I've always admired women who know how to play the set, especially if they're good. But Emmanuelle is GREAT and my gosh, she makes it look so easy... I'm totally astonished and I'm without a doubt an instant fan.
The incorporation of triplets using the bass and snare is amazing. This video is a testament to the importance of learning the rudiments if you even think about mastering a drum kit. A lot of youung players just pound the skins and make noise. You make the drum kit a musical instrument!

I do believe myself that we all have a hidden talent ,some people find it and hone it and schmucks like me plug away at the kit . I have been watching her videos now for two weeks roughly ,over and over and over again ,I have vastly Improved in that time ,I started to relax and I stopped trying so hard and voila ,I am getting smoother and I can do some real nice rolls now ,that darn Independence is near impossible ,I am crawling still in that department ,back to the drawing board guys ,take care and be good.
I've watched 4 of these videos now. I've got to say she is the real deal. Some of that was quite technical and a little odd time -- she handled it effortlessly. I've seen a lot of bombastic rock drummers that go to shit when they try and play jazz. This drummer is versatile.

I think this is the greatest female drummer I have ever heard. Her timing is perfect.
