- A very common issue with ovens and microwaves these days is that the buttons stop working and the panels need to be replaced. If the keypad isn't working on your range or oven, you need to watch this video! In this video I show you how you can save HUNDREDS of dollars by fixing the panel yourself using a $0.10 pencil eraser.

You literally just saved my family between $1k & $1.5k!! We had given up on the range and had already priced a replacement. I found your video and thought that there was no way I would be able to fix this in 20 minutes with an eraser. IT WORKED! Every button is back. We lived without a clock for 2 months. Yesterday we couldn’t turn the oven off without flipping the breaker. I figured it was already broke, so what’s the worst I could do if I tried it. Thank You!
I just used the same technique on my vehicle's key fob! It worked and saved me at least 3 hours driving to the dealership plus whatever they would have charged me. Thank you!
This truly works! I ordered a $120 touchpad, thinking I needed to replace the 'broken' touchpad on my Samsung gas range. Then I watched Tommy's video and thought I'd give it a try before installing the new touchpad. It took me about 5 minutes (most of that is pulling out the stove and unscrewing the back panel) and violá. It worked instantly. I was able to return the unopened box containing the new touchpad to the repair parts dealer and got all my money back. Before all this, I contacted Samsung and the response, as one would think, made no mention of the potential for a loose or dirty connection. Instead they suggested I unplug the stove or have a technician Iook at it. It costs $65 just for a technician to come to the house, let alone examine the stove. This fix saved me a ton of time and money. Thanks so much, Tommy.

5 years later and your video still works! Just did this to my mom's oven. She had a heart attack this year and has been eating really healthy but limited on what she can cook without the oven working. Thankyou so much!
I can confirm this absolutely works. Got a Samsung oven from Costco and only 6 months in, got the C-F2 error on and off that would stay on for weeks. Costco's 90 days satisfaction guarantee already passed so we were pretty much screwed. When the error was on, the oven was just a brick and couldn't be used. The burners would work but anything in the oven was a no go. Unplugging and replugging only resulted in a immediate C-F2 error. And on the days it would clear (when it would decide to behave and the error would clear by pressing "Off/Clear") the oven would work fine, no problem at all. Got tired trying to just wait the code out and ran into this video. And this eraser ribbon cleaning WORKS. THANK YOU. Time will tell if the error returns but if it does, I'll just go back to cleaning the ribbon. This video deserves all the likes, praise, and tips. TY again

First the zero wouldn't work, then the 3...it wasn't until the 'start' button started to show signs of failing that we started to worry about it. We priced new panels and they were $300+ and then, we come across this video and it totally worked!!! We now have all the buttons working again and are forever grateful for this video!!! We have exactly the same oven and replaced the board two times and each lasted about 2-3 years before malfunctioning again. Stove hasn't worked for about 1yr+ cooking in a toaster/ bake oven..finally found warranty papers n called and was out of warranty. $500 to repair the oven was there quote.i came across your video and said why not what do I have to lose.cleaned that piece maybe 5x,3 erasers later.broil function started working but not the bake. Cleaning with rubbing alcohol a week ago didn’t fix the problem. Started to consider a vet expensive double oven replacement and tried this. IT WORKED, no problems for over a week now! Thank you...thank you...thank you!

My stove woke me up this morning around 5AM with beeping and an error code on the display which meant there was something wrong with my membrane display. This just saved our Thanksgiving! It worked perfectly. I have replaced the panel twice at a few hundred dollars each time and it is pretty clear all I needed to do was this simple maintenance task. Your video just saved me from buying a $250 panel. I was having the heat problem as well the button panel would heat up and turn off. I’ve seen videos of people cleaning ribbon connections with pencil erasers before I did not know this panel had a ribbon connector found it cleaned it fixed it. so I think you by subscribing and liking.
