Love it man! I'm super impressed that the lower door hinges weren't (or at least didn't appear to be) rusted out. Mine are and that the floor pan was also trashed. I've got the entire pan cut out, seams cleaned/blasted and will be installing an entire pan into the truck this week. Gonna turn on notifications for your RUclips now, that way I don't miss another one. Keep up the good work man that Uni is looking great!
looks good man! can you make your videos showing more of your work? like the welding and grinding and what not. even if you post it at 1.5 speed. I like seeing people work try and learn how they do stuff
I need to talk to you about the Iron Horse name. My dad was the president of the Iron Mustangs baci in the 50's and 60's. Had a lot of fun back in those days!
@@EdgeofEternityBillCameron Right on!! I have been using the name for about 20 years, I started dragging unwanted cars out of people's yards when I was 19. That's the name I made because it made sense to me that a car is an "iron horse". I now see a bunch of people using the name here or there, but I'd like to think I'm the O.G.!!!
18th... nice work. I should send Cam out to ya for a few weeks. He has been really ben getting back into working on cars latly. There is a lot of similarities with being a jeweler.
Man I’m saving a 61 unibody body to I can only hope to do as good of body work as you but I did cut out the rot in the floor board and welded metal back into it but definitely ain’t pretty so I gotta do the fab work to fit the 1990 300 six 5 speed manual into it it ain’t got much money so it is what it is I wanna daily it
Thank for sharing! I really like the old trucks, I'm working on a rusty 76 blazer, so your tips help a lot.
Sincerely appreciated.
Awesome build can’t wait to see it finished!!

Sweet brother I love it Gene Gorringe Mi ✌️ 🇺🇲

@@IronHorseGarage Very cool name. I grew up in that clubhouse and everytime I see that name it brings back great memories!
nice tip with the grinding, so many people get the welding spot on the over heat the panel when nocking back the welds
It's looking good Arco and it sucks about the finger!! Lol

I filled a similar type of body line on a different model of ford truck I put 3/32 tig wire in it and welded it in with mig welder
I wanted to tig this but there was so much old seam sealer stuffed in this bodyline. I even had a hard time with the mig welding
@@OutlawEdge yeah I miss spoke in the first post I corrected it I just used tig wire as a filler then mig welded over it
this is intresting I might have to turn my 65 into a unibody since I don't like long beds maybe I will shorten the truck

Tedious work for sure, but it will be sweet when finished.
52nd?😲
Are you using silicone bronze wire? If not, it's Alot softer wire which is easier to grind and you are able to weld with less amperage.
That's a pulsed spray transition mig welding method.
Thanks I will look into that. If its easier to grind that would really help 👍
Do you know what engine and trans are going into this?
Small block ford hi performance 302 and a c6 tranny 👍
