    I’m 45 and I have the EDT which I think is amazing, it’s my favorite scent, I don’t care if people say it’s for younger guys or that it’s a clubbing scent, It makes me smile and that’s what matters.

    I have always wondered why certain vanilla-based fragrances start out a bit soft and then become more expansive and present the longer it is on skin. Your breakdown of vanillin and viscosity answered that question. That is why I love your reviews. No other reviewer provides that level of information.

      @@AaronTerenceHughes The way you paint pictures through example is definitely helpful. But also, as a perfumer, you are one of the only reviewers who has actually handled these raw materials. You know the chemistry and how these raw materials behave in a way that no other reviewer does. That is why I always learn something new by watching your reviews.

      I think it’s because vanilla or vanillin is known to “bloom” in fragrances overtime, meaning the aroma molecules diffuse off or something like that. It’s one material you have to be be careful with and if you’re creating a fragrance yourself using vanilla, you want to use less than what you think you need.

    Great review and very accurate. I own the 200ml EDT version and love it. Went in to John Lewis the other day and tried about 15 fragrances. Saw the EDP version of Eros and sampled it. Initially I though why bother trying it you own the EDT already. A pointless exercise. How wrong I was! For me it stood head and shoulders above all the rest I tried that day. In another league altogether. WOW even more potent and even more of the attributes I love on the original Eros. I've just ordered 200ml of the EDP one. I'm 41 but refuse to act my age LOL. 🤣🤣🤣💪🍾

    Your aesthetic and presentation is ace! Love the way you describe the scent. First time watching and immediately subbed.
    I bought the Eros edp as my first venture into the designers, never owned the edt but smelled it at the mall, loved it and really wanted it eventually so I blind bought the edp the moment it was released since I had the money in the moment. No regrets, it's definitely smoother and the sweetness is reigned in a tad in comparison, but I find that a good thing as it makes it much more versatile than the sharper, louder edt. That and I hear things about reformulations of the edt so I opted for the edp.
    The Eros DNA is incredible to me, really want to snag a bottle of Flame as well eventually.

Can you please create a video based on certain fragrances and their appropriate age gap. Nobody has done a video like that yet. Say you take 5 fragrances and tell the viewers which ages are actually appropriate for each men's fragrance.

      I'm with you. I mean, ultimately, anyone can wear whatever they want but there are many fragrances, Eros is one, that I think smell great but I would never wear them. It might be about age; it might be about style. I, too, am 50 and learning that I certainly lean more towards tame barbershop fragrances (where the oakmoss isnt turned up to 10); clean, masculine, classic, subtle.

    Aaron is always spot on. Seriously! Eros lasts pretty long, with 'average' projection. And smells very good, especially for a 'non-refined nose' like mine.
    An old friend of mine is into fragrances, mostly expensive niche scents, but once he wore Eros to a party we were invited to. I was blown away honestly and thought it was again one of his expensive fragrances. I was surprised that it was a designer fragrance that can be bought fo €50. I bought it and really like to wear it, but most importantly my wife loves it even more.
    And yes, Eros is not only for young men. I'm a 34 yr old family man and don't feel that this fragrance is not suited for my age and style.

    I like it well enough, but gave it to my nephew. The opening is nice but I dislike the dry down. Reminds me of church ladies when they congregate at the end of mass and all the different perfumes mix in the air. I wish it was little more linear so it remained closer to the opening.

    Hey Aaaron! Would you ever do your top fragrances for certain occasions or seasons or would you stick with making reviews? If you would do some top lists, them hopefully with a mix of some cheaper below 100$ designers, and some niche favourites.

      The EDT will project more, the EDP is a little bit richer and deeper but it still mostly smells the same.

    I know someone at work that wears this and it fills the whole building with the scent. Even when that person is on lunch the scent stays there and is beautiful! It's interesting to hear on a review that its not projecting massively (apologies if I've mis-interpreted the review of course) I have tried this one and funnily enough when I wore it myself I didn't think it was that powerful! Perhaps there's an EDT version of this that is more beast mode!?

    I wasn’t a fan of the EDT due to the powdery dry down. I can’t seem to stand powdery stuff. Does this remove that?

    • @dard4642
      @dard4642 3 года назад +1

      That powdery texture works with some things and with some things it just absolutely does not work. One of my favorite fragrances from the early '90s got reformulated and they added a powdery texture to it. I can't even wear the new one.

    Love your videos dude. Does anyobody know whether the current Eros EDT batch or the EDP lasts longer?

    • @47pawspa
      @47pawspa 3 года назад +2

      I can tell you right now that the EDP does in fact last longer than the EDT. This is off my skin personally. For the first hour or two, the EDT is louder, more brash and in your face. The EDP is more refined; it's just as loud, but not as harsh. It's more inviting. EDP= 12hour fragrance. EDT= 6-7hour fragrance.

    • @unscripted3209
      @unscripted3209 3 года назад

      @@47pawspa Great thanks. Longer lasting and more inviting sounds good, I'll give it a try.
