Yoshiki Tanaka's very keen political insight when writing Legend of the Galactic heroes came from his scholarship involving the Sui, Tong dynasties and Persian's imperial history.
To play devil's advocate . It is easy to say things like "we should fund all science more", but as someone who works in the environmental field, often times there is a limited budget and choices have to be made. Then when another agency wants money for an envionmental study or carbon capture project it is met with hostility from one side and it is often not passed or passed in a gutted form. So while I wouldn't say space exploration is a waste of money I don't think its necessarily wrong to say there is an argument that those funds could be better spent on the benefit of humanity.

I don't think ill ever understand people's criticism of early One Piece animation while it is older, it isn't bad at all. It's obviously not on the same level as anything current but saying it's bad is actually just wrong and feels like something a teenager who has only seen current shonen would say. I think the animation completely mirrors the manga in every way that matters and I'd honestly argue that the newer One Piece having way better (or newer) animation might be worse if they make it too current. I'm still excited for it because eventually it will fix the pacing issues later on down the line when I'm 50 or some shit lol. I wonder how different these food delivery apps are in Japan, because here in Europe, its very expensive compared to making your own. Diner usually involves ordering a minimum of 20 dollars, where I pay 5 or 6 if I make it myself. Also not that many healthy options here either.
one time they said it's not expensive at all. You get the food delivered and a meal costs around 10€ I think they said. With Uber! Normal pizza delivery on the other hand is pretty expensive in Japan.
A lot of the technology and quality of life we have today WEREN'T invented/discovered deliberately. Scientists and mathematicians did their research for ARTISTIC sake (for a lack of a better term) - NOT as a deliberate method to make life better. Einstein, Newton, Leibniz and many others not only had no idea that their research would be so beneficial to humanity to the point of being the basis for modern civilization - they didn't even CONSIDER it as a possibility. Their texts and remarks about their study tells us that they viewed mathematics and sciences as art - like you would with music and conventional art. It is the pursuit of your curiosities that progresses humanity's potential, it seems, while a deliberate effort to make life better only increases humanity's efficiency of its current potential. Both are equally important and should not be neglected. And this principal also applies to individuals.
With the HxH animation I agree with completely Connor that’s it wasn’t very standoutish but it was still good. And personally I think that’s because they didn’t try to get this super insane quality, throughout the arcs it was always consistent and it was more about these grandiose scenes and the art behind it. We all recognize grandpa raining down with golden dragons, netero creepy ass face fighting Meruem, gon standing over pitou with tear running down his face or when netero saw gon right before he chased pitou. Killuas lighting god pose. Meruem holding the shogi girl after she dies. Morel testing gons strength To me the scenes are less about “look how smooth this looks” and more about look how impactful this single scene is we want you to feel the emotion in this scene and Remember it
It's one of the most expensive anime per episode to ever be created. There is a reason why it's so good and it's because the anime is done well all around.
Personally I adult content is unhealthy overall, the statement of "it can be healthy in moderation" is a bad excuse that doesn't equate for society as a whole. I personally think that sexual desires should be fulfilled by either a girlfriend or a wife, if this was the case then A: no one would get unrealistic expectations for bodies B: people would keep their sexual desires with their partners and not leak it out onto others within society (younger kids who are messed up in the head by adult content) C: normalizing adult content in general is a bad thing for the youth and most of the people too, the reason cheating and sex is seen practically as a normal everyday thing in the west is because of the insane amount of adult content. Idk If anyone is gonna read this tho, if u do.. give me ur opinion to my take ig
The artstyle of Violet evergarden definetly made me more interested in watching it I wouldn’t necessarily be so invested in a deep story about people wanting to connect with eachother with letters like that

31:20 Nanatsu no taizai is THE proof of what bad animation can do to a popular anime
You guys did it. There is more TrashTase content than One Piece (at least the anime)
Swag episode, was actually dialed in and cant sleep becuasei was so invested 👍🏻💪🏻 been here since ep1
"Connor is aging at the speed of whites" yup, that's it, I really felt that
With the HxH animation I agree with completely Connor that’s it wasn’t very standoutish but it was still good.
Morel testing gons strength
To me the scenes are less about “look how smooth this looks” and more about look how impactful this single scene is we want you to feel the emotion in this scene and Remember it
It's one of the most expensive anime per episode to ever be created.
There is a reason why it's so good and it's because the anime is done well all around.
Kemono Friends Season 1. Horrendous animation. Phenomenal Show.
I'm sad that nobody remembers anymore.
They ain't gonna talk about that. Kadokawa screwed the director
Welcome back Baby Boy Connor
1:49:28 just Connor yawning next to Joey and Garnt arguing xD
The Jaws of Life are a hydrolic tool that can be cutters that are used to rescue people from car crashes.
I always thought it had a dope name.
When talking about wasting money I always like to remind myself america could half their military budget and still have the largest
The artstyle of Violet evergarden definetly made me more interested in watching it I wouldn’t necessarily be so invested in a deep story about people wanting to connect with eachother with letters like that
cant believe they got Mr Beast on the Podcast
THE AUDIO IN THE SPONSORED SEGMENT LMAOOO
