    As I watched several videos, I’m amazed and stunned at the final product! I’d love to do this to my car but that’s not happening anytime soon and that’s OK because I can watch all your amazing transformations!😁
    I have to bring this up because unless you have ever worked with color in any form, there is something most people don’t know about testing the color and I thought it was AMAZING that I saw you did it!!!
    The BLACK paint stirs!! Yes I know they don’t come black and yes I’m going to assume you have a set up to paint or stain a bunch of them black.
    People often think you need white to test color but actually, BLACK IS VOID OF ALL COLOR so if you test a color on black, you then will see what the actual and true color is and will be!!!
    Like I said, to see this is absolutely amazing and yes you have a new subscriber because the dips I’ve seen so far are fantastic and the Candy Apple is perfect!!!!

      @ShinnyMetal 3 года назад +6

      I think this is just the nature of it being plastidip is not much tou could do to improve it. A candy coat is at it's best with a smooth, bright silver undercoat and dip just cant provide that in the same way traditional paint can do. I paint models and candy coat can be the trickiest to make look perfect

    • @stevelozano9523

    • @ShinnyMetal
      @ShinnyMetal 3 года назад

      @@stevelozano9523 a bright gold isnt going to deepen the color too much compared to bright silver and will alter the color more, though that may be desirable in some cases. A lot of what makes a candy deeper is the candy itself. If you really want to deepen it you candy over a more chrome like paint.
      Ultimately a gold undercoat isnt going to solve the dullness problem. That comes from not having smooth, high gloss surface from start to finish and that is difficult with plastidip, if even possibly

    I currently own a 2018 Kia forte LX… Literally just a daily driver gas zipper and it’s an ugly espresso brown right now… I thought I was going to sell the car to Carvana but I decided to keep it and pay it off quickly to help rebuild credit since I’m just coming off of a bankruptcy about a year and a half old.
    With all that being said, I’m ready to ditch the ugly espresso brown and do something that pops more, I wanted to do the true red, or the cinnamon red, but this is exactly what I was looking for this is the color I want it to be. I have this video downloaded so I can always come back to it easily, I’m going to order that can of candy apple, as well as the dip I will need to do it with.
    Thank you Fonzie, this is exactly what I’ve been waiting for!

    always innovating, the best products that can exist, greetings from Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, it hurts that the dollar at this time does not favor us, due to bad management of the government, but without a doubt plastidip is the brand of choice always

    It looks neath, the darker base make it the most beautiful candy apple I have ever seen, but will it peel?

    Looks great, flawless paint job,should also try to do a gun metal base coat and then a translucent color on top makes a pretty sick effect, I use it on models and love the results

    After you paint the silver base I would recommend using stencils to put gold on the silver whether in scallop form or even flame then candy the whole thing

    Holy schnikeys!! That is completely dope!! I have to admit that first coat was looking a little anemic. But the end result is, perfect!! Rich deep red that pops in the highlights. Definitely compliments the lines of the Evo! Gorgeous end result!! 👀😲👍
