Agreed... with the exception of the _"Die Another Day"_ (2002) movie intro @ 8:34 .. F it, too late now."_ .... I mean it's not even set at the same damn tempo or close to being in sync! C'mon man! 🤦♂️ Secondly, wtf was he shooting at us with? Hits the mark for me because he's one of the few looking down his sights- The other Bonds' walked and did a Swish and flick like they got lucky, but Pierce walked into that line of sight like he already knew where the target was.
My favorite gun barrel is still Timothy Dalton's for "License to Kill." Such a dark and dramatic musical choice for it and set the tone for the movie right at the start.

Tomorrow Never Dies is Brosnan's best imo. I would argue that No Time To Die is Daniel's best, but I personally like how aggressive he is in Quantum Of Solace.
George Lazenby's walk and pose for "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" gun barrel sequence is the best but I think the best variation of the 007 theme itself belongs to "For Your Eyes Only", "Goldeneye", "Quantum of Solace", and "Spectre".
Lazenby overdid it in my opinion. He walks on to the screen without much commitment, drops on one knee, and flops his arm a bit. It doesn’t help that the music’s a bit off and that you can barely hear the gun firing.
Same, except for the movie. I prefer the music in License To Kill over the Living Daylights. As for the gun-barrel turn-n-shoot sequence, I believe it's the same for both movies. Love Simmons' jump, but it looks a little goofy next to future shots. -Poor old Connery always looked like he was about to topple over. -Lazenby drops, draws, and shoots so quickly you'd be dead before you even knew anything was happening. -Moore full on misses in his first attempt, then pulls the gun so slowly in his second try there's no way he'd survive. -Dalton is so smooth, almost cat-like, ready to pounce. -Brosnan is calm, confident, and deadly. -And unfortunately Craig never quite hit his stride, literally. His most natural shot is Casino Royale, which is brilliant, but the walks in all the others show he's not comfortable. So stiff and awkward, going either too fast or too slow, and swinging the gun around in his last two. It's tough, Lazenby's shot is perfect and Dalton's walk is like a prowl, but I'm giving it to Brosnan for balancing both brilliantly well.
That’s a very well reasoned argument. I think Connery’s gun-barrel is iconic and I love it, but you get the sense that he really is using that hand to steady himself 🤣
I’m 13 years old and I am glad I saw the last James Bond movie at the cinema it is the only bond movie I saw at the movies and I can remember when the gun barrel came on
In case you haven't watched any other ones-you should totally check them out,a few stinkers in there, but a generally fun and enjoyable series. Pretty sure all of them are on Amazon Prime now
Honestly, the cold start of Casino Royale is my favorite because it uses the classic shot in a creative way. I want to see more of that: There's a cold start. We don't know what's going on. Somebody's about to shoot 007, we see the gun, then the gun barrel, the iconic shot (heh) and BOOM!! The opening credits...
As someone who otherwise never was into James Bond, I think Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies are my favorites. The sleek and shiny gun barrel leading into Brosnan's perfect turn and shoot, and Goldeneye's iris opening into a dramatic shot over a dam was really good, while I really like the sly music of Tomorrow Never Dies's. Also, Casino Royale's unique twist on the gun barrel sequence works really well. The cold open ending with the unexpected gun barrel shot, Craig's turn and shoot looked really good, and the music starting up after the shot all worked really well.
@@victorfadel06 I believe Dalton didn't change his either. It's the same for LD & LTK. And personally, Dalton takes the number #1 spot for me. I put Brosnan in 3rd place. 2nd place goes to Lazenby, the ONLY Bond who kneels, blood drip erases him and a MAJOR IMPROVEMENT over Connery's silly intro.
1. Casino Royale 2. Brosnan 3. Connery 4. Spectre 5. Dalton 6. Moore 1 7. Moore 2 8. Simmons 9. No Time to Die 10. Lazenby 11. Skyfall 12. Quantum of Solace
Dr. No gun barrel is my favorite. It looks very cinematic, very spy-like, and I love how it has that ambient beeping noise and then breaks into the theme song. So cool!
The most unique gun barrel of them ALL is Lazenby's, the way he strolls with so much confidence and then dropping to one knee with jacket tail flapping shoulders back and chest out.... As a 55 year old life long Bond fan, it's definitely the best for me
The one intro that is completely different than the others are the one for Casino Royale where the classic white circles are not present although the returned in later movies, perhaps by public demand? Anyway, the Casino Royale intro sequence going from the gun barrel clip to the Chris Cornell intro is just magnificent and never fails to give me goosebumps. RIP Chris.
Casino Royale: Bond becomes 007, the camera zooms out into the barrel Quantum of Solace: Bond walks fast because he was chasing his enemy. Skyfall: Bond walks slow because he lost his condition after his train accident Spectre: Bond didn’t hide his gun because he’s expected by his enemy No time to Die: Bond dies, the camera zooms in out of the barrel
It's either a stupid mistake on the production team's part,or a deliberate choice. Bond is so good and feared as an assassin, that hiding the gun at this point wouldn't change anything
Craig paradoxically has the best one (casino royale) and the worst ones (the rest you can clearly see the gun swinging in his hand before he turns to fire) I think just in terms of impact, Brosnan's - although clearly reused for every film - felt the most sudden and visceral
Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies are just perfect. The soundtrack, the quick draw, the stare, the blood effect and gun wobble. *chefs kiss* Edit: After watching them again Die Another Day is also really cool with the bullet coming straight for you lol.
And the fact that the blood erases his image foreshadows that the violence that occurs in the film (the bloodshed of his wife) will destroy Bond on the inside.
Aside from Casino Royale (which was very creative btw), everyone in charge of Daniel Craig's gunbarrel sequences should be never allowed to work in cinema again. They are a parody. The best, by far, is Pierce Brosnan's Goldeneye gunbarrel. It's easily the most fluid and my God he looks suave. It's incredible.
I’m the original 007 this is for the books and for your videos fan! Thanks for the takes on all gun barrels that reminded me who I am today an ex mi6 agent and cia director
It's amazing how they filmed Daniel Craig's one five times, and they never got it right. Okay, Casino Royale can't really be thrown in there, and it was nice and creative (my favourite of his), but the rest are all just wrong for various reasons (QOS: too quick, Skyfall: horrible lighting, but probably the closest, Spectre: you can see the gun hand waving about, NTDD: too quick, again that gun hand).
Agreed. How hard can it be? His pose isn’t too bad, but everything else is just rubbish, except No Time To Die, which I thought was… OK, but it still has all the problems you mentioned. The Casino Royale one is brilliant however!
I can't believe they ruined Die Another Day's one using a stupid CGI bullet. My favorite would be from Casino Royale: i just love that opening riff in You Know My Name!
My favorite gunbarrels: Dr. No, Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, The Living Daylights, Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Casino Royale, Skyfall, Spectre, No Time To Die
I know there were many more technical limitations in the 60s/70s, but how did they mess up Sean Connery, George Lazenby and Roger Moores's (first one) with the shot of the actors having a black line between them and the Gunbarrel graphic?
Golden Eye and Casino Royale were my favorites. It seemed like these two set a standard by changing the gun barrel from a PNG to a 3D model and then started using it as a part of the animation.

Aww man! I wish you'd went with the MGM/Universal version of the _No Time to Die_ gun barrel. That black and white globe blending seamlessly into the black and white gun barrel blew my mind when I first saw it in the cinema!
We're in an exciting time now. Even though the next version of Bond is probably still years away, we're in that transition period that's always exciting for the series. Getting to find out who the next actor is, getting an idea for the tone, seeing the first Gunbarrel for the new actor. And if you factor in IOI's Project 007, that's two new iterations to look forward to in this regard.
Brosan had the best overall gunbarrel. He does it with so much smoothness, and the CGI update of the gunbarrel works really well. Dalton’s did pretty well too, Roger had a couple of good themes for his, and the Diamonds are Forever one has a shiny diamond tint to the gunbarrel. Personally I think Lazenby had the weakest as he lacks conviction and the music is really weird, but Craig had a few sloppy ones.

Ranking of gunbarell preformer 7. Roger moore "no roger pls dont hold the gun with two hands" 6. Bob simmons well he made the gunbarell we know today but its plain af 5. George lazenby :- that knee drop followed by the echos of gunshot was amazing 2. Pierce brosnan :- well CGI helps the design of gunbarell with the animation and brosnan brings out his swag. 1. Timothy dalton :- he looked like a professinal killer who could strike out anytime and both of his gunbarell had awesome music.

Good lord all these comments about people not knowing who Bob Simmons was....it's not even that hard to do a basic Google search rather than comment and insist the uploader doesn't know what he's talking about and making yourselves look like fools in the process.
Sean Connery Bond Movies (1962-1971) George Lazenby Bond Movie (1969-1969) Roger Moore Bond Movies (1973-1985) Timothy Dalton Bond Movies (1987-1989) Pierce Bronson (1995-2002) Daniel Craig (2006-2021)
The blood flow is different with every new actor, and every time they did a new gun-barrel throughout their run. What you probably mean though is that Goldeneye was the first to have CGI blood.
I’m gonna be biased here as Roger Moore as my favourite James Bond actor (although Pierce Bronson is a close second) but I honestly think that For Your Eyes Only has the best gun barrel sequence. For the most part, every other movie has a very simple instrumental that roughly follows the James Bond theme. However, in FYEO, the score is so intense and charismatic and energetic and I’m instantly invested in the movie. Not to mention it’s one of the more grounded and realistic James Bond films with a focus on technology falling in the wrong hands instead of the more fun (but silly) villains with supernatural or mysterious personas.
I prefer the music in License To Kill. As for the pose, I believe it's the same for LD & LTK. I believe Dalton only shot this once and he did it perfectly. To date (2024/01/04), Dalton has THE BEST turn-n-shoot gun-barrel sequence. 2nd, for me personally, is Lazenby. The only Bond who kneels. And the blood drip erases him. Creative thinking for 1969 and a MAJOR IMPROVEMENT over Connery's turn-n-shoot. 3rd goes to Brosnan. His turn-n-shoot is both efficient & cool looking.
My favorite out of all these is George Lazenbys barrel sequence... because he hets down on one knee... hes the only one to do that... then my second favorite is Die Another Day because you actually see the bullet... and my third favorite is no time to die for its uniqueness

Muy favorite gunbarrel is Goldeneye. The music is so good.
Amen! The intro is so amazing! Gets me pumped for the movie every time!
Not my favourite bond but Brosnan has the best gun-barrel of them all, his posture, confidence etc it’s all perfect.
Agreed
I like how the final movie doesn’t have James Bond shoot the screen, instead moving the camera forward, foreshadowing the ending.
Peirce Brosnan has the only gunbarrel that wasn't changed. Other that CGI bullet in Die Another Day. He really does have that swagger.
You can't change perfection.
1. Casino Royale
2. Brosnan
3. Connery
4. Spectre
5. Dalton
6. Moore 1
7. Moore 2
8. Simmons
9. No Time to Die
10. Lazenby
11. Skyfall
12. Quantum of Solace
How the hell is Casino Royale 1 when it ruined the tradition?
@@Nekotaku_TVbc it’s epic 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎 it made me go woah and wow
As a 55 year old life long Bond fan, it's definitely the best for me
I agree. His swaggering cool walk is amazing
2:25
Agreed.
Totalmente de acuerdo...Excelente Lazenby....Majestuosa presentación.
Confidence was the one thing Lazenby really lacked when playing Bond.
Live and Let Die and Casino Royale, the best walkthrough hands down.
Brosnan really had the best gun barrels. 7:30 is probably the best one ever done in my opinion. Just gets you so excited for the movie
Man, the earliest gun barrels were trippy
God, how did George do that. He literally gets down on… one… knee…
.
Those sneaky bastards
Yeah his is the best because that's not as easy as all the others ;Infact, it's the hardest one & most physically out of all of them.
@@Elknkam It's also the only movie where Bond gets married, so him getting down on one knee is foreshadowing
¡¡¡ Excelente presentación de George Lazenby !!!
RIP Chris.
Most iconic intro sequence of cinema history. James Bond was a legend, is a legend and will remain a legend forever.
I love the Live and Let Die music, so funky!
I love how for Spectre, Craig is clearly not trying at all to hide the gun 😂
Casino Royale: Bond becomes 007, the camera zooms out into the barrel
Quantum of Solace: Bond walks fast because he was chasing his enemy.
Skyfall: Bond walks slow because he lost his condition after his train accident
Spectre: Bond didn’t hide his gun because he’s expected by his enemy
No time to Die: Bond dies, the camera zooms in out of the barrel
He's like: "Come at me, Spectre"
It's either a stupid mistake on the production team's part,or a deliberate choice. Bond is so good and feared as an assassin, that hiding the gun at this point wouldn't change anything
I’ve watched this move tons of times loved the whole vibe of old school bond but now it’s ruined with the gun waving 😂😂😂
@Natanaelluna007 Idk,IMO Spectre is not that good. To each their own
Craig paradoxically has the best one (casino royale) and the worst ones (the rest you can clearly see the gun swinging in his hand before he turns to fire) I think just in terms of impact, Brosnan's - although clearly reused for every film - felt the most sudden and visceral
I like how the first James Bond movie open are just a calm music before the real thing kicks in
This is iconic. There is no franchise that gets better. 007 is the best intro of all time.
Brosnan has always been my favorite.
The gunbarrel of A view to a kill is so underrated
A view to a kill è fantastico
My fav 6 would have to be:
1: Goldeneye
2. Casino Royale
3. For Your Eyes Only
4. Licence to Kill
5. Thunderball
6. Live and Let Die
Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies are just perfect. The soundtrack, the quick draw, the stare, the blood effect and gun wobble. *chefs kiss*
Edit: After watching them again Die Another Day is also really cool with the bullet coming straight for you lol.
2:43 I didn’t realize this till recently that Lazenby’s pose foreshadowed Bond’s marriage.
Maybe they should have stick to the realistic gunbarrel like they did on casino royale
Can I just say that reverb in the percussion in Goldeneye sounds absolutely ethereal!
I actually love how the _No Time To Die_ one forshadows his death
I never thought Skyfall looked great in general. I thought the digital cinematography stuck out like a sore thumb. 🤐
Rip cameramans 😭
I pretty sure that’s what all the small enemies and main villains see when they die
I can't believe they ruined Die Another Day's one using a stupid CGI bullet.
My favorite would be from Casino Royale: i just love that opening riff in You Know My Name!
We have different definitions for "ruined"
I LOVE how Daniel is the one how dies from the gun barrel scene in No Time To Die, implying he dies in that episode.
I only just realised how terrible the lightning is on the Skyfall one. Very harsh lighting with half of Craig's head obscured as he walks in.
Not to mention the gunbarrel itself looks awful
@RandomRUclipsChannel, except they weren’t talking about GoldenEye.
That was intended one,
Skyfall showed James Bond's dark past
It was showcased in the gunbarrel as Bond emerging from dark
It looks horrendous. His walk is awful as well. He was too fast in Quantum, and like a pensioner in Skyfall 🤣
It's intentional. Whether or not it was a good idea is up to you, but it was definitely on purpose. I liked it.
No time to die's Gunbarrel fadding to light is foreshadowing for James going to the light meaning he's going to die
My favourite ones are For your eyes only, Licence to Kill, Goldeneye, Spectre and Diamonds are forever...
Did you know . The first couple of gun barrel sequences were not performed by sean connery, it was performed by stunt arranger/performer bob simmons
It does actually say that in the intros to be fair
Golden Eye and Casino Royale were my favorites. It seemed like these two set a standard by changing the gun barrel from a PNG to a 3D model and then started using it as a part of the animation.
Ranking of the gunbarrell of respective actors/performer
Bob simmons(1962-64)
3. From russia with love
2. Goldfinger
1. Dr no
Bob simmons made the gunbarrell we know today, well even tho all of his gunbarell arw similar, it's dr no that deserves some credit.
Sean connery(1965-71)
3. Thunderball
2. You only live twice
1. Diamonds are forever
Well all of it comes down to music, DAF actually had great music behind the gunbarell.
Roger moore(1973-85)
7. The spy who loved me
6. View to a kill
5. Octopussy
4. Moonraker
3. The man with a golden gun
2. Live and let die
1. For your eyes only
Well only LALD and TMWAGG were good gunbarell because roger moore had correct posture. But FYEO takes the top spot for amazing music
Timothy dalton
2. The living daylights
1. Licence to kill
Well dalton had excellent gunbarell. But it comes down to music and LTK sets the tonw of the movie with that music
Pierce brosnan
4. Die another day
3. Goldeneye
2. The world is not enough
1. Tommorow never dies
I hate both DaD and goldeneye's gunbarell, dad for the CGI bullet but loved the music and hated goldeneye for that awful music but loved the overall design of gunbarell. So TND has great music and design
Daniel craig
5. Quantum of solance
4. Spectre
3. Skyfall
2. No time to die
1. Casino royale
Well QoS has the most rushed aand spectre looked so dull. Skyfall was good but it doesnt deserved to be placed at the end of the movie. NTTD had the best transition and foreshadowing yet CR one is still amazing
Aww man! I wish you'd went with the MGM/Universal version of the _No Time to Die_ gun barrel. That black and white globe blending seamlessly into the black and white gun barrel blew my mind when I first saw it in the cinema!
Goldeneye's music was... interesting. Certainly more jazzy than the usual.
90s af and I love every second.
Tomorrow never dies is the best IMO, the perfect blend of the classic theme, modern graphics, and syncing the shot with the music.
Brosnan is so elegant
My favorite gunbarrel intros:
1. Casino Royale
2. Quantum of Solace
3. License to Kill
4. On her Majesty's Secret service
5. The Living daylights
6. Goldeneye
Ranking of gunbarell preformer
7. Roger moore "no roger pls dont hold the gun with two hands"
6. Bob simmons well he made the gunbarell we know today but its plain af
5. Daniel craig Shocking considering he had some of unique gunbarell but it ultimates comes to consistency and he had terrible consistency
4. Sean connery :- he did it with class.
3. George lazenby :- that knee drop followed by the echos of gunshot was amazing
2. Pierce brosnan :- well CGI helps the design of gunbarell with the animation and brosnan brings out his swag.
1. Timothy dalton :- he looked like a professinal killer who could strike out anytime and both of his gunbarell had awesome music.
GoldenEye and the few that follow were very nice. Walk and turn, a quick draw with very few movements, straight to the trigger.
Pierce is No. 1 and it's not even close for anyone else.
I always felt the Goldeneye intro was the best out of all of them. My favorite Bond movie for sure! Freakin awesome in my opinion. That intro always gets me pumped for the movie! Can’t believe how old it is already! Pierce will always be my favorite Bond! Change my mind 😉
Good lord all these comments about people not knowing who Bob Simmons was....it's not even that hard to do a basic Google search rather than comment and insist the uploader doesn't know what he's talking about and making yourselves look like fools in the process.
Goldfinger and Thunderball are my favourites of the older Bond movies and both have a great score!!
I think we can all agree that Pierce Brosnan's were the best
That Goldeneye music, just night and day different from either of the films around it. Definitely makes a statement.
Sean Connery Bond Movies (1962-1971)
George Lazenby Bond Movie (1969-1969)
Roger Moore Bond Movies (1973-1985)
Timothy Dalton Bond Movies (1987-1989)
Pierce Bronson (1995-2002)
Daniel Craig (2006-2021)
Pierce Brosnan is the best Bond. Best gadgets, coolest intros, and he just fits Bond more than any other actor imo.
Goldeneye The Movie is the first one they start changing the blood animation
The blood flow is different with every new actor, and every time they did a new gun-barrel throughout their run. What you probably mean though is that Goldeneye was the first to have CGI blood.
Never forget this fact: James Bond is a Time Lord.
Which James Bond???
TWINE was on point, NTTD was chilling.
The power of Bill Conti's cowbells
Ё... КЛМН ! Так много частей! Даже подумать не мог что в Бондиане столько фильмов😮
I love the first couple of ones, I find the little hop he does so amusing
Casino Royale is by far my favorite
Licence to Kill was very foreboding. Suited Dalton's darker Bond perfectly.
I think the best is the living daylights from Dalton. Good music and good pose.
Yes. Licence to kill has a splendid music. Very agressive.
but i prefer Barry. The music is better i think.
Wow Is A Stunning Gunbarrel In The Philippines🇵🇭
What don't they just make Tom Hardy James Bond, he's the most Badass guy in England!
Must say, I like Spectre's gunbarrel. How the light fades on him, subtle touch but makes a difference. Also, No Time To Die: Bond fades this time..
Bond not hiding his gun is like a hint to that he's the one hunting them down
The lighting also foreshadowed the meeting scene
In The Living Daylights the blood starts flowing before Bond fires
Gracias por esa excelente introducción,de uno de mis agentes favoritos.
Goldeneye is one of the best, so sleek and smooth yet simple.
My favorite out of all these is George Lazenbys barrel sequence... because he hets down on one knee... hes the only one to do that... then my second favorite is Die Another Day because you actually see the bullet... and my third favorite is no time to die for its uniqueness
