I have a tester of Eros EDT and Eros Flame. I wore Eros EDT today and it smelled pretty nice, but it didn't blow my mind. By the early afternoon I couldn't even smell it anymore. I put on Flame and I can still smell it 9 hours later. Flame is insane and it smells absolutely incredible. I'm intrigued by Eros EDP, but, for me, I think I'm going to stick with Flame.

I have a bottle from 2018 of the original and it's a beast. Perhaps it was one the last not reformulated batches but if not, then the older batches must be too much. My bottle is almost empty for a while now and I might get the EDP.

I get annoyed when an EDP is a different fragrance from the EDT. Flankers are one thing, but parfum and eau de toilette should really just be different concentrations of the same fragrance...
Completly agree. The result should be a longer lasting version of EDT as well.
the differences would be to minor if it would be the same formulation. EDT -> parfum, yes you would notice the difference but not with edt->edp. You have a % range on the concentrations. And designers are mostly on the upper end of the EDT % range. So basicly when you only put 1% more parfum oil in an EDT you would have an EDP on die lower % range.
That's strange. While I agree with your statement, you have a lot of ppl that will complain about an EDP fragrance being redundant if it's too similar to it's predecessor

Thank you for addressing Eros EDT not having the strength it did since it’s 2016 release. I have a bottle goes on strong then disappears in 15 min.... that’s being generous Great info and review!

I wanted a different color bottle. I have all three releases. Most people think two are the same thing. A purple bottle would have been nice .... or a dark green bottle!

I'm that person that Loves the Eros DNA. Idc if ppl don't, it just does it for me. I own the edt, I WILL be getting the EDP (although I feel a bit impatient to wait for it to hit discounters) & I plan on getting Flame to complete the collection

Very first bottle of any type of Versace, Eros Parfum is one of the Best.
Eros edt is my 11 year old son’s signature scent. OG is beast mode. Guess we’ll have to go with edp now.
i absolutely love this stuff!!! this is the best of all the Eros variety. candy apple vs sour apple... no tonka bean... but still lots of Ambroxan. im not the biggest fan of the opening, its not bad or anything just not my fav ever either... but the drydown is sublime and lasts forever... like a day and a shower later and i can still smell it on my wrist... i really really love this stuff... i wear it to work, i just go super light with just a spritz on each wrist and i can smell it all day, not overpowering of cloying, just a nice little "oh thats nice" haha
I literally went today to buy. Did a smell test on both, but the edp cane out swinging leaving the edt falling flat. EDP had the punch I've been looking for.👌🏽
to confirm a point brought up, I recently bought a new bottle of eros EDT and I find that after 30 minutes, it's so faint that only i can smell it. love the scent of this, but the EDT reform really mellowed it out after the top notes dissipate
I have 19 batch and its the same for me
I'm coming back since I've had a long time to wear all of these Eros fragrances. I was caught up in the new EDP and the parfum releases. I prefer the EDP over the parfum because it is more linear. They both dry down very similarly.
The surprise was going back to Flame after a while. I kind of left it on the shelf for a few months, but when I went back to it, it wowed! Flame deserves a lot of appreciation. I really enjoy its citrus opening, longevity, and linear performance.
Having said this, I have one of each open and 2 sealed boxes of each waiting in cool, dark storage for service. My wife loves all of them.

I just got the edt of versace Eros, and that stuff is long lasting. I sprayed it on at 8pm, and 1130am, next day, I can still smell it.

@@yeshuasfragrantlife1262 nice, the reason I ask is some say the newer bottles don’t last at all compared to older ones, I recently bought the EDP but it smells slightly different than the EDT.
@@humbertogutierrez9300 yeah. The newer edp flanker is supposed to be for more mature guys, in their smell. More smooth and fuller, like most edp's.

I got Eros Flame as my replacement for the Eros EDT. I love it. Now I'm debating if I should get the EDP. Just not sure if I need 2 of them now.
Its a tough one, cause Flame is unique and has that nice opening over eros, but the drydown are near identical

@@kakuja1396 I get beast-mode performance with Eros Flame. One spray on my neck, one on my shirt and I get 10-12 hours of performance. Definitely try it out.
The dry down of Versace EDP smells exactly like YSL L’Homme LE Parfum and I love both of them
EDT is a beast in winters.. cool breeze touching your hair and this smell wow
I think it got reformulated for the better my roommate use to wear the vintage stuff and one spray would choke out the room, he would wear no less than 7 lol

Eros is just so heavy on my skin its so overpowering even tho it smells great. I find myself wearing AHSEE a lot these days.

Well, after my tiny sample of Eros EDT, and a bunch of research and reviews, I decided to order a bottle of Eros EDP instead of the EDT. Looking forward to it!

The reformulation on EDT really destroyed it. Longevity is less than 5 hours with very poor projection.
I broke my old bottle a few years ago and just bought a new bottle. I can tell you nothing has changed in power or smell. I can still smell it quite a bit on my clothes the next day.

Tried out the Eros EDT against the EDP in the Store, for me the EDT was gone after like 4-6 Houres, after 8 Houres i went to the gym & edp was still there after my shower (had to get near to smell ofc but still there) so i just bought edp 😄
the EDT still there maybe but your nose cant smell it anymore because the richer scent of EDP dominate so then you just smell EDP

So this one is also a loud beast mode also like edt but still there is something on edt that very bright sweetness that almost all girls like or love it so much.

It’s nice. Imo it’s 99% the same as the original. Lasts a little longer than the OG. Got a tiny little kick of something that’s just a little bit different the first hour, but outside of that it’s the original on steroids.

You're going to flipout when you compare the old Eros with the post reformulation, because it's kinda like a completely different fragrance.
I got a new one (I’m relatively new to fragrances so I’ve never smelled the old one) it’s strong but it’s no that “beast mode” kind of strength people talk about. But I also don’t get beast mode with CDNIM or almost anything so it may be my skin chemistry
@@johnmoler5613 Nah i have a 2019 version of CDNIM made in France and it has garbage performance. Pretty sure you just got unlucky with getting a reformulated one.

@@DaTrixL96 My CDNIM also has weak performance. Got both it and Eros, and I kid you not, I took a shower and could still smell the Eros EDT on my wrist. It is ridiculous how strong it is.

I have A New Bottle of the edt and its strong and i can tell i had A old batch before and maybe it is A lil bit less but nothing to talk about on me the new one last 8-10 hours
I have a reformulated EDT....8 hours lasting....and comments after 4 hours...so no complaints on performance...😁

it does last longer than the edt current formulation, but i’ve tested the edp a couple times and it’s not projecting so well which i’ve heard from other people too, but then again others say otherwise
@Jose Nunez exactly man, projection isn’t the best but it’s lasting days and even after i showered it was still on my skin but i wished it projected more

You never layer colognes. Never.
Have it, used it and 80% of the time I feel like the EdT is stronger, longer lasting.
To me, after 2nd bottle is a disappointment. Exactly like Y Parfum. No consistency, no sillage.

I bought mine online from Macy’s. I just got it today and it smells amazing. I smelled the original EDT in a store once and I liked it but never got it and then the EDP released and so I bought it.

I work for a fragrance store and personally I dont like the EDP. Reasons being...
The EDT has a sweet apple note to it, the EDP just smells of fresh mint. For some reason the EDP does not last as long as the EDT.

I gotta say. The reformulated eros edt is way weaker with performance and longevity than it used to be. I was disappointed when I've decided to buy it again. Used to be my secret weapon

Go light on the trigger 2-3 sprays max and that’s an hour before you head out otherwise you’ll choke people as Eros can be very cloying in the heat

Every person's interaction with a cologne is a chemistry experiment. The cologne might project better or worse on you than on the person next to you. It might last longer or not as long on you as well. Don't stress on specifics because you don't know if any given value is true for you until you try it.
