The actual reason why the Fire Nation was able to roll over most enemies was because of their technological and organizational advantage. The fire nation basically had tech and government institutions comparable to the 1860s while the earth kingdom and water tribes were somewhere around the 1560s with warlords running their theaters only nominally fighting for the King in Ba Sing Se or stuck inside their fortress like the Northern Water Tribe.

Went to a small ramen shop up a flight of stairs. The shop is full of guys in matching suits who all look at me the minute I come in. 1:18:35 That's actually easy to answer, The Beetles. There were times when The Beetles had to stop playing shows because the crowd was cheering so loudly that the members of the band couldn't hear their own music playing. That is insane levels of popularity. I've never heard anything even remotely close to that from Taylor Swift concerts.
Does the time period have anything to do with that? What location did that happen? That seems like a bad example. Not to say they weren't huge but I think I'd still have MJ at the top
As someone who isn't a Swifty but grew up with family members who listened to her, people really undersell how diverse Taylor's music is and her earlier achievements. I think Connor was speaking to the fact that in the NFL, franchises can just uproot themselves and move, no matter how deep their ties to the city were and without any fan input. Im guessing its in contrast to english football, where a team leaving is much more rare or unheard of.
@@edvelociraptor1794 That's probably his argument, but he was also saying that they didn't change the name. I'm guessing his indignation would be like if Manchester City moved to London or something but kept the name.
@@Marvelsoup Yeah but because they have been oakland for so long some people still don't refer to them as las vegas raiders. But officially they are no longer oakland raiders.
they will 100% remove all the blind jokes from toph, instead everyone will explicitly complement her about how good she is while being blind and be like "i'm so proud of you"
The worst part about that is that the blind jokes didn't come from a place of "haha you're blind lmao". People would forget that she is blind because she is so competent and that would lead to the punchline.
1:59:05 this reaction where Joey nearly had a heart attack and two staff member sounded like they died.
Connors Bizzare storys have made me laugh so hard I cant imagine being in his shoes
Conner defending Korra is amazing im all here for it
We love to see it
I’m not surprised! He’s the youngest and most likely to have not been disappointed by Korra. It is still entertaining though, I agree there.
@@FullmoonPhantom-dn2sr well tbf I think he watched it before joey as Joey only watched it in 2020. It’s kinda weird he’s taking such a stance against it but he also refuses to watch arcane so we’re all used to his choices by now I think 😂
Oh boy the thumbnail and title got changed and I thought it was somehow a new episode
The last 3rd of this episode was some insane Yakuza side missions XD
I didn't realize 300$ was a significant amount to these guys.
Joey is very aware of his money as he said
@@ochahap300 for joey though
The bottom line is $300 was improperly used from company expenses and Joey was not told until a month after it happened and during the podcast where he obviously isn't going to go into a tirade. Sure it is funny for us but a breach of trust for the company.
$300 being spent behind your back isn’t cool.
@@TheRedKnight101no, $300 is joey's share of the $900 that was spent
I've been watching you for two years in Russian translation, but the guys don't have much energy to do translations. My English level does not allow me to watch you comfortably, and I miss you very much 💔💔💔
Strongest second half of an episode ever absolutely top tier
The Las Vegas raiders are now called the Las Vegas raiders. They moved for money and the new stadium. They changed the name. The closest is the San Francisco 49ers are about an hour outside of San Fran
I do agree that there is something about trash taste's editing and pacing that is really addictive
this is one of the only podcasts I keep binging just because you guys are likeable and the conversations flow super well most of the time
This has got to be one of the most S-Tier Episodes ever. The PLOT TWIST !
I love it ! Man... this was amazing !
The TT beer better be close to Budweiser since they liked it so much 🤣
THANK YOU foe changing the title bois. Now we know what the highlight of the episode is.
I cant believe they had a whole conversation about Zaddy without mentioning Pedro Pascal
Such a good episode.
the buildup from the yakuza guy they decided to follow to the bunny girl bar incident, and Joey's reaction was just the cherry on top!
Connor was right, that was a great bit
That last 6 minutes was the best trash taste banter I’ve seen in literal years
1:18:35 That's actually easy to answer, The Beetles.
Not to say they weren't huge but I think I'd still have MJ at the top
did you say… bunny girl? BUNNY GIRLLLLLLLL! I’M BOUTTA HIT A WHITE FLASH UWAHHHHHHHHHHHH
Connor just talking out his ass, they are not called the Oakland raiders anymore
As someone who isn't a Swifty but grew up with family members who listened to her, people really undersell how diverse Taylor's music is and her earlier achievements. She was the youngest artist ever to win a Grammy. You Belong with Me, Back to December, Bad Blood sound so different from one another. Imo it's about equivalent to where people discount the diversity of The Beatles with stuff like Day Tripper, Rocky Raccoon, and Sgt Peppers.
Kai recoiling in the background when he found out the damage at the girls bar was amazing
