    • @augustgreig9420

It applies to any time period. There has always been and will always be poor people. It's the only means the rich have to keep the middle-class in check. But with more and more people becoming working poor nowadays, they are demonizing the homeless, saying they are all worthless drug addicts who more or less chose to be there. They're demonizing drug addicts too for this same reason. They always need a class of people to scare their workers.

Anyone who got close to Prince through his music knows that he was a truly beautiful soul who wanted the whole world to be better off, not just his corner of it. Sure enough after his death we learn of just how much he "put his money where his mouth was" with all his secret charity projects. I hope that some of the huge amount of money his estate will make in the future will go towards genuine causes because that's what he was all about. Becoming a Prince stan didn't just make my life more colourful, it made me into a better person as well as made me feel better about who I was and for that I will always carry his name with joy and gratitude in my heart.

Prince was also a CAPITALIST. And knew how to spread that HARD WORK UP FROM THE BOOTSTRAPS work ethic success with causes he cared for. Not every charity was a secret you know. interesting - i beIieve prince created the cutting edge that most aspired to - was he IN his time? certainly! but much of his music is onIy now getting the credit it deserves as people catch up to it. to create the puIse is to be on it whilst simuItaneousIy being ahead of it. with the beatIes for example, much of the industry had to be invented to accommodate them. with prince - his IeveI of excellence was something many could not catch up to and the needs created bring the best out the industry and creates new methodology and technology. aIso he predicted the internet being such a game changer for the music industry, even if he was not quite equipped to accommodate it. he aIso pushed for artists rights that had not been challenged since being created during the 50's or before. that is being ahead of your time when u do things no one gets or tries for years to come.

You still have disadvantages in this country for the poor to get ahead. Yes you do have those like Prince who worked hard to get themselves out of poverty. His Royal Badness was a total inspiration to myself and many others but not everyone is so lucky. Have you ever heard of the working poor, people who work themselves to death and still can't get ahead. Prince had a powerful message in this song about not letting money rule you but it is definitely needed for survival. Lets put it this way the poor will always be with us and you can be very rich and lose it very easily. What this world needs is more compassion and understanding for others situations instead condemnation.

hahaha! i hope u are fortunate enough never have to regret those words Modernaire. the brass ring is not always so in reach no matter how hard u try and how deserved u are. otherwise toilet cleaners would be paid more for having the worst roIe, right? Life isn't fair - much of that climb requires stepping on others, cheating and Lying. that's not work i'm wiIIing to do! we do have power untapped but there are aIso forces that work against that power being tapped and those that have being suppressed - to not have noticed that in prince's work is suffering from monomania somewhat. there's a Lot to that deal btw. and it was 100 miI in advances and payments on numbers deIivered and such. watch the sIave trade documentary if u want more info and aren't into reading. truth is not subjective - it is based in facts that can be researched. the way u refer to 'the poor' as if u are not part of them is part of the con btw. how many people actuaIIy beIieve they are the poor? now how many have enough to spend time on their passions and family and resting? have a good day, sincereIy on behalf of and as part of 'the poor'. nice to meet u, finaIIy. ;-)

wendileona Stop re writing the meaning of Prince’s songs.
Prince always said he was lucky and he thanked God for his blessing.
This video acknowledges that the love from family and friends is worth far more than money in it’s true form.
Trump in this video represents greed and Bush represents war for control of the oil fields for money

He did do more with Spike dodo. Prince was making music for THAT TIME, 1990 to be exact. Spike's vision is that of victimhood.

One of the truest statements in all of 90s pop. "Just when you think you've got more than enough (of money)/that's when it all up and flies away". The documentary footage here is heartbreaking! Considering that one of the Bushes was in office no doubt things did not become better for this family.

This was such a beautiful track on the album. Thats for giving me the opportunity to see the music video. Very interesting to see it not a traditional one with Prince in it.
Kind of reminds me of Sign of the Times, where he wanted the focus away from him and on the lyrics and meaning.

Timeless. Prince had so much more to share with this world but I hope that he’s getting on with it in the other world. Surprisingly, just heard this incredible track played on a popular Sunday morning radio programme on ABC Australia, ‘Australia All Over ‘. I assumed that the radio presenter was pretty conservative but he spun this masterpiece and I have a new found respect for him. Well done Macka!! 🧐 . Please play more of these deep and meaningful songs to educate your massive listening audience on the important things in life, and it’s NOT MONEY!! It’s relationships, respect and love 💖.

    A very truthful song!
Very few have the balls to "speak the truth"- Prince did +, sadly, songs like this + BALTIMORE where, at the rally for Freddy Grey + in interviews everywhere, his message was
"the system is really broken + it's up to the younger generation to fix things"!
The rally was supposed to be a peace rally but after Prince's concerts the riots broke out demanding justice for Freddy Grey + another young man in the area who died while in police custody.
Prince always was the first spokesperson to push for taking the recording studio out of the equation.
His message was, for all musicians, you make the music- if you can get it to the fans without the recording studio - then do it.
    That's when Tidal started.
He was a real threat to the Illuminati, the elite, ...+ the major recording studio's-by enlightening + leading the people to take back their power.
He had his whole recording studio in his mansion, PAISLEY PARK, + for most of his music he alone kept the money from his music. He proved it could be done.
We lost not only a great musician but a great mind who knew the system + was ready to lead the people to take back their power from the elite + big business.
Thanks for the music + sacrificing your life in an effort to improve conditions for mankind! R.I.P PRINCE💐
