Great video. I just bought the same machine. I am to the point of hooking up the 2.2kw spindle. Question are there steel t tracks available? My very first router was a 6040 and the t tracks would bend with pressure. The only ones I see are aluminum anodized t track.
Question. Youve been a big help figuring out my onefinity purchase. I want to get the same Kreg stand but I’m confused on how to run the stringers. Are the stringers sitting slightly above the Kreg channels on the top or flush with the Kreg channels? And how did you screw the 3/4 ply to the stringers. Did you mount the ply to the Kreg stringers as well ?
I notch them so they sit flush with the top of the metal channels. Then screw the plywood down to the 2x4. You can add a screw to the bottom of the channel into the 2x4 as well
Forgot to ask how much clearance is there from the bottom shelf to the top shelf? Is there enough space to enclose a standard size shop vac? That was the plan. Lol. (Should’ve researched first). Lol

You said the foot print is 60" wide, but I don't think you included the motor. How much is it when including the motor for those that want to build an enclosure?
I just measured the motor is 3” and the cables stick off about an inch so if you were to enclose it 65 would fit but it would be snug. It also depends what you are doing with the cables on the left side of the machine a drag chain will also add a few inches so I’d guess 66-68” would be about perfect
I’m putting my machine together now and I built the table the same way y’all did but I’m getting some rocking from my y rails. It’s very slight but I’m not sure if it’s from the rails them selves or my table not being dead level? Did you have any movement before screwing your rails down?
Did you tighten all the bolts down before it was on the ground? Possibly loosen them then retighten the leg bolts. Also I’ve seen the rails twist before you can check the Onefinity forum you can loosen some bolts to fix it I believe
So take my table top off and loosen all the leg bolts with table standing upright? When I put it together I tightened everything while it was still upside down then flipped it over onto its feet. Also I really appreciate y’all’s quick response to questions or comments on the subject. That’s the type of thing that keeps me subscriber to a channel.

Thanks. Too bad Kreg does not make a cross member in between the 28” and 44”. I’m thinking of overhanging the bench top enough to give some work space for vertical clamping and cutting; sort of like what the Shaper Origin work station allows. I would probably indent the front work area about 6” and use the Kreg bench to attach a T-slot clamping area on the face. This would allow joinery work to be done. I hope that made some sense? Feel free to add any thoughts to this idea…

Hey! I wouldn’t sell my machine to get it, if I didn’t own a machine and I could afford the extra cost I would probably buy it. But definitely not needed my journeyman does everything I ask of it
what was the dimensions of the CNC width, including the spindle motor? I have the journeyman in boxes in my garage, and I am building a table for it. I got it pegged at 64" approx., I'm planning for 66", gonna make the table 68"... So my overall dimensions I am planning for are 45" deep, 66" wide, 17" tall (probably gonna plan for it to be 20") Plan is to build a outfeed table that the top portion lifts up like a car hood. The bottom layer hosts the CNC. Small shop troubles lol.
great video...whats your take on the caster wheels on the bench? There are some die hard CNC guys that say even if they are locked, it allows for micro movements possibly causing the machine not to cut 100% accurate. Any truth to that? or can that Kreg bench handle retractable casters?
There is a tiny rock to the machine but for what I do it honestly doesn’t matter. It’s not like it’s throwing the carve way out a whack. Unless you are doing intense 3d carve or need extreme accuracy I don’t think it’s relevant. You could definitely bolt those work bench wheels to it as long as the weight load is correct per your wheel choice.
@@calebsanz9826 you bet! thanks for watching! Honestly most of the things the die hards nit pick about are irrelevant to 90% of cnc users. Which is totally fine for those who are super serious but just for general use I wouldn’t worry to much just get creating and fine tune from there. worst case scenario you take the wheels off.
Thanks for a quick rundown of the machine and the question/answer session. My experience is with a small Shapeoko I built and then later the larger Shapeoko (which I gave to my son), and Vectric software. Want to get a large machine again. 1)What size are the stepper motors? 2)Do you think the rigidity of this machine is as good as or better than a next wave 520 with the mdf base? I was thinking of getting the 520 but too expensive , ain't happening this year. 3)Does it have a homing function (x,y,z limit switches)? 4)Do you think the screws are better than belts? 5)Where is it made? 6)I don't do facebook. Is there another site specialized for these machines? Thanks.
I sorta hate to ask but, any chance you could tell me what the distance between the front legs are on that kreg stand you have? I think you have the 66 x 44 stand, and I'm ordering the same, but I'm trying to plan out storage underneath....so for the sake of door clearance, I'm wondering what that distance is. My guess is 62" :)
Hey Jeff, Was there a reason you didnt use MDF for your top? Weight of the MDF? I just recieved the Journeyman upgrade yesterday and bought the same Kreg bench. Thanks!
Kind of. If technology isn’t really your think you’ll probably struggle for a while. It’s definitely not as easy as it looks. I use vectric v carve pro and easel
Doesn't need to be perfect??? This is the part I don't understand about about the Onefinity..... No it doesn't HAVE to be perfect but any deviation in the mounting points will throw the coplanar of the Y rails off and have the X and Z being unable to flatten the wasteboard consistently especially across more than 48" in the diagonal plane. I'm not being critical but if you want cnc accuracy then a dead flat base is where you begin.
I don’t need the machine to be exact. I’m not milling anything to any exact parameters. I cut out shapes, engrave items, and make catch all trays. I barley trammed the machine and it does everything I need it to. I’m not milling aluminum or doing any 4 hour 3D carves. It’s a hobbyist machine, im not batching out 6000 items at .001 tolerance. People can set up machines as they wish, this is how I did it and i’m more than happy with my non “dead flat” table.
Jeff I'm sorry I didn't watch the video. Your thumbnail just put me off. I'm 76 and maybe my sense of humor has changed but trying to look sexy is not cool. Sorry
Haha okay. Im just laying on the cnc to show the size? Try to lighten up a little and not take things so seriously. It’s not like you see anything. Thanks for letting me know I guess? If this offends you, you must not explore on the internet or watch any tv.

I got it pegged at 64" approx., I'm planning for 66", gonna make the table 68"... So my overall dimensions I am planning for are 45" deep, 66" wide, 17" tall (probably gonna plan for it to be 20")
Plan is to build a outfeed table that the top portion lifts up like a car hood.

@@TwoMooseDesign I didn't expect you to respond so fast. Cheers...really appreciate the insight.
Is this the 32 48? Did you look at the Shapeoko before making this decision?
Any regrets on the Onefinity?
Thx
Jeff
sarei interessato a comprare un vostro download, ma la mia domanda è: posso replicarli con la mia cnc?
Message me on Instagram if you can then I can send photos
Hey Jeff, Was there a reason you didnt use MDF for your top? Weight of the MDF? I just recieved the Journeyman upgrade yesterday and bought the same Kreg bench. Thanks!
Hey! no real reason I just prefer the look and if you are screwing into it the plywood holds screws far better than mdf.
@Two Moose Design could you get by with no 2x4s under the table? Just a sheet of plywood sitting on top of the Kreg frame?
Doesn’t look like the legs are the correct one that is listed?
Fixed it! they must of been out of stock when i originally posted the video 🤷🏼♂️
Great video! Will the Journeyman fit on a 60" x 48" by chance? I know you mention the footprint is 60" and my surface is 60". Just wanted to make sure
It will but it will be tight and the motor and wires will over hang the 60”
Do you have to be Nerdy or be a Big PC guy to understand the software to run that machine ?
And what software do you like or use.
Kind of. If technology isn’t really your think you’ll probably struggle for a while. It’s definitely not as easy as it looks. I use vectric v carve pro and easel

hello! From Wisconsin 😁
That thumb nail though!
😆😆
Please send me purchased link
Price this machine please
If only you had a machine with a v-bit in it that could of cut a tiny outline and lines for the t-tracks
Price this please
I wanted to get myself one buuuut wasnt gonna pay 1300 Au to ship it to australia :(
Ouch! 😬

What bit are you using? Is that a bowl bit?
CNC machine is more plug and pray if you have no idea and not willing to research and ask for advice.
@@TwoMooseDesign Fifty years ago there would have been a female teenage model laid across the table with nothing but an apron on, and this "flatlander" would have bought the unit strictly based on the quality marketing... I think as long as you don't repeat this same thumbnail wearing a kilt you should be safe from offending most people.
