I had my PX4 Compact since 2008. Its a nail driver, accurate and reliable. Best thing I like is that when you put the safety on, the end of the firing pin move out the way preventing the hammer from striking it until you decide to take the safety off.
I have both, in .40. Good guns. The 226 was a surprise. Really like it. Both tame the .40 well, as does the M&P 2.0. Glocks in .40 not so much. Anyway, I generally don't like Sig, but I regretfully say I like and shoot the 226 better. I made my PX4 a decock only, which is a pain. Tiny roll pins and springs. So from that: Sig is about 2 oz heavier. Both safe & reliable Sig is thinner Sig grips can be changed for looks & texture. The PX4 you can change the rear, but not the texture except for adhesives or stippling. Sig has higher bore axis Both triggers can modded, but the Sig trigger is steel and has a shorter DA trigger because it begins partially cocked. This is a big deal for that first shot. Sig has longer sight radius. Beretta holds one more round with flush mags. Not a big deal. (13 rd mec-gar in Sig, factory in PX4) Other controls are equally good for me. (Slide release / lock, mag release, decocker) The Sig could use a suppressor if a barrel was available or modded. PX4 is a nope. Sig seems to have a more durable finish. More holster options for a 226. Sig has a longer barrel. (Good) The Sig can be racked with the flat rear sight like most guns. The PX4 can be using the decocker wings, if you leave the factory ones. I'm a little sad I like my lightly used 226 more than my '23 PX4. And shoot it better. The PX4 was a bit fat to carry concealed. Perhaps the 226 would work? I normally carry an M&P 2.0 compact .40 or Beretta 81fs .32.
My Mark 25 is the one pistol I’d keep, if I could only own one. It’s not even the one I shoot best, it’s just so much lighter and more ergonomic in my hand (compared to my super accurate CZ Shadow 2).
Thank you! I was 100% looking for this comparison. I've had a px4 storm for a few years and just picked up a p220. Wanted to know other people's thoughts.
It’s funny, I have the compact version of both these guns maxed out to their optimal performance because they’re both my absolute favorite guns. The 229 Legion is by far my absolute favorite Sig, mine is of the Legion variety so it comes with all the bells and whistles, has the Romeo 1 Pro optic which I’ve become a huge fan of over the years a trigger that is beat only by my PX4 Storm Compact that I’ve Langdonized to the nines. Both and amazing shooters though the PX4 gives you better SOW and had such as smooth action that it’s like it rides on buttered ball bearings and that Langdon trigger makes the PX4 Storm the best shooting gun I have in my safe. Love them both!!! I would say that between the triggers, The SRT has some mush between the take up and the break where the PX4 does not. Both amazing in their own rite
I have Sig 226's, 229, and 220's. 9mm, .357 sig, 40, 10mm and 45 ACP. Great guns. I'm very curious about the PX4 and see you can still get one in 40 S&W.
Would you take a look at the Grand Power X-Calibur 9mm? Maybe compare it to the CZ 75/S2? Differences in the grips particularly? 75 fits me like a glove. Wondering about the GP.
Would highly recommend it. Especially the Langdon models. Worth the extra $. I’ve made several videos about the platform and my experience with LTT on my channel. Really appreciate you stopping by!
Considering adding a high end version of these to the mix. LTT PX4 GSD Blackout vs. P226 X Five Legion. I know DA/SA vs. SAO. I am leaning towards the PX4 Storm despite never having shot one. I have owned a couple P226's over the years and like the guns but am interested in the X-five Legion option. The start of this video was hilarious as it is the comparison I was looking for just not the higher end versions...good info...thank you.
As a many years Sig P226 lover, I'd be interested in your opinion of the Arex Zero 1. Also, I love my PX4, too. It's the ugly duckling that you absolutely love! Thanks for the video 👍
I have a Zero also and really like it. The more time I spend with it - it is an incredible value - like crazy good for the price. The controls aren’t quite as smooth as the Sig’s but I’m a big fan of the Arex. Made a video on it last year Sig P226 vs Arex Zero 1 - Clone or Evolution? ruclips.net/video/N0vvTJol54o/видео.html
I owned a PX4. It was terrible. Would not feed. Sent it back to Beretta, Sent pictures to Langdon Tactical and had it looked at by three good gunsmith. No one could make it work. Sooo glad I got rid of it! I'll take my Glocks any day. They always work for me.
I have a Px4 Storm Full Size in 9mm like yours. I love it too. I actually got a great deal on it. I got it online for $400 with night sights. The list on that configuration is $750. It also has a lanyard loop, and I think it was a police overrun. It didn't come with the extra backstraps, but the medium one on it fits me well. I am very medium in build and hands. I did put a D hammer spring on it. I have obtained the stealth G safety levers for it but have not installed them yet. I am looking forward to that. The LTT reset looks great, but it is not bad with the stock trigger. I am also considering the compact version. How do you like that gun?
I'm a PX4 fan. I chose it over the P226 and the HK USP. It's not the prettiest pistol, but it's still awesome and the design makes perfect sense.

I literally was looking for this ... Haha
I put the SRT in my German 229 and made a huge difference. For $50 its worth getting for the 226. Sweet pistols👍
Thanks for the video. Sig 229 owner here. Those are both great guns.
I love my Px4 Storm Type F, and my Stoeger 8040! They are both a lot of fun to shoot! Don't own a SIG, but I might one day!! Fun video!
An interesting comparison would be the Sig P226 (or Sig P229) and the Sig SP2022. Very different, but very similar. Thanks for the video! 👍
that is something he really needs to make the sig Pro/2022 never get any love
Thank you! I was 100% looking for this comparison. I've had a px4 storm for a few years and just picked up a p220. Wanted to know other people's thoughts.
Great comparison, I have a 226 legion on the nightstand and a LTT px4 storm as my carry. Yes, I have good taste in weapons. 😂
Ty for the great video stay blessed 🙏

I see your reviews. Any thoughts on the grip differences?
Good comparison. Very interested in the storm

So Beretta sent it back still failing to feed? Not very reassuring. I like mine, not in love, but maybe I have to get used to it.
