The most humble man in any sport today. He never celebrates in anyone's face, he won't taunt you trying to draw a penalty. He just wants to see the best you show up on Sunday to try and stop the best him. An excellent example of what a role model should be today.
+Matt Vogel You don't have to worry about that. He would have to really screw up for that to happen. But based on what this man did and continues to do on the field will get him a First Class ticket into Canton, Ohio.
@@BobbMan420 Exactkyxesoeciakly rn what he stikl does rn he is a fucking monster. He beat all those monsters to win it what a legend tho too loloololol.
Barry Sanders totally can. he didnt have much of an offensive lions during his lions days and still did a lot. a lot would argue that Barry Sanders could run in any generations. Barry Sanders was just never in a Superbowl contending team, but had he been in a Superbowl contending and won a few Superbowls it could be argued he is the Greatest Player of all time he was on pace to break Walter Paytons record too but retired really young. with the way Barry ran he could easily had a 15 to 17 year career but he cut that in half. he was power bag bulldozing his way. he was smooth and made defenses miss a lot.
Tone Pro are you kidding. the game back then was mainly running the ball and he was the best at it. its only now that passing game really evolved and DBs had to keep up with WR. back then everyone was focused on stopping the run or getting to the QB. have you seen the holes Adrian Peterson has the work with. have you seen the holes Barry Sanders had to work with most people who know NFL history would easily take Barry Sanders over Adrian Peterson.
Gumball Gilbert barry sanders couldn't truck due to his size but AP could truck, dodge, and fight for yardage. barry could be taken down if enough guys stopped him from spinning out of the tackle were as AP drags defenses with him overall I would pick AP but the more fun person to watch is Barry, that is not even close.
Emmitt was a great back, but he also had alot of talent around him to help him out. He also played 15 yrs too. AP faces 8 or 9 guys in the box alot and still rips the defenses apart.
Adrian is the man the ending of his speech is amazing saying he will not be able to except the award next year because he will be going for the ultimate prize the Super Bowl amazing amazing amazing speech by an amazing player Adrian is the man.
You can see in Manning's face that he really wanted to win the award. I've only seen him calm, excited or, in rare cases, angry. But I haven't seen him look disappointed like that. Well deserved for Peterson, and I would be stunned if Manning isn't up there in the next 3 years.
this is not to write off the work of other recent winners, but peterson is, in my opinion, by FAR the most deserving MVP winner in recent memory. the vikings would have been lucky to win 4 games without him last year. to be that vital to your team's success from the running back position in today's NFL is an astonishing feat.
Thank you Adrian Peterson, for single handling winning me my first fantasy football league. If i ever see you ill hook you up with a beer for giving me bragging rights these last couple of months.
No way you can deny MVPeterson deserved it! Somehow wheeled and dealed our team into a playoff spot we didn't deserve and carried the Vikings nation all by himself. Brady, Manning, and Rodgers have won the MVP before, while I think it's ridiculous for J.J Watt to have even been considered.. this was All Day's year. Great season.
I feared that he would never be the same when he got hurt against my redskins last year because i'm a huge fan of Peterson and i'm happy for him that he came back better than ever..
Favre is a huge fan of AP that is why when he played for the Vikings on the sideline he told AP that he that "the only person that can stop you is you, im just saying that its nice to watch you than to play against you" check it up amazing how he says it
+Ryan Hardy I'm not from Michigan, I'm from Colorado, moved to Michigan. I'm highly offended from being called a band wagoner. I have loved every Colorado sports team my entire life, now quit giving people labels, even though you don't even know me.
i never screamed as loud when he won the mvp, i was so happy and he totally deserved it, i hope he gets it again next year but he wont be here to accept it, he'll be at metlife stadium winning a superbowl for minnesota! LETS GO
Brett Favre seems to have a great relationship with Leslie Fraizer and adrian peterson. Adrian Peterson was the main reason he even came out of retirement a second time to play. Favre is a gun slinger so any recievers he has shouldnt be a problem but with the running game. its over and Adrian Peterson is the best RB of his generation and could possibly be top 10 RBs of all time. and he is the most talented player ever to play with Favre according to Favre so clearly Brett just straight up loves the guy and is estatic over him. and look at how they did. made it to the NFC Championship where if it were not bounty gate roughing up Favre and that FG in OT Vikings coulda been in their 4th Superbowl in team history
kumar01234 just going to correct you on 1 thing here, the Vikings have been to 4 superbowls. almost got to 1 in 2000 but Gary Anderson missed a field goal and then yes the BULLSHIT nfc championship game in 2009.
Matt Vogel two quality Vikings teams thwarted by two current day NFC South teams lol. cant blame Gary Anderson on in 2000 cause Vikings were up 7 points. Defense collapsed and allowed the Falcons to tie. it was fine for me as a Falcons fan. but I felt your pain in 2012 when my Falcons lost the NFC Championship game
If he wins NFL MVP & Superbowl MVP next year & broke Eric Dickers 2,105 rushing yards & LT's 28 TD's it'd be the greatest season for a running back & football player point blank period.
AP is the greatest RB of all time what he did to today’s defense is unreal I wouldn’t consider Barry or Peyton that close to him. The closest would be emmit but saquon is on the rise
I'm a steeler fan and always have been but AP is my favorite player and the best player.. Since the steelers seem to be rebuilding I want the Vikings to win the Super Bowl for the simple reason that AP deserves it. I believe he can rush for over 2,000 again this year and has a good chance of beating Eric's record
A Super Bowl is possible for the Vikes next year or sometime soon if they're young guys keep developing and they add 2 or 3 more valuable pieces to the puzzle. The NFL is very unpredictable. Who would've thought they would've made the playoffs after going 3-13 the year before? SKOL VIKINGS!
Yea I'm lucky to see him week in week out:) I've gotten to see adrian (still going) and randy moss cris carter....easily top 5 in their craft....Jerry rice cris carter randy moss....dickerson sanders peterson (emmit a close 3rd).....skol vikings!! Lets end metro dome on a good note with playoffs!
J.J. Watt did deserve to be considered for it because statistically he had the greatest single season for any defensive linemen in NFL history. So it's not really ridiculous.
This is sad that a Packer fan has to tell you this but..dont sleep on Ponder..After this year sure, he has a solid WR core now, give him this full years work, also, just "Ponder" this for a second, you have the best RB in the league, maybe, just maybe, the game plan never asked Ponder to do too much? If Ponder is playing well, Ap gets less touches and yards, Viking fans didn't want that last season. So give him a chance, if its week 12 and he has 8TD 16 INTs then sure.
To me it should have been between AP and JJ Watts! One in Peterson was the offensive player of the year while Watts was the defensive player of the year. They rightfully deserved the unanimous all-pro!
he had to win it in my opinion. if peyton had won it again it would have basically told the league that there are only 32 players in contention for mvp every year.
alexander broke the TD record that year..... and he had 1800 yards... and his team was 13-3... easy win for Alexander. AP is the best RB all time... but Alexander deserved the MVP.
That would be a miracle. Unless they get a superstar QB somehow....which I would consider a miracle either way. I guess Ponder just has to step up and actually PLAY next year. I don't see that happening though, he's way too inconsistent. Which is why it will be a miracle.
As a Packer fan, I really wanted to see Rodgers win it but I'm extremely elated that Peterson won it instead. Nobody deserved it more than him. He was stellar this year.
you can make that argument for anybody. Without a offensive line that can block, no QB would ever be successful. Adrian wins it this year considering how average their passing attack was and they needed every bit of his 2000 just to make the playoffs.
If adrian peterson continues on his path the way he is. He will be just fine passing Emmitt Smith as a greater RB just for the fact that his highlights, charisma, and abilities as an RB are once in a while. There's a reason Jim Brown is considered #2 of the Top 100, compared to Emmitt Smith who is like what? Stats don't mean anything if you don't look spectacular.
sort of. It was like eating sushi. Great at the time, but 20 minutes later you're hungry again. By that i mean it was great that he was recognized for the second best season by a running back in the history (OJ had 2000 yds in 14 games. you cant beat that), but at the same time it was HUGELY disappointing the way we went out. Just my opinion.
The most humble man in any sport today. He never celebrates in anyone's face, he won't taunt you trying to draw a penalty. He just wants to see the best you show up on Sunday to try and stop the best him. An excellent example of what a role model should be today.
Peterson deserved the MVP. since he didn't get the single season rushing record he at least deserved MVP
He was only a couple yards short to
If Adrian Peterson Doesn't make it to the Hall Of Fame or else the football community will just be outraged

In the year of 2013, why the fuck is the quality so bad?
My guess is this guy was filming the TV from a separate device
I like how a running-back(not always the qb) finally gets an mvp, because there was a reason why the Vikings qb got better in that season
Mad respect for peterson dudes a beast minnesota fans so lucky they get to watch him
