Another brilliant video, I'm in the process of filling out a UF101 to try and get permission to fly the last stretch up to the check cabin and to get some photos of the depot.
Will the Foynes line ever see passenger traffic again? I do hope this project marks a resurgence in rail freight in Ireland.
Great to see something being brought back to life god bless my beautiful country god bless Ireland 🇮🇪 🙏 keep safe 🙏 😊
Great footage starting to take shape now thanks for update
Hi 👋🏻 loved the before and after intro 😊 Great progress 👍🏻 I really hope this project is a raging success and more rail can be brought back 👍🏻🏴
Walked across the bridge last Sunday. Only a few metres of road surface unfinished on the Ballina/Tipperary side. A very nice job. Did I mention that i passed under the bridge in a boat last October? 😎
This is brilliant, we're getting a lot more closer to returning the railway line to life! Thanks mate
Super before and after shots, thanks again for bringing this to us all 👏👏👍
The Past, Present and the Future brought together in cinematic mastery.
I admit that I have always loved trains, especially like watching formerly abandoned railways come back to life. While I’m not a Native of Ireland, I’m a descendant of Ireland. It’s especially nice seeing the Irish railways being reborn.
Once again from NZ. A beautiful bridge, some great new infrastructure and, as usual, excellent videography from Drone Hawke.
Excellent as Always. Many thanks,.
Wow, what a difference that road in from Birdhill makes from what it used to be with the humpback bridge ! The whole development is looking great. Thanks for the video.
Great work going on there. Thanks for the great drone footage of the new bridge. 😮👍😊
Thanks for the update!
Great video. The drone must have been a bit worried with some of those tight angles and approaches.
The bridge looks great. Nice touch to include some in car footage on the road from Birdhill too. And as always, excellent drone work
Too many homes along roadside to show from the air . Don't want to upset the locals ! so used go pro on car for the road section
How many billion did this cost?
Shock horror , infrastructure projects costs money. Budget was 45 million. The area only had to wait 30+ years for it.
@liamjohnhawkins4212 I note you said the budget was 45 million, that frightens me, do you know if it came in on budget? The original budget for the children's hospital was 400 million,It's at 3 billion now and no sign of a finish🤑🤑🤑🤑
The bridge looks beautiful !!
Eyesore.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Showpiece 😊
Lovely looking bridge in fairness. Smashing video
Much appreciated, as ever 🥇. Furthermore, the local authorities and construction companies - involved in spending our present, (and future 😒), € taxes....seriously need to employ yours - and similar services for their own, (ponderous, out of date), websites. It is horrendous torture going through their mazes to only end up in confusing cul de sacs viewing seriously out of date project timelines 😶. Maith thu, a chara......32 ☘️🇮🇪
Superb !! Thank you 👏👏
Some powerful seas there crikeys
Brilliant 👏
👌
Brilliant drone work and well done Ireland
That's a really elegant bridge. Nice drone work as well, thanks for the video.
Great video and what a smashing looking bridge. Delighted with that bike lane all the way from Birdhill too .
Excellent. Incredible what damage the sea can do.
I did same several tomes: from China to Euripe,; from Italy to South Africa and so on... Nothing special.
Great video, great quality, I would have imagined a lot more damage, thanks very much 👍👍
Great work. How often will you be doing these videos on this bypass?
Every two - three months hopefully
Que pena se ven joyas irrepetibles
Amazing videography as usual my friend! Congratulations and many thanks…I’m looking forward to seeing the first train venture towards Foynes from Limerick. Best wishes from Rob in Dorset.
What do you call a Kerryman with squinty eyes? The Jap of Dunloe.
And after Éowyn? Really curious to know if there's been a change!
I'll might pop down this week, curious myself.
Most of the rail line to dungarvan is gone is it ? Threw towns like capoquinn and lismore etc?
Yes ,like Mallow to Fermoy. If I get time this year, I'll cover the rest of the line
@dronehawk pity they got rid of all them years ago
Nice to see works on the railway going on. However, what do you mean by "Upgrading project"? More lines or just replacing metal?
Making the entire line double track
@@dronehawkand I thought it was already double tracked, how am I so stupid to see that it wasn't?
Very nice video. Sad to see her go.
Some yoke
Why have they got a double crossing @1:12?
Well spotted , I asked the same question. Apparently, the plan is to eventually double track all the way to the Robertson Viaduct . There are also plans for a spur from just after Robertstown viaduct over to the Foynes docks but as to when these works will begin is unknown
@@dronehawk Interesting, and if you notice there is only one crossing at Ballingrane, where I thought they would put a double crossing.
Interesting and well-made. A map would have helped those less familiar with area.
Should put tracks upon it far more important for train service
Thanks for your up-date videos Dronehawk! I’m looking forward to watching your videos of the first trains using the newly-refurbished Foynes branch too! Seeing the Alta slowly disintegrate over the past five years I often think about what would have happened if the same situation had taken place on the Welsh or English coast….and to be quite frank (bearing in mind the dispute in ownership and how the owners can ‘hide’ their identity) I think it would have led to exactly the same situation. Our Governments have other priorities…but I’m sure if she had been an oil tanker posing a pollution risk…action to protect the coast would have been immediate. Regards from Rob in Bournemouth, Dorset.
Remaining cargo of oil was removed when it crashed to prevent pollution, but the ship itself was seen as less of a priority.
VLOS ? is this flight legal ?
Course it is. It's made of of many short flights stitched together. I fly 500m in both directions of take off point giving me a 1km video clip.
Signal box had a pot belly stove in it and the y Junction before you enter station was for the locomotives to veer into the sheds if needed another one up at the cash and carry on Carraige road served my apprenticeship as a Mechanic with them 1980’s some of the men are dead and gone now it will get busy again some day. Thank you for your video.
Where is the fork lift gone? I was on that years ago when the ship was in one piece and had it running, but their was absolutely no way of getting it off the ship, rip alto
It's gone out with the tide. It fell into the sea when the sea facing wall collapsed.
@ cheers for replying, a lot wouldn’t bother👍
