Farmhouse DIY concrete and rope DOOR STOPS

In this video I show you how I made these super easy concrete door stops. They are very much needed for my two doors that refuse to stay open ! well now I win ! :)
I used these snack containers left over from Christmas.
Any container with a silver foil lining is perfect for concrete.
I used rope from B&Q but cheaper rope can be sourced in so many places.
the quick set cement is available from B&M and WILKO and I am guessing many more places. B&Q do not sell it.
I attached the rope to the centre of the containers, poured the concrete in, keeping the rope taut.
Once set, I remove the top half of the card and paint the concrete before attaching the rope.
This will be my last HOME DIY before I post a couple resin videos followed by Halloween.

I loved this video ❤️. What a fab idea. I’ve seen all the bean bag door stops in B&M and Wilco’s but like you I have heavy doors and they won’t keep them open. This is an awesome idea. I love the way us Brits say things like just shove it in 😜 it’s proper mint 👍. I’m Guna nick this diy off you as these will be fab in my house too. You are the cement queen-omg can we fashion you a Halloween costume??? Cement queen! You know I’ll bejewel you in sea glass as well ha ha ha. These are gorgeous and you did a great job with the text-it’s challenging to get them perfect and bravo- you are practically perfect in every way. I need some hot glue fingers...I spend hours picking glue off my fingers after each DIY. You are just as impatient with your crafts as I am...I throw it in the oven to dry it so I can continue onward! The cement reveal is very satisfying. And they look amazing painted in white. I want to replicate this absolutely love these guys. Claire you’ve done it again girl. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Claire, great idea, I've been using a bottle of bleach to hold my door open...Question can you make silicone molds out of your chips cans, if so can you pour acrylic resin ect In and reuse ??? With a glass finish and a miniature boat you could have quite a nautical theme.
Hey Claire thanks so much ! Glad it's not just me who has to improvise 🤣🤣🤣 I dont think these would work with resin ... resin sticks to absolutely everything! Except silicone and some plastics .. that's a very cool idea though ! A silicone mould would be best for that I think xx I am filming some resin videos this weekend looking forward to it xx
