I think they are perfect, they look real, like a real pumpkin. Not one pumpkin is perfect in nature. It gives them so much character..🎃 what a fun project. Great job bud 🙌🎯
They look so GOOD! I am absolutely going to try this! Concrete is made from cement powder, large aggregate (gravel), small aggregate (sand) and water. Married 40 years to a concrete specialist...you learn the difference 😂 He is a bit passionate about the subject
Uh oh! Kinda sorry that I happened on to your video. These are awesome. Every irregularity makes them perfect. My husband will flip when he finds out that I have another project in the hopper! Keep the ideas coming. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve loved this! Thank you for showing your process and how you’ve learned. Less intimidating for newbies to a craft and yours are so amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
These are truly so cool. I think they make a terrific grouping. Nick, do you realize how funny you are? Your humor is so refreshing. Thank you for sharing.
Oh my goodness!!! This is probably THE most wonderful DIY video I've ever seen! The pumpkins look antique! It probably won't be this year, but I WILL be doing some later, maybe even staining a few in muted water colors like the heirloom Jarrahdales, etc. Thank you SO much, Nick! This idea is perfect! Sending blessings from SC.
I like them, I made mine two years ago with nylons, which are a little flat. I also took a paper mâché pumpkin cut out the bottom and turned it upside down on a plant stand and then peeled it off. I also painted them orange, yellow, and blue then took brown wax and put it over that. For the stems, I used a tree stem, and I got brown wire with a paper type on it curled it and used fake leaves on it. You did a great job on yours.
Your ‘How to edge’ video and this pumpkin making video really showcases your natural teaching skills. Love, love, love how these pumpkins turned out. I’m always looking for non plastic products and you knocked it out of the park with this one.
Hi there Nick. I really appreciate you ❤️ Thank you for such a fun project. I wish we were neighbors and could make fun stuff together. I do all sorts of crafty things too. I just think you are so nice and really enjoyed it.😊
"I didn't take them from the hospital" 😂😂 The pumpkins look so good! I'm going to make these with my kids 😊 I'm thinking I'll use dried sunflower stalks for my stems 💡
Sprinkle some dirt or dry cement on that hot glue before it sets up and see if you like the looks of that. These came out terrific! You’ve inspired me to make some too.
First time your channel showed up as i was scrolling after watching Garden Answer. Great idea on making fall decor that will last for years to come. I have a quite large plastic pumpkin that is faded in color. Think i will mix up the cement and pour into it, placing a round plastic container in the middle. Then when dry enough, cut off the plastic pumpkin then removing the center piece. I can use it as a flower pot for mums. I could just leave the center container and put soil to replant or just put a pot of mums into the pumpkin. Dipping a piece of rope into the concrete mixture then applying it to the top is another idea instead of glue. Thanks for the video. Going to check out your channel and watch some of your videos.
I just now found your channel. It's great! The pumpkins look fabulous! I'm going to subscribe with every account I have! Don't change a thing, you made me crack up and taught me something brilliant! THANKS 🙏
Don’t ever stop creating!!! I absolutely loved learning how to make these concrete/cement pumpkins 🎃!!!! I have wanted to learn how & so happy I learned from you!!! Will you please teach us how to make ORBS next!!! I love your backyard…it’s beautiful!!!
I'm dying. Never stop making videos. This was pretty cool and now I will be forcing my husband to help me do this very soon. You are so freaking funny with the way you worded things: "this mixer piece thing", "so those were...zero...technically" "Gloves. Had these. I didn't take these from the hospital, by the way, if anyone is wondering. They were purchased." 🤣
New member here - what an awesome video!! Concrete is on Sundays shopping list, can't wait to try this project out. Looking forward to browsing your other videos. ❤
Ok you won me over. I love your sweet personality and humor. I've wanted to make these pumpkins for years and probably still won't but it sure was fun watching you.
I'm absolutely going to Bing Watch your channel! The spot where you displayed your pumpkins, next to the hydrangeas and topiary..... You Nailed It!!! GORGEOUS display!! You have got style, I love it!🌸🌸🌸
They turned out great! I made some years ago, but I used hypertufa. I’d like to try making some concrete ones. I love yours. Even the one you said you aren’t happy with. If you look at a bunch of pumpkins for sale at a pumpkin patch or the farmers’ market, many of them are shaped not quite perfect. Those are often the ones I pick. ❤
I just got off of a 12h shift at my hospital and I understand the brain fog😂😭😭 The pumpkins look amazing and we all understood what you meant so job well done ❤️
If you want to take it up a notch. Prime them and add color to make them look more realistic like the Heirloom/fairy pumpkins you see at the stores/ farmers market. But they sure turned awesome and they’ll last for years to come!
cut the hose off from the bottom, it would peel off easier. Liquid nail in a caulk gun. You could also use tree twiggs for the stem or if you have a garden some vegetable vine You did a great job!
I think they are perfect, they look real, like a real pumpkin. Not one pumpkin is perfect in nature. It gives them so much character..🎃 what a fun project. Great job bud 🙌🎯
They’re great! Please wear a mask to protect your lungs!
Hi Nick! These are so fun to make. I used rubber bands which was easier than cutting the twine, but either way it works. 😊
And you can use concrete stain t color them too!
These pumpkins!!! I love how they turned out. Thanks for sharing the process with us.

😂
😂 Thanks, I always wondered too.
You can get it with sand too for a smoother texture n make yourself with sand u buy seperate n concrete powder
Best video everrrr❤
Fabulous Cement Pumpkins. You are a Trip. Don’t change.🧡🧡🧡🧡🩶🩶🩶
Yes talks 95% too much
Amazing job! Love the pumpkins. I have just subscribed to your channel. Can’t wait to see what you are gonna attempt next!
Your beautiful yard doesn’t say “lazy” to me! FYI, CEMENT is the binding agent of concrete. I love the pumpkins! 🎃🧡
Uh oh! Kinda sorry that I happened on to your video. These are awesome. Every irregularity makes them perfect. My husband will flip when he finds out that I have another project in the hopper! Keep the ideas coming. Thanks for sharing.

They turned out great!
These are truly so cool. I think they make a terrific grouping. Nick, do you realize how funny you are? Your humor is so refreshing. Thank you for sharing.
For the rope stem maybe dip the pieces you cut in the cement mix and then put it in place to dry on the pumpkin, no glue needed! 😊

Staining them is a great idea!
Great idea! What would you use to stain them?
I’m not sure. Will have to research that.
I would imagine you could just water down paint (like a whitewash ) paint them and let them dry. I would definitely clear coat them after.
These are beautiful. Such a great tutorial. Thanks for posting.
Fantastic! Thank you for this tutorial, I’m off to Lowe’s! 😂👍👍 wish me luck!
So cute and easy
So great. I will try to make Some Thanks for sharing

You are a hoot!!! Love it!
The really knobby ones are my favorite. I love the imperfect ones as they look more natural.
Can add concrete stain to the cement. Great video. Simpler than others I’ve seen. All pumpkins look different if you have grown any
Your ‘How to edge’ video and this pumpkin making video really showcases your natural teaching skills. Love, love, love how these pumpkins turned out. I’m always looking for non plastic products and you knocked it out of the park with this one.

My son pulls 12s at the hospital. I just don't believe 12 hour shifts and any medical care should go together.
Those look amazing! You were a lot of fun to watch!! Great video!
I love them🎃
These pumpkins are perfectly imperfect🎉🎉🎉 Love them❤

I think I would use concrete mix without rocks and add perlite. It makes it not quite as heavy.
@@sherylstiles1205 That’s a good idea. I wanted the weight though because I’m using them outside mostly.
Loved these great job
