The kitchen is one of my favorites in your project especially the placement of THE COFFEE STATION. I am also loving the use of the wall coverings, the placement of furniture, the walls that are painted in white, and the great use of space as well. She’s right. You see so many model homes and kitchens by people who don’t cook or clean. There’s nowhere for stuff, appliances etc. The one that gets me is where we live we must separate trash into 5 categories so you need 5 bins in the kitchen, you never see that shown in interior design makeovers or if you do, they are tiny little things. I liked this design, it was relatable as the size of the rooms was what you get in a standard home.
4:45 this is fantastic advice. I have seen so many homes that have a wow factor, but the practicality factor was completely ignored. They sadly ended up with a showpiece that they can't "live in" I love function as much as form....when you can marry the two together, you have a 100% successful design. btw, I love Emilia's personality. She seems like a no-nonsense, easy to work with person with a lot of passion for her craft.

Thanks for the enlightening ideas about every day living essentials. I am currently looking for a house and so far all the houses I have seen don't even have space for these so called every day essentials. No place for brooms and vacuum cleaner, much more for a carpet cleaner! No pantry not even a space for it. The kitchens I have seen are either too small, too dark, cabinets too high, and no space for a trash can (I have 2 dogs). I don't know why some of the bathrooms are too small but has a huge linen cabinet inside. The most recent house I have seen, the air intake (about 2x4 feet) is right outside the entrance to the 2 bedrooms.
i love the space! only thing i didn't love is the table, i have the same and wish i went with a bigger table. i feel she could've given them a bigger table too.
