  • TRIG avionics - The installation and setup of these devices are so well thought out, that at Micro Maintenance we would go through a full installation on a TRIG radio and Transponder set up. It required a custom avionics tray and some nice detailing on the headset jack mounts. It's the attention to detail that we like to give the customer at the end of the day.
    We hope that you find this video on how we modified the customers EV97 Eurostar to be fully set up with these systems helpful.

    Thank you so much! Very, very informative! I did purchase the TRIG ADSB OUT system for my Kitfox 2 and had no guidance on how to program the system. Yes there was instructions included with the product, but as you know hard to comprehend if one does not do this on a regular basis.

    Thanks for the video. I like the tray. Have you seen any problems with the Trig TT 22 or the Radio. Who owns the nice green Coyote II ?

      Trigg Avionics are fantastic, their equipment in my opinion is one of the best you can buy. Not only are they great bits of kit, but their after sales is exemplary, when you're spending this kind of money you want to know someone is on the end of the phone to ask even the simplest of questions.

    The transponder controls look pretty prominent. which is good. Looks like a lot of space to work on EV97. Had the CT2K dash off once (which I learn in) and that was a PITA.

      Yes we’re very fond of Trig products for many reasons, and yes some time the airframe is the main hurdle!

    With remote boxes you’d think that Trig might offer one radio management unit to tune it all, perhaps leaving one transceiver head as a backup.

    I was hoping you would cover how to add into the radio memory maybe next time when you cover the TN72 great video by the way 😀

      Hi Darren, we did cover it but the set up was 10mins alone. So next instal I’ll make sure we look more at use/function than set up 👍🏻

    Great video.....no mention of the static tube on the back of the controller, setup etc, can the trig be used without?

    • @wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946
      @wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946  Год назад +1

      Hi Mikkes, thanks for watching, on most UK microlight aircraft the static is usually taken from the cockpits static. Only recently has it become more common to fit an external source. The Trig system is able to operate with this. The installation is also required to under for a flight test with a local ATC before being signed off as a MOD any discrepancy would be highlighted during this and a static air added if required.

    Thanks for this video! There is an “intercom key input” wire on the pre-made harness, did you just ground this wire so VOX enabled continuously? I am actively installing this unit in my experimental, and this part is slightly confusing to me, thank you!

      Hi M, depending on the install… we’d either connect to ground or add a latching switch. But it’s of one more thing to remember so it’s often customer led. This install was grounded.
      I’m planning an install that features all the connections 😬

      @@wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946I had posted a year ago, and the install works wonderfully, thanks for your help! I love the trig radio for my experimental. Thanks again for posting this video, I had another question that lead back to this video (had to do with mic gain), will try it out on my plane tomorrow to see if it makes my new headset work better!

    What should i do if my trig avionic its storing noise with the engine sound

    • @wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946
      @wingnutshomeofmicromainten6946  2 года назад

      HI Cahyo, there are a number of reasons for faults... try dropping the mic gains and boosting the intercom
