This is my favorite story by far. Pinko is clearly just a child and is prone to mischief. He’s not doing it because he’s evil or has some sort of grudge.
I like that his father doesn’t let him do as he pleases just cause he’s a supernatural being.
I like that Pinko didn’t just help the woodcutter for the time being, but made it so he would continue to profit in the future.
Ultimately he’s an adorable creature and everyone should adopt one. Lol

@@Caprioly But that ratchet-ass King didn't even "want to pay [Pinko] for an honest day's work.", so that ratchet-ass King was probably ripping off his workers and had total control of food distribution supplies and obviously wasn't distributing properly if that poor man was poor. It's not like you could AFFORD to be lazy back then.I like to think the man gave food to his neighbors and strangers when they asked for it or at the very least charged a fair price/a reasonable exchange of ahard day's work for some food if they earned it.That's why people killed kings.

This is what obscene wealth looks like.
Yeah they worked for it, but now there is no forrest, no grain, and means to produce the grain is no longer in the hands of the people.

What I particularly like about this one is that the kid gets his kicks by screwing people over, and he turned his punishment into screwing other people over.
It's also a story about how "bad people" just need to figure out how to use their skills constructively.

These are so lovely. It reminds me of when I would check out various fairy tale books from the library to read to my little brother. I wish I would have found these when we were Young. He would have loved them.
