How to Move Games from C Drive to D Drive

In this video, we will show you How to transfer files from C drive to D drive or another letter. This is the best way to save space on C drive.
Moving files from C drive to D drive? Follow the steps given in this video and you will be able to move your files.
Please create a system restore point before doing this.
(bcz sometime chances to crash or corrupt the file)So you can prevent such thing from doing this and you can easily backup your file.

It starts a lil bit slower. But the game performs well (no drop in fps) because gaming performance depends on CPU, GPU, RAM not much on Storage drive.

Ok, I moved everything to my Z drive. However, why does the C drive still has the file?
Thanks! This worked for me, though I had to do a little work to figure out how to open the program after I moved it. I deleted the old shortcuts, then went into the program files and right clicked on the Audacity application file and created a new shortcut. You can also double click on the application file within the program files and open the program.

Stay away from this tutorial because once the files are transferred your pc will not recognize the new location thus will then not allow you to open any programs. Your apps will not work.
Repair and uninstall wont work until the original file is back in the original location.
I find it is easier to uninstall and reinstall than transfer.
this tutorial worked for me so...

Help please. When I try to run the 2nd command it says Cannot create a file when that file already exists
Check to make sure you don’t have it running in the background in your taskbar bottom right corner.
Adding to xotics point you can open task manager and see what is running in the background
I had the same problem but it means that you already have the file in the drive your moving it too. Delete that file, make sure the file is in your main drive then try again and it should work.

Make sure you run as admin

Did not work for me. Luckily I made a restore point. Transfer failed for some reason so I tried to restart and my PC wouldn't load.
My memory on C is a 2TB ssd while my memory D is a CD 4tb, does where you save your game decide your fps/graphics/loading time??

did you make sure that command prompt is running as admin?
huh?? whenever i do this the robocopy does not transfer the file but like destroys the folder and leaks everything out in my other drive like it isnt in a folder

it all depends on the game... some games, like a MMO, you want to keep on the SSD.

@@vaniccoella handbrake is another file, you have to rename it to your own file you want to replace everytime.
and change F: to D:
