In addition, I do not see any reason an electric car will last less than a comparable ICE vehicle. Especially considering that electric cars have less failure prone mechanical cal assemblies as well as the fact that more and more cars are being made with smaller highly stressed turbo engines.

I toured an auto assemble plant in Japan and noticed they pride themselves in quality where as it's performance based in the states. All about the numbers in the US.

Great video and always love to see the process of building modern vehicles. These new gens of SUV's and trucks coming from the general though have many styling issues. Gorgeous interiors, but the exteriors are terrible looking. This is even coming from a GM guy. I'm hoping the updates and full redesign that will be coming in the future will address these problems and that GM will make a nice looking vehicle again someday.
Well, it's not the least... :( Cadillac has historically been a luxury brand, and at the beginning of the last century was considered to be a luxury manufacturer similar to Rolls-Royce... Unfortunately, the high cost of maintenance has remained to this day :D

The last Corvette was built in 1972, as far as I am concerned. After the early 1990's, they began to take on a Warner-Brothers cartoon look to them, such as the latest models. They've tried too hard to look "exotic" and "European." Now, they are just plain ugly and are extremely way overpriced to the max. I'll take a Shelby Cobra over a GM Corvette any day of the week. Plus, Shelby's are much more powerful than Corvettes. Higher resale value than Corvette. A fact that doesn't set too well for Corvette owners. Corvettes wreak of Aqua Velva and gold chains, mostly driven by mid-life-crisis men.

FYI......The XT5 and XT6 are compact SUV'S, as is the Acura built here. Cadillac only builds one large truck, the Escalade, which is built in Arlington, Texas.

In 2004 I started an entry level welder position in a plant in Ontario Canada. I was paid $20 an hour as the starting wage.

It's a new line, so reliability is not established yet. On the other hand, electric cars require virtually no maintenance.

i spent 38 yrs at gm this is not put together very good should follow a start to finish video not jump all over and they dont build 30000 a day
