    Hello! New sub here. I came over from Myke's channel. I had to see who inspired the fabulous WHERE CLAIRE series! Just LOVE these cement pumpkins! They came out AMAZING! Great, creative technique to make them too. And I just loved (and can completely relate to) your written commentary as the process took a turn south. Why is it that, especially when working with one shot mediums like cement, the trial always goes smoothly and as soon as you try to put it on film, things start to go amiss?!?! Well I'm glad it turned out so well in the end. Beautiful!! 😊😊👏👏👏💗💗

      How amazing thank you so much for coming over ! That means so much . . Love MyKE so much ! He is my go to guru for energy and positivity ❤❤ so glad you came .. and it's always the way isnt it ? Of course the air was a little blue 🤣🤣 couldn't believe it when it set rock solid so fast but it's such an easy mistake to make so figured I'd leave it in to help others xx so glad you're here thankyooooo

    I love these pumpkins and have been making them for years. Just a tip..if you have a Dremel, a fairly cheap tool, you can use the little sanding wheels and sand the string right out of the crevices and any bits of the stocking. You did a great job!

    I was suppose to show fall placemats for this. Ooh I’ve never worked with cement. Smart to put the twine out first. 😂😂😂 it’s too hard to film and do that quick. I’m worried you’re hands are going to turn to stone lol love how they turned out

    Those are amazing!!! I think you could cut most of the exposed string off with a razor knife or exacto knife. I think you could buy a concrete that doesn't set so quickly and find the proper mix to give you a bit more time.😊

    • @ClairesCraftyCorner
      @ClairesCraftyCorner  5 лет назад

      Thanks Ed, so glad you like these also... a concrete that takes longer to set would be great for sure !

    I love that you kept your first attempt on here. Nothing in nature is perfect, so it gives them a nice realistic touch not being perfect. For outdoor use what paint would you use ?

    • @ClairesCraftyCorner

    You could just burn the string I don’t think it would harm the concrete, they turned out amazing

  • @malva4838
    @malva4838 5 лет назад

    Those are cute! Fun to see how each of you have different methods for them. Do you think you could burn the leftover string? Or would that effect the concrete? I came to yours from Chelsea's via Dainty Dress Diaries

    • @ClairesCraftyCorner
      @ClairesCraftyCorner  5 лет назад

      Hey Mikka thanks so much for coming over to say hello... you totally can burn the string off ... I burned it however... it blackened the concrete around the area so I didn't like it at all x it's just proper hard not to get them stuck in there lol x
