to see a clean house (without beeping smoke detectors), an easily-accessible attic hatch, and a wide open attic that has some subflooring down... The air handler is even elevated off the floor! Find out who the builder is, and send him a little "Thank You" for the holidays! 😁
It would be great if you'd add in some details as you're working (when background noise allows) about what you're doing. What is the basic operation of that sequencer? If 15kv strips were unexpected, why? Too small? Anything you can add in as you're working helps viewers like me understand more- thanks for posting these videos so regularly!
I suppose would have been nice if previous tech had made a note on the unit's door cover saying "added 3# 410a, was low" I don't think I've done that but do write down when a motor or cap is changed.
I wonder if it was overcharged due to a leak, and the previous owner just didn't want to pay to fix it. Hopefully you won't get a callback in Spring that shows a low charge.
I would have installed a Disconnect and a new heat package. I know that's not always the best expense way, but it would be the safest way for future call backs
My first observation is that it appears that the indoor and outdoor units were connected to an existing ductwork system (see the poor transition on the supply plenum), but it looks like a high velocity mini duct system, ie: SpacePak, Hi-V or Unico). A standard air handler won't work on that duct system. It's impossible to accurately evaluate the charge if the correct indoor airflow isn't verified. It was probably also overcharged. I noticed that after adjusting the charge, the suction pressure was 90 psi. The indoor coil would be freezing up at that pressure.
"It's makin' an awful racket."
Best customer diagnosis ever.

Arcing will be expected if there was a load on the circuit, which there was.
Owner and compressor are probably much happier now. :)
Filter was Changed after he Scheduled this Service Call and Before your Arrival. 😬👍🙏
Thanks for helping those folks out. Seems like the older I get, the colder I get. Nice job

Headlight is red and black, that's the only problem 😂. Great job Curtis
Need to put on invoice, "Clean attic access to unit discount". Oh yea
When you take a Seawolf Class from Japan to Antarctica, you've got good subcooling.

I’ll try to remember that.
Nice video Curtis, with nice sharp camera work, and you left the customers system working as it should 👍 Au

Thx. Nice place. 6 degF this morning, Winter coming.
This is a 410! Sure, don't make em like they used to.
Mine is 34 yo R-22 and its still running strong.
Could it be that the system has a leak and who ever sold the house overfilled it to keep it from not working for a while
Yes. Very probable
How to keep it not for working ? U mean someone tried to fixed it?
@@brandoncorrea511 I meant to leak out slowly to delay it from stop working, given it sometime to stop working
Absolutely perfect repair!!
Thanks
Nice diagnostic 😊
Finally a attic that you can walk in
All that room for activities 😅
Take time to take care of yourself.!!!!
nice to see you working somewhere besides the slums .
Yeh, it’s nice sometimes to work in a nice place.
designer...hey i got a great idea...lets put the controls behind the primary voltage
If only the flex was on in the way it would be perfect but i give it a 95 good access
Nice work as always Curtis.

Great job Curtis what happened to your new light ? Thanks for the video
I still have it.
Won’t it be more accurate to check subcool level in cool mode ?
Yes, but it was way too cold for that
Weather king
Curtis - is a leak check the right thing to do, on a warmer day, at least?
Nice video. Any idea how much refrigerant you removed?
👍👍👍

If he was using his heat strips his Georgia power bill will be kind of high. It'll help pay for the new nuclear power plant. 🤫😵⚛️👍🤟💪
