What's crazy about Prince is everyone knows he plays guitar, but he can't justifiably be categorized as a guitar player. Hearing him play without a band, on an acoustic, there's no denying his acumen, and adroitness is on par with top tier guitarists. Unequivocally, the man was an exceptional guitar player, it's just his chops were that tight on several instruments. His understanding of each was based on their respective foundations, and specialized techniques. So if he's on keys, he's not a guitar player on keys, he's the flippin'' piano man. And still, this falls short of describing his musicianship, because he was also able to compose unique parts for each of these instruments, from their unique perspectives, all at the same time, which made him a beast in the studio. When he'd take it on the road, he was also able to lead other musicians to hit all his subtle nuances on their instruments while he's playing guitar. It’s so sad that the guy who was with the people who found Prince dead in the elevator who has a Suboxone got there a day too late
@@stevescontriano860 just mind blowingly horrific and tragic to this very day. A huge loss…
I loved Prince and the Revolution, kick ass music but Prince is not a good acoustic guitar player, get real.
He's Such a Comedian and Serious with playing the Guitar Love it😍🎸💜
Brought a tear to my eye. Thank you.
He had his share of good riffs, but he was a star because of his great talent as an entertainer. I’ve not been a pop music fan, but definitely like his music. RIP.
Genius.🤘👌
Just one of the best ever in the musicians ever
One talented dude he was. RIP
Prince was such a underrated guitarist, he was on of the best
Yet another soul lost to drugs (Fentanyl as I recall). Never a huge fan of his style, but as a musician, was always in awe of his versatility and multi-instramental prowess.
Fentanyl care of the good ole US government
@@josephwanjiku6853 Yes, along with a host of other wonderful contributions: men competing in womens' sport; divisive race/gender ideologies taught in schools; vast increases in crime rates (decreases in punishments) and drugged out tent cities everywhere; unmanaged immigration and all the problems that brings etc.
You guys certainly have some great leadership. /s Not great here either (Aus) but looks like we're giving them a ticket out at the next elections. Fingers crossed... Good luck to you Yankees too! Cheers - Dave
Wats even worse than Fentanyl?... Warner Bros wanting rights over all ur music. That's more deadly than Fentanyl
Soooo talented..crazy talent from this small dude!!
Always wished he wouldve done a heavy guitar rock album. He was so good.
he has some and shreds! it was never released by labels but he released it
Probably has a few in his vault.
nothing compares to prince ,especially these days.he was a fantastic singer and musician.
so much talent ❤
Fantastic Prince.
I love acoustic guitar much more than electric and I love his playing.
His talent was impeccable! Everything he did was perfectly performed. What a loss 🙏
So special and gifted.
What a legend❤ RIP Pronce
Such a tremendous talent. Such a tragedy.
He was one of the best guitarists- there were not very many popular guitarists better for me Prince was top ten guitarist and he did everything else aswell
Pure artistry
Prince, Awesome guitar player, Awesome performer!
There is just not enough of this out there. I miss him so.
I had never seen this before today!!
Amazing how well he transitioned into acoustic!
(Which is unfortunately often poorly done by others)
Most people dont realize what a virtuoso and master guitar player this man was.
You've got to be kidding, right?
?? I think they do!
He was good guitarist nothing more
If you are a musician you absolutely know.
A true one off and always remembered!
So smooth.
So glad I was fortunate to see the musicology tour when he came to Birmingham Alabama he did a lot of acoustic guitar playing getting the audience involved one of the best concerts I ever been too it was the only prince show I ever saw live I missed all the others this one made up for all of them Rip legend 🙏 💜
His bass playing was outrageously awesome too.
Very talented musician. This guy was for real.
A great artist
Deus leva sempre os melhores ! 🙏🏼 Génio 🇵🇹
Prince avait un énorme talent. Il me manque beaucoup!😢😢
Je ne suis pas un grand connaisseur de Prince, je n'ai pas écouté toute sa discographie, mais oui, il avait un talent incroyable et quelques uns de ses morceaux sont des références pour moi !
Prince super bowl performance, burned into d brain. Don’t even remember d teams that played. But I remember that performance. . Rip celestial who walked among us for to short a while.
Incredible talent
Saw him on his 2007 tour....still ranks as the best ever.
I never really cared much about Prince and thought of him as just another 80s star, until I worked for him as a stage hand in 2000. I've met many artists, from Paul McCartney over Beyonce (well, Destiny's Child then) to Michael Jackson, but no-one impressed me like Prince. He blew me away. It was Jimi Hendrix reincarnate. I'm a fan ever since.
He seems like a real smooth cat in this video man! Glad you got to meat those folks!
try meet lol
Crazy how you were not able to tell from his music.
@@mattmorris2867 LOL! Yah Meet is what I meant. Too big a hurry I reckon!
So cool you got to be there, I never got the chance to see him live, was totally my bad! 😢
I am really glad to have lived through the era when Prince made some very good music. The little guy was SO damn talented!
One of the greatest!
