Welcome to Edinburgh, Scotland, regarded as one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Its historic heart, the Old Town is one of the most striking and architecturally significant in the world and what better way to explore it than on foot?
Today's walk covers the "Old Town", Edinburgh's oldest area, dating back to medieval times and lined with narrow alleyways, wool shops, pubs and historical landmarks. This one-hour walking tour follows the most popular route, beginning at Lawnmarket and bottom end of Castlehill, then continuing down to Grassmarket, the picturesque Victoria Street, Cockburn Street and back to the Royal Mile to High St, concluding outside the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Never been to Scotland, love the scenery of Edinburgh. Don’t think is would be able to walk with the cobblestone and hills, my knees couldn’t keep up, that is why I love these videos. I’m sightseeing in my own home. I know it’s not the same as actually being there, this is better than nothing. Thanks so much. Old lady here in NY.

Yes you could. My old body made it. The Royal mile is stunning. We stayed at the Radisson on the royal mile, it wasn't expensive. I will say one thing, make sure you do the evening ghost walk. Wow this place has some heavy heavy vibes. Ps. Hire an ability scooter.

Exactly❗️- kinda-old (but not really so old) but today walker-dependant due to mobility disability... who use to run 4x/wk in 20s/30s/40s but decided to wait 'til retirement' before "traveling abroad" 😖 No Way could I have even imagined at 50 getting a life altering diagnosis 😳 or the world of COVID lock-down 😖 or a solution in YT digital travel🤔....
My husband comes from Edinburgh. He passed away last 3 years. I still want to go back to visit this beautiful city again. The sound of bagpipes brings up all beautiful memories. Thank you for sharing this beautiful city.

I was blessed to be able to visit Edinburgh for three scant days back in 2016. It took less than half an hour for this city to fully enamour me and become one of my favourite spots on the planet. The beauty of the city, the depth of history and the character of the people will never leave me. I cannot wait to return!
I visited glasgow some 16 years back. It was pure heaven. Loved the place . It was so beautiful and picturesque.
Thanks for these incredible city... All had been built in stone, no bricks in facades, always local stone of Scotland. And the alleys are very narrows. A different city in Britain.

Beautiful City and the Edinburgh people I met when there where really nice, been twice now, once by myself for a few days of visiting the sites and enjoying the nightlife many years ago and the 2nd time taking my children to the Zoo a few months ago, been all over the UK and can say Edinburgh is by far my favourite City.

I've always wanted to visit Scotland! I studied abroad in Ireland many moons ago and never made it over there, so it's still on my bucket list. Lived in Edinburgh for a year back in 2005-06 . I used to walk down the royal mile every day and across the bridge to princess st to get to work . Good memories !

Born and bred in Leith, long time living abroad. Visited many places on this earth and “ma hame toun” has yet to be matched. What’s also amazing is our wilderness in the highlands, I bagged a few munros in my day and again some of the most spectacular vistas I’ve ever seen are above the highland line. This made me very very homesick.

It's not changed much since the last time I was in Edinburg, which was back in August 2013...I made a walking video too, and comparing both videos. the one noticeable difference, apart from this being shot in 4k is the way some people are going about their business, quite a few people can be seen walking with their heads down texting. I know mobiles were around in 2013 but people didn't use them as much and actually looked where they are going.
