I didn't even listen to what you were saying because I had the volume turned off. Just watching was enough for me to fix my oven. Instead of taking a picture I just pulled each wire and put it in the new board one at a time.....good video!

I broke my parent's oven replacing a lightbulb 2 days ago. I replaced the control board today- cheaper and faster than a service call. Let that be a lesson to me about switching off the breaker. Anyhow, I'm so grateful this video helped me Switch out the part (and how to move over the display without paying for a new one- they're pricey)!

So I did the same thing to my own oven. I didn't turn the circuit breaker off when changing the light bulb. I just got the new part and I am about to replace the circuit board. This video made it seem super easy.

@@davidligman3706 did that too! Had no idea it was necessary to shut off power before changing the bulb. I have never done that before in my life. Hoping that all goes well when plugging back in and that I get everything put back together properly.

Important Tip: I just replaced the inlay and here's a couple things I learned the hard way. You will probably find the plastic case that incases the board is covered with grease from years of cooking and needs to be cleaned DO NOT SPRAY ANYTHING ON IT! It's dark back there so you may not notice the front of the plastic case has holes in it and the spray will get inside and may ruin the board, put the degreaser or windex on a rag and wipe it down. Also the heat can damage the board, I think my old inlay would have come off easily without it. you don't need to unplug anything on the board to change the inlay (except the range's power cord to the wall), the less you mess with the board the better. The new inlay has a self stick adhesive on it and does not need heat to stick as long as the plastic is clean and dry. When I was finished I plugged the range back in and nothing except than the burners worked, the clock flashed and it made a warning beep while the display showed an F7 32 error code. The burners were still functional but nothing else, the alarm would go off every 5 minutes when the range was plugged in until I pushed the CLEAR button so we had to turn off the range's breaker in the fuse box when not in use. I spent $100 ordering a new board, then the next morning I turned the breaker back on so I could use the burner to make eggs and I noticed the clock was stable, when I tested everything else it was working again! I'm guessing the degreaser I mistakenly sprayed on the board must have finally dried up causing it to start working again

great video but what if the old control board has one male 5 prong unit and the new one has 2 - a red one and a white one, do you just use the red side only and plug old female side in

There are 2 white wire connectors attached to the controller. The connections are identified as TB100 and TB101 on the board and appear to be locking. How do you unlock the connectors? Pulling on the wires does not work. Thank you.

my oven heats up but the flame oscillates from a large flame to a small flame, even going out completely at times. the sound of the flame makes a sort of huffing sound, with the bottom of the oven panel removed I can see that the flame is not well controlled although the oven will reach temperature. The question is, should I replace the control board?

@@RIOAguilar1717 do you know how to use a volt meter? you can test where the short is coming from. could he the board the wires or the censor. if not you can replace each part till it works. if no wires look loose and youve already replaced the censor its a good chance its the board. for sure. its not too hard to replace take the knobs off open the back take a picture so you know where the wires belong. take the wires out and unscrew it. goes with out saying but I will put this here anyways. make sure you unplug the stove before anything 240 volts is no joke its not like the 120 volts a normal outlet if you get shocked either could kill you but its twice as likely with that much juice.
