YES, a whole series on "Sushi in the Woods." AND I'm really looking forward to an Oregon movie. Hopefully LOTS of foraging, fishing, etc.
Man Taku, you and Jocelyn are living the life! What a beautiful spot! Great vid.
Living the dream!
My girlfriend and I always watch your videos every Tuesday and it's a big inspiration for us to do more outdoor activities like mushroom foraging and camping. Little by little, but hopefully we get to the same level as you and Jocelyn. Keep it up🙏🏽
First to see the Oregon movie next week
Same exact situation my me and my girlfriend.
All of my girlfriends love to watch this
@@goodguy7000 😳
Taku Tuesdays
So sick! Despite the weather, another masterpiece. And hell yes to sushi in the woods
The hail was actually much more preferable than rain. Didn't get wet, just got hit by tiny ice😂
@@OutdoorChefLife to be honest these wood river videos are my favorite kind of videos to watch 👍
I was just thinking, “wonder when Outdoor Chef Life will have a new video?”…so glad to see you guys!!
Every Tuesday for TakuTuesday!
With ocassional TakuSundays
@@OutdoorChefLife for me is Wednesday lol
19 minutes of pure tranquility. It's these moments of the day where I can truly relax and enjoy both great cinematography as well as inspirational cooking techniques. Thank you, from a fellow fisherman in NY.
Dude that was some world class Brown Trout fishing right there 🔥
All on the bullet lure!!🤙
THE BULLET LURE!!
Where can I order one!?! (This part of the river is closed until May 22nd BTW)
easy to catch fish on a closed river!
@@jalenator4347 how do you know its closed ? also he was fishing a barbed treble hook and i know in WA thats a big no no. i don't know about OR?
Taku and Jocelyn are the only people ive known to do a mushroom forage, a woodland sushi cook, and invasive species cooking series all in one channel. There is no stopping this super Duo!!! Skies the limit for these two i swear.
Definitely need another Oregon movie or Series. You need to try Big Lava Lake for crystal clear waters and amazing trout fishing.
Taku... lol I love how you don't clip out your bloopers! Makes for good laughs, especially when you with the homies... landmarks moments that are unforgettable. Great video as always!
Been watching you guys for a while Taku & Jocelyn! Never miss an episode, I love your content and brings me such joy to see you guys enjoy the outdoors! Makes you want to live life to the fullest with what’s been going on in the world.
If that’s the deschutes river it’s closed all winter for fishing
You might wanna talk to fish and wildlife before someone calls them about the area you were fishing but I leave that up to you
Beautiful river with such prestine water. Catching fish is a bonus!
Your van build out was a great decision. Love these Tuesdays, and food looks amazing as usual.
I love these videos man, I'm a young chef from Australia who loves fishing. these videos feed my fishing addiction.
Beautiful river. Beautiful fish. What a combo.
Love that you did that so respectfully and humanely.
Taku, don't know if you'll see this or not, but the sound of the rapids in the background brought me back to my childhood in the PNW. Damn near teared up. I've been a long time subscriber and you've influenced me a lot to get back to my roots. Genuinely, thank you.
Once again, so calming. Sushi looks so pretty and yummy!
I really don't know why but I found the sounds of the tarp and the wind so relaxing while you were preparing the meal.
Thanks for another awesome video Jos and Taku!!!! Man, trout meat totally looks like salmon with that nice vibrant orange color!
Look forward to it all. Stay awesome!
Hell yeah I love brown trout! Can’t wait for more of the Oregon adventure 🐟🎣
It is easy to catch big browns , on a closed section of a river ... I'm really hoping this is not your style , I love that river and follow the regs for there are many opportunities to catch when it's legal to do so
I have a very distinct memory of the first fish I ever enjoyed when I was a kid. It was a fresh caught rainbow trout cooked in a foil pouch with just salt, butter and lemon. I still think about how good that was from time to time.
Best videos at the perfect time🙏🏽
Drone footage with the classic music is something else!
I love Oregon, great memories
Oregon trout sushi looks so good 🗻😋🎣
What an amazing life to live.enjoy!
Well, this officially blew my mind! 🤯 My fishing adventures will never be the same. Amazing! 🤙🏼🎣
Can't wait to see some hunting videos! I think that is going to change the game for you. I have introduced many people to hunting over the years, and while not all of them have become dedicated hunters. All of them were so glad for the experience.
Thank You Taku and Jocelyn , as always Great Video
Beautiful brown trout chef! You make the simplest dish look elegant. Tight lines!
What a perfect setting.
Beautiful scenery Beautiful Fish too can't believe you release that last one after slipping into the water
Used to eat those as a kid, my mom and grandmother used to make them! Brought back good memories!
I love brown trout. They are delicious!
Those drone shots are wallpaper material! Absolutely beautiful nature and beautiful fish!
I have been catching up on so many vids! this really is one of the best fishing channels on yt!
Another excellent video. So glad I found your channel about a year ago. If more people fished and cooked like you do then I truely believe we would have more sportmen and women enjoying the great outdoors. If you ever make it to the Cariboo district of BC let me know and I will gladly show you some trophy trout lakes.
That trout was beautiful and looked delicious!! Can't wait for your upcoming series.
Every time you do your sushi cooking or any fish cooking but I just get hungry I'm learning all the little things you guys are putting on RUclips keep it up
As always. A quality video. Beautiful fish, love the ethical dispatch. Please more of these creek videos plssssss
It’s amazing to see Taku mix American fishing team techniques i.e. fly fishing rivers, spin fishing rivers, and all that. On top of that use Japanese techniques to cook/eat American fish is sooo cool. Big fan.
Sushi in the woods I LIKE IT!! Will be trying to apply whatever I watch when I go camping this summer!😎
I only just found this channel a few days ago and have watched at least 30 videos beginning to end. I love this
so clear hands for cooking! Great job man!
Your videos always brighten my day
Really loved watching this, its so relaxing. But now I'm starving!
Gorgeous presentation especially with that pine cone! 😍
Beautiful, serene and wholesome. Love what you are doing, wish you much success with your pursuit of a hunting license. It will open your mind and body to many new experiences and feelings.
Jocelyn is very talented with the camera. She definitely knows what’s she’s doing.
I could not be more excited for your upcoming film!
Beautiful scenery in the backdrop of your catch and cook. Would love to camp there.
Nice! I love brown trout, they’re really beautiful and I like how much they hit lures
My country tis of thee, sweet beautiful land of liberty.....pretty creek ...wow....oh yes ,..and nice fish too...👍🏾👍🏾😎
Awesome! We used to call that type of sushi "footballs" when I was a kid. Definitely one of the OG favorites.
My mom was born and raised in Hawaii, and she was half Hawaiian, that is what she ate and that is what I was raised on in Oxnard, Inari, just the way you made it, still my favorite sushi, nothing but rice.
Awesome glad to see you back cooking the yummy foods as always
Bring back beautiful memories of my home state. I remember hiking for a while and fishing is far off water ways just like this and catching trout. And BBQing them. I had no idea I would fall in love with sushi later but I have always loved fish.
The first time I had sushi was in middle school. On my walk home I would stop by a sushi Togo spot and would get inari and CA rolls. Brings back memories.
Never disappoints on the presentation.
A trout is worth falling in for. That looked delicious like a Japanese pita
Can't wait for all the videos you'll be putting up soon! Keep up the great work Taku!
Oregon is the dream for fishing rivers
Presentation is on point!
That sushi looks amazing!! I need to try making that!
Dope! I always watch taku when I’m eating or snacking! And I love addicted fishing! Especially steelheads! So much tips and tactics from those guys!
This was a good video in a while, always love these river side catch and cook
Love your work Taku! Enjoyed this video on my commute to work 😍
Another quality banger video. Has to be my favorite channel on RUclips.
You're fishing in a section closed Oct 31-May 22, drone shots gave it away. Obey the regs bro!
"D" chef boss, u really are one of a kind. Awesome video. Keep them coming.
Love your down to earth spirit bro, keep up the great content.
Greetings hidden beauty crew, thankful for what you brought for our enjoyment. Wish all your subscribers could experience your adventures in person, blessings again hidden Beauty big up nuff respect stay safe Brothers
I don’t even like fish and he makes everything he makes look so good and yes sushi in the woods I dig it
You are the best chef
Keep up the good work
That didn’t look much like a children’s snack after you were done with it! Amazing video and catch and cook taku. Gorgeous trout as well. That was some amazing fishing you did in that crystal clear river. I’d love to see more sushi in the woods. I’m loving it!!!
great video as always. much love
Good Work as Always! Thank you!
Technically, you could count this as another “deliciously invasive” installment since brown trout are native to Europe and were introduced to North America!
Non-native, not invasive. Big difference 👍🏻
👆🏻
@@joshtheplow mostly. They often out complete native Brook trout in rivers throughout the Midwest.
@@masonwilhelmy2613 this is Oregon not midwest, and yes non native and introduced doesn't mean invasive
@@jirredvang901 no way looks exactly like Iowa
Stoked for the Oregon video!! 👀 🤘
That first fish was cool to watch you hook so quickly. I'm glad I watched the video before commenting! Being born and raised in SW Washington I've known a surprising amount of people who are misinformed that eat raw salmon and steelhead from the rivers. I wouldn't eat cooked sturgeon either unless I was confident the fish had just left ocean waters.
This looks so good. I would love to do something like this some day.
Love your videos man, you inspire me to go out and explore the world!
Wow dude super Amazing you guys. I am super inspired to do more catch and cooks on the surf. Keep up the great work as always. Cheers 🍻
Just want to say that hunting license move is a sweet one. NICE! Looking forward to it.
Your channel and YBS is some of the best content on RUclips. Look forward to your videos. Keep killing it man!
I have 3 favorites and those are 2 of them my other is Back 2 Basics with Fran and Strick. Funny
My other two favs are YBS and Fisherman’s life 😁
Frikken love inari! Mmmmm! My favorite granny elbow is, inari, rice, mirin, furikake (always wondered why you don't utilize furikake that I've seen. Probably my favorite seasoning from Japan) smoked fish, and roe. Finish with a little splash of aloha shoyu. Frikken DELICIOUS
OMG you're getting your hunting license and doing more Invasive! I am so excited for everything you do! Love ya Outdoor and Mrs. Outdoor! Y'all rock!
Love the adventures man, definitely enjoy watching your videos.
Very enjoyable video! Always encouraging. Just an old man giving a tip, keep your rod tip up (about a 2 o'clock position) just might help you not lose the next monster. Chefs meal at the camp...Always impressed.
Amazing 👍🏻👍🏻 Love your cooking and knife skills!!
I vote yes to sushi in the woods
You're killing it
🔥 literally looks delicious
💛...footballs on the river... life is good...
For da inari!!! I usually just had inari filled with rice. I never had it with toppings. That's so cool!!! 😊
Great video. Thank you Taku.
I lived in Bend for nearly a decade, miss it a bunch, thx for the video, Cheers from Kansas.
