This is the band from a TV show called Belle et Bum here in Quebec, all of them are total killers, some of the best studio musicians around here ! The guitarist Jean-François Beaudet is also so good !
Not really. She's fluent but not very economical. ( not that she should be - to each the style that suits her/him the best ) Should watch Mario Marino with the HSSC and Sing It live : now that's economical.
I gotta share my story with you, and yes I do own the sweetest Sonor Martini acquired at the ripe age of 50 something... matters not, it's irreplaceable! My drumming story... It began with my uncle, a percussionist who put sticks in my hands at 2 years old and a practice pad. His home was filled with instruments, middle eastern tablas, clay from Egypt, hand cymbals the belly dancers used, guitars and his drum pad. He played Timpany. I then started school, North Ryde Primary School in Sydney Australia, where lady luck once again blessed me with a drumming instructor. He was 100% blind, a Labrador guide dog would calmly sit by him and a dozen or so boys and girls would practice on wooden chairs behind the boys toilet block, to keep the noise down. This was one of the highlights of my life, the opportunity to continue with my passion at school. We were a public school, we didn't have instruments, but we could afford a pair of sticks and two chair, one to sit on, the other to play. We'd practice our marching beats.... Then my mum took me to the music shop, there was as beautiful Pearl snare, they had the adjusting pads inside back then, it came with just a ride cymbal, but my uncle also gave me a ride. So with two old drumsticks shoved into my draws as stands, I'd put my two cymbals up, snare and my dads old AM radio to listen to the greats on the Radio like Deep Purple, Stevie Wonder, Led Zepplin, yeah I was lucky to be born mid 60s. I played that snare for years, then suddenly dad passed away, life took a turn, we moved and drumming in a complex wasn't an option and my drumming stopped, high school, social life and growing up took over, sadly for decades until... I got married, had sons and 4 years into being a dad, Roland releases their first digital kits and I was at the music store, rubbing my hands eager to drum again. We enjoyed that kit for many years, it dialed in my eldest son's tempo, and my younger son wasn't shy either and just needed motor skill, he could find the "one" easy. I'd lent it to a good guitarist friend for years and I'd go over and have amazing improv jams together. Life again got busy, we moved, sold the set and a few years later, my eldest found his passion for music and we began populating a room with instruments. There was a void, you know it, so we headed down to Just Percussion just for a look, we knew a good set was very expensive, but I knew what I wanted! Honestly, we tried many expensive kits, none of them really drew me in until I sat before the AQ1 Martini kit. I tapped the snare and it was sweeeeet! It had a small 8" tom, I thought it small, but it was pitch up there with a tabla, so I thought that would be handy, and it has been and still is.... Ok it comes with a plain set of Ziljian beginner cymbals, the ride was nice, the crash ok, the hat a little dry.... But the small kick was legendary, so it had everything I needed, nothing more. Yes, of course we bought it, you didn't think I'd leave without it, did you? The Sonor Martini is amazing, I'd first played one at a friend unknowingly, then having owned on, tuned her up and realised I found the best kit for my needs. Our studio bedroom is tiny, the AQ1 tucked in a corner, partnered with a YAMAHA EAD, the Martini packs a punch bigger than I could have ever imagined. I appreciate the professional quality of your drumming, efficient, precise and your smile makes the world want to drum with you, big thanks for sharing and you really do look a lot happier with a band, I guess drumming is a lonely hobby when practicing. I won't plug my drumming here, if you want to hear a tiny Martini using an EAD to punch above it's weight, take a look at my channel See "Egg Mayonnaise" Hugz, ^5s and thanks.
Nothing on this planet compares with being able to sing like she does , or playing any of those instruments you see here on this stage and, play them like they all do here, I'm part of à garage band playing drums,,, well I think I do, Emmanuelle is one of the top drummer along with Simon Philips, Dave Weckl, David Chambers, ect. Love this ensemble on this stage!!
EC-you’ve done it yet again! I sure hope Stevie Wonder has a listen to this-you and your insanely talented friends do a FANTASTIC take on this FABULOUS medley of these two Stevie Wonder classics! First class all the way!👍👍👌
Thank you for posting videos. I'm a new but older student and watching your technique has helped me make corrections and complimented what my instructor has done too. I had a vision. I was listening to Handel's Messiah and the song Refiner's Fire and I thought E. could play the vibrato instead of the bass singer. Can you hear it? The vision extended further by creating an animation full of power and force. Then the vision extended to a street rod blaring the song with a drum and bass over done as it is on the street. People were turning their heads. Sorry if that sounds weird, but artists are supposed to be odd. May God continue to bless you and the band.
holy fat sack a' "NAILED IT," fer funk sake!!! you guys are great!!! im gettin my bass out n jammin this jawn on loop for a bit... i havn't played drums forever, but you inspired me to set my kit back up in my music room... saved to my practice list... thank you! kudos! :D
next-level on the kit but can we talk about that singer? WOW.

Great group 👏
The economy of motion in her playing is stellar.
Yes, and her rhythm is good too.
She's wicked tight
Not really. She's fluent but not very economical. ( not that she should be - to each the style that suits her/him the best ) Should watch Mario Marino with the HSSC and Sing It live : now that's economical.
The leftover energy is emitted from her smile!
