Playing on 1 of only three studio albums i believe, as well as writing some parts for Nevermind, it's good to see Grohl giving Chad Chaning some credit there. I think he deserves it. Bleach is also a really cool album too.
It's important to recognize that Channing did NOT play a SMALL part in the band. He contributed to MOST of the album's songs, and credit should be given where credit is DUE.
That’s very humble of Dave to call out the old drummer of nirvana, but honestly Dave deserves his credit in the RNRHOF for being the monumental member of nirvana at their peak.
I actually met Dan Peters from Mudhoney. Really nice guy. I didn’t think about it at that time, but shortly thereafter, I thought, “wait…didn’t Peters briefly drum for Nirvana?!” And then it suddenly hit me. I suppose that is the closest I will ever get to meeting the members of Nirvana.

No. Chad wrote the drum part for In Bloom. He had a hand in writing that drum parts for several Nirvana songs. When Dave joined the band he was just playing the drum parts that Chad came up with.

Bleach is amazing, much more punky and raw than Nevermind but the songwriting and groundbreaking vocals are definitely there.
