    I installed the JMS Boostmax on my Ecoboost and it was definitely worth it. I'm going to stack the Peddlemax on it next to take advantage of the 5 extra lbs of boost. With just the Boostmax added, I went from a 5.2 sec 0-60 to a 4.9.

      Nice! JMS makes some good products.

      Quick question man, I have a 2016 mustang ecoboost as well and it's completely stock with a JLT intake no tune will this product work on my car? Even if I don't have a tune

  • @rcflyingfun2656
    @rcflyingfun2656 7 лет назад +3

    Yes, this product works. They only thing I don't like about it is that it makes an auto trans car shift hard on the down shifts. It does help a lot if you drag race, really helps reaction time. There Boostmax works also, adds 70 to 80 whp depending on vehicle.

    hey does the pedalmaxx increase your 0-60 time? if so how much quicker was yours with before and after? also any hp or torque gains?

    Just a simple bolt on, I like it. Nothing like adding something that doesn't need a tune!! Keep the vids coming, I just picked up my 2017 GT a few weeks ago, have watched a few of your vids already, good stuff!

    dude you are awesome im surprised this channel hasn't blown up ive been on the fence about ordering one of these for the past few months and you just sealed the deal for me can i suggest it would have been a little bit better had you shown the difference between the dial on and off but regardless keep up the awesome work your reviews are thorough and great

    Just installed mine yesterday and it is a must have. I didn't get the dial accessory so mines at 100%. My first impression of it at the first tap of the pedal wasn't and isn't like the author, but for sure you get more throttle with less input. Simply rolling into a full throttle gets you the result you want, in fact when I floored it as fast as I could, the ecu must've cut the throttle, because it was crickets for a good half second or full second it seemed. But when I rolled into wot relatively fast (just not instantly), it produced the desired effort (which never happened before). Some might argue a tune can produce the same effect but most tunes likely don't and good luck finding a tuner that will give you exactly what you want. It makes more sense to buy this for an automatic because I never have any issues while in gear (full manual mode), in full automatic mode, it makes the pcm downshift much quicker for much improved acceleration on demand.

    • @ALLCYLINDERSTV
      @ALLCYLINDERSTV  8 лет назад

      Glad you like it! It's definitely a must have.

    • @godsaveamerica2611
      @godsaveamerica2611 8 лет назад +1

      +16P51-GT this is the second performance mod I've gotten because of your video, the Lund tune being the first. Before this video, I kept dismissing the pedalmax. Every automatic owner should have this!

      Cool! Glad you found my videos useful. I agree, the PedalMax is definitely worth it.

  • @arc00ta
    @arc00ta 8 лет назад +20

    It'd be amazing if they just invented a throttle body that was connected directly to the pedal via mechanical means... say maybe a cable? Voila, instant response!

    • @guyg9441
      @guyg9441 7 лет назад +1

      hope the hard shifting isn't unbearable, I have an auto trans. Ready to buy but want to be prepared. thx!

  • @godsaveamerica2611
    @godsaveamerica2611 8 лет назад +2

    So this eliminates any "dead" responses you appear to get if you press the pedal at the wrong time, say immediately after or at the same time it upshifts? Or lag between the time you press the pedal and when the car downshifts and goes? Can you record a video of you rolling at 40mph and of the instrument cluster and signal to us exactly at the same time you press the pedal all the down by saying "now" to see if any lag exists? I know it's asking a lot maybe, but $300 isn't chump change to just throw around to try it. I currently have the Lund tune and there's still a slight delay imo.

    • @arc00ta
      @arc00ta 8 лет назад +1

      All this does is boost the voltage from the pedal to the throttle stepper motor, there is no gain in power it just increases the speed at which the throttle opens.

    • @secrethandlehuhu
      @secrethandlehuhu 8 лет назад

      This basically simulates a deeper foot press to the computer. Therefore making power less linear. Nothing to do with the dead response. A tune will solve that.

    • @secrethandlehuhu
      @secrethandlehuhu 8 лет назад

      arc00ta it mimicks a deper foot pedal press there "enhanced throttle response." You're probably the type that thinks and intake gives 25 hp.

    • @arc00ta
      @arc00ta 8 лет назад

      An(d) intake "gives up" 25hp? Go troll someone else.

  • @jdalphin

    I've read a fair amount about these. I have an Ecoboost running the stock tune and to me, there's almost a dead zone between 1/3 throttle and about 3/4. I'm wondering if this'll fix that along with a tune.

    • @ALLCYLINDERSTV
      @ALLCYLINDERSTV  8 лет назад +1

      I'd say it's worth a shot. They make a few different modules though, so you may want to check out their site or give JMS a call to see what will work best.

    • @Sj-ux7vb
      @Sj-ux7vb 8 лет назад +1

      Let me know how that goes because I have a ecoboost and yeah I'll agree with you it's so dead if you're not in sports mode or have the pedal straight to the floor, I'm purchasing my Cobb access port and this on top of that:)

    • @jdalphin
      @jdalphin 8 лет назад +1

      Cobb is definitely on the to-do list. Will probably end up being the first thing I do once I find a nearby tuner that has experience or specializes in direct injection cars.

      I removed it when I got my car tuned after adding a "tune required" CAI because it wasn't working well with the tune. But, if you don't have a tune then you'll be fine. It was working with my old tune fine as well. It's just that my new tune already was set to improve throttle response.

    could someone explain to me what this mod actually does and how it'd benefit a stock manual 2013 gt? I have never heard of this before. And I'm just picking up my 2013 tonight lol so I'm curious what this solves. is there a serious throttle lag from the factory?

    • @ALLCYLINDERSTV
      @ALLCYLINDERSTV  8 лет назад

      I wouldn't say there is serious lag. Basically, the device makes it take less effort to accelerate, but it almost feels like your car has been tuned. See VuDoo337's comments above for a more detailed explanation.

    • @godsaveamerica2611
      @godsaveamerica2611 8 лет назад +1

      I just ordered mine after calling jms. The guy explained that the factory pedal to the opening of the throttle body is always gradual not instant. The pedalmax eliminates that and makes the opening instant.

    I have the Speed Booster (basically same thing) and it helps a lot on my car which is a manual. I have heard that throttle lag can be taken out with a tune. Is that not the case, Ali?

    • @RagginKajuN
      @RagginKajuN 8 лет назад +1

      With tuning you can tune out most throttle lag by tricking the throttle body into opening earlier, but it doesn't really do anything at the actual pedal. with that there is still a little lag. The pedalmax and others like it increase the elec signal coming from the pedal itself. which in turn makes the tps see it as more throttle than you are actually giving it. that's why it feels like you have more power and your car is quicker.

    • @BackyardBMX73
      @BackyardBMX73 8 лет назад +2

      +VuDoo337 so, it's still a good mod even with a tune?

    • @godsaveamerica2611
      @godsaveamerica2611 8 лет назад +1

      +VuDoo337 so what do you all mean by lag? When I'm in gear, there's no lag. I press the pedal and it goes. When I use the phrase throttle lag regarding automatics, the lag is time between when you press the pedal and the time that it takes the computer to decide and the transmission to downshift and put it in gear. Will the pedalmax close this gap? I'll upload a video where I will tell you exactly when the pedals pressed and you can see how long it takes to actually start moving.

      Thanks! No, you don't need a tune to install it. It can just function as a gauge monitoring several different things that you have the option of choosing from.

    Great video! I recently installed a pedal max with control knob on a manual 2014 focus and im having an issue. The first month or so it functioned perfectly. The results were wayyyy better than i had imagined. I recommend the product to everyone. However now at random when i start the vehicle, ( Not every time i turn it on, its random ) it will give me an "engine fault service engine immediately" message on the dash whether the control knob is turned off or %100. I have to turn the car on and off until it decides to work. Seems to work ok @ %25 but if i turn it to %100 the car will barely move on flat ground with out stalling. Also @ %100 the throttle has a 1-3 second delay before responding and when it does it will continue to accelerate even after removing my foot from the gas pedal, until the rev limiter kicks in. I think if i disconnect the negative battery cable again it my cause it to reset and function properly the way it did when i first installed it. Any one have any idea what is causing this??? Or how to fix it/ keep it from happening again???

      Thanks! I've never heard of the issue. Have you contacted JMS? They'll probably send you a new one.

      I don't see why it wouldn't. But if I were you, I would contact JMS first to make sure.

    Can I use this and a vmp tune?

      I'm not certain. Most people that I know have Lund tunes. You'll probably want to contact VMP and ask them as each tuning company is different. Lund actually doesn't recommend using the PedalMax with their tunes.
