Brilliantly done ✅ it’s funny how we didn’t want rail and now it’s returning 😊 Fantastic 👍🏻 Hopefully this line will be successful and more will happen 🤔 Maybe one into the north of Ireland too 👍🏻
As Usual Dronehawk, work of outstanding quality, visually impressive, seamlessly edited with a excellent soundtrack. Obviously this is a significant economic project for Limerick which appears to be making rapid progress. Thanks to your work, others can have an opportunity to view and follow this .....many, many thanks. Stay well. Eamonn
It is amazing how much work has been done and with drone footage it gives another perspective compared to just still photography. Please continue your recording, much appreciated!
What looks like one long continuous shot is made up of many short flights from many different locations. My drone could fly about 5km away from me in the countryside and 2km in urban areas , but by law your not supposed to fly it further than you can see it .
Its awesome to see a railway get rebuilt for once in new zealand lots of rail was ripped out because the track and permanent way needed massive reconstruction and was deemed not financially viable (decreased traffic freight etc ) this is the way of the future very cool
Great stuff. It''ll be nice to walk (or fly) the railway route which now resembles a greenway for a while until the first trains come along. So why is it OK to walk on a footpath (or no footpath at all) beside an active busy road with all sorts of drivers?... but if a greenway is proposed to run beside an active freight railway the "health and safely" folks go batshit crazy. I say this because this would be one of the easiest ways to complete the North Kerry to Limerick city Greenway on the Ballingrane to Limerick section. Also, shouldn't the people who live beside the railway be delighted that a railway is being reborn and not be complaining...privacy my arse. The railway was there long before they were.
I would hope the signal box will be preserved , and the station building, but the old timber carriage shed will be torn down . It probably won't be rebuilt either as the line is being rebuilt for freight traffic rather than passenger traffic. It is amazing how the signal box survived in such pristine condition for so many years without falling prey to vandals .
Yes freight only , don't know what freight , is it container traffic ? Grain , coal , molasses? . They'll probably trial a limited passenger service . All depends on demand. Time will tell .
What freight will it carry, maybe mineral traffic from mining in the future from East Limerick area. Containers were tried before in foynes but not enough traffic for the ship. Coal, no, grain no.
This is absolutely brilliant! I assume it’s speeded up because I’ve not known of a drone that can go that fast and at such low level. When is the Foynes line going to reopen? Any ideas?

Fantastic documenting of the redevelopment of a strategic rail line. Great to see the original infrastructure still in place. Robertstown Viaduct.👏👏☘
This will be great when it’s finished!

Agree 100% but with new government this is very unlikely here in NZ
Brilliant😊
Great footage. Your drone has phenominal RF range.

This Country isn't known for its joined up thinking
Well one would think a good fence between the path and the active train track would do the trick.
Thank goodness they never made the track for cycling & paved over ! Like they did \done Scotland
There's plenty of railways lost to the cycling brigade here too
Do we know if the railway station and signal box are going to be saved?

Great job will this be for freight only ? where will it stop in Limerick and is it just for the one company to use

@@dronehawkI'm nearly 100 percent sure it's tired for the cement factory as that's what there burnu g down there

Sometime mid 2025
It’s brilliant footage. Well done .
I may upload some of mine in the future. What model are you flying with?
Mavic 3 pro & mini pro
@@dronehawk Nice. I have the mini myself.
Will this line ever reopen again
That's the plan . Freight only though
