    Excellent video! I thought for sure you was fina say the Cory Henry Lingus solo! Potter's is amazing, don't get me wrong; and as an example of the techniques you went over, perhaps better. But for me, for pure inspiration, Cory's Lingus solo is up there with the best of the best. Cory Henry is his generation's Chick Corea in my opinion (there's an amazing vid of Chick and Cory improvising together that was like a passing of the mantle...).

      Of course, Cory’s solo is a modern classic and I love his playing. The way Potter so clearly develops certain melodic ideas is a little bit easier to grasp from an educational and analytical standpoint. Cory’s solo is more about the flow of ideas.
